  1. What is this upsurge in love for Modular synth all about these days? I assume its coming from Chery audio efforts? Its not for everybody as the learning curve is specialist and somewhat steep, to make the most of Modular synths?
  2. Pretty much the same as previous Audio and vegas bundles, mostly same versions too of recent humble bundle versions. Only new thing really is Vegas Pro Edit 16, in last similar HB it was Vegas Pro Edit 15. So the Q is .. is it worth the $30 to upgrade from Vegas Pro Edit 15 to 16, particularly from an audio perspective? Is there enough in 16 to make one bite for $30 even? The one real annoying thing about Magix Vegas and Soundforge is this business of constant checking VSTs whenever you load the programs and not just checking new vsts, some times takes an age to load. Used to be a fix before via an INI file or some config file but that doesnt work anymore. Dont imagine thats fixed in 16?

  4. https://splashsound.org/retrowave.html 23 bucks for 12GBs worth of 80s goodness ( Kontakt)
  5. Interesting, those 2 versions only just came through to me now
  6. I subscribe to CM when ever the annual offers come about. Lately I am finding the filesilo.co.uk either slow OR not working here in Ireland anyway .. today
  7. Im not sure there is a VSTi version of the VM2500 ( the arp 2500 ). They do have the CA2600 as a VSTi which is the ARP 2600. The ARP 2600 back in the day was a scaled back, cheaper version of the ARP2500 thats the VM2500 is based on.
  8. Yip tried it and i got the demos inside my Voltage Modular @scook & @User 905133 Thanks for that, I should have thought of that. Opened my Voltage Modular and there was the VM2500 Module demos. I would be a modular novice, however would it be still ok to get this to initially just use the presets, I have to say I like the sound of many .. Im afraid I am a retro sound Tangerine Dream, Jarre etc type person
  9. Thanks ... BTW I have also tried the DEMO route for this at the site and not understanding the concept to get it. Anyone tried demo button on CA before?
  10. I have all the stand alone VSTs so far .. Is this a modular repeat for a few of these and if one has all the vsts does one need it I wonder?
  11. AHHHHHHH ... can .... I ... Resist Demo first i think ..
  12. That swung it for me Guys - €33 when converted

  14. Probably cheaper on ADSR as there its $44 + you get the Diginoiz TrapDrive distortion plug chucked into the deal: https://www.adsrsounds.com/product/software/gforce-software-virtual-string-machine-highly-powerful-string-machine/
  15. https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/5-Sampler/4345-Palindrome Here is a review - https://andrulianblog.wordpress.com/2018/04/30/review-of-palindrome-a-granular-morph-plotting-sampler-vst-au-by-glitchmachines/ Anyone got this? Is it in general worth a punt for sound design etc?
  16. @Bruno de Souza Lino Finding an audience is one thing, BUT finding an audience thats willing to pay for what they can get free elsewhere is the real biggy in my view
  17. K .. but I think all this is ON TOPIC actually. we are describing what its all about and from all we describe is where we sold product and built a fan base .. and TBH that is still the way it should be because it is the only way. The live circuit, the hard but enjoyable hours travelling and getting your band out there. There is no silver bullet, 5 min solution that DOESNT take effort, if you think otherwise then forget it, its not for you
  18. Yip though a good few out of town gigs we made 2 or 3 days of. A huge town for that was in WEST CORK, place called CLONAKILITY which was and still is Music Meca. Loads of international artists, bands inc Sting, Springsteen, many many others played local gigs there in pubs. Noel redding of hendrix's band lived there until he died in relatively recent times. EG - http://debarra.ie/about/
  19. Actually in most cases .. locally anyway here in Cork .. we were allowed to leave the gear at the venue once we packed it in a corner and then collected AFTER NOON the following day back to rehearsal room .. this freed us up to go clubbing after the gig with our fans .. And no, the stuff wasnt nicked ever, lots of respect back then
  20. And you know something @paulo ... THESE are the stories and times you remember and stay with you for life which is the exact point made in THE 1975 track I mentioned on page one: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2021/mar/18/why-bands-are-disappearing-young-people-arent-excited-by-them "The moment that we started a band was the best thing that ever happened,” sings Matty Healy on the 1975’s recent single Guys. The song is an ardent love letter to the band, and to the romance of bands in general: the camaraderie, the solidarity, the joyous fusion of creativity and friendship. It’s an old sentiment but an increasingly rare one. This is what it was all about .. playing the gigs, on the (local) road with like minded comrades, the craic, the buzz, meeting music fans .. Its what has been lost and what much of the disinterested youth of today are missing out on. Something that could last for a lifetime
