  1. After focusing the "Mains" in Console View, selecting or focusing tracks in Track View refuse to trigger/evoke the Inspector to display those tracks until a track name is double-clicked...
  2. Done. Another issue with current status is if I have an open project set to Sound on Sound and then open a new project, CbB sets both projects to the default Comp. If I don't catch this change and save the 1st project, I have to change it back manually after reopening it and recording in the wrong mode.
  3. Default is always Comping. Those who prefer one of the other methods are always having to change method for each project. Would be nice to set & forget preferred default in Preferences Globally so this step can be avoided.
  4. Any hope for the >Bypass FX Bin< bug? When bypassing an FX Bin, the indicator turns gray, but when reopening the project they are ON and active in: 1. Track View MIDI tracks 2. Console View Narrowed MIDI tracks. They are ON but inactive in: 1. Track View Synth tracks 2. Track View Audio tracks 3. Track View Busses.
  5. There are times when it is advantageous to select all controllers in a lane quickly. Click-dragging isn't always thorough and time can be wasted searching for the elusive "phantom" cc. It would be cool to select all CC data by shift+clicking the Edit Filter "G" (controller name box).
  6. Clicking the Name " - " button only hides the lane. As mentioned, CC's have to be physically deleted/removed for the lane to be also. 1. If there's data, there's lane. 2. No data = no lane. 3. You can create new lane w/o data, but saving & closing project w/o data will remove lane upon reopening. 4. Only ways I know to select CC data separate from notes in PRV is by click-dragging mouse. Ctrl+A does not work in CC lane. >>>FR: Select all CC data by Shift+clicking the Edit Filter "G" (controller name box).<<<

    "Main outs?"

Right, I usually have all group & FX busses feed the Master Bus, which I move to the far right of them so it's closest to the H/W Outs.
  8. I use Sound on Sound but find it awkward when slip-cropping a take, as it always slip-crops the rest of the takes. To affect only the selected take you hold shift while cropping. The technique should be reversed to use Shift when you want all clips cropped. Makes sense as Shift is used to make multiple selections in most other situations.

    "Main outs?"

So no one finds the default bus arrangement odd or confusing? Most hardware mixers have the Master Bus and/or Main Faders to the far right. Sonar/CbB puts the Main Outs to the far right but the Master Bus to the far left of the bus array. This never made sense to me and seems confusing when trying to visualize the signal path.

    Drum Map &PRV

In Track View is the MIDI track above or below the Synth track? I've read and confirmed that it needs to be below the Synth track for PRV to open the map full view.
  11. Only way I see to add an AUX track is thru an existing audio/instrument track dropdown button. Seems obscure and hindersome as I had to search documentation to learn this. Should be more obvious like in the Insert Menu or "+" Add Track button flyout.

    "Main outs?"

This is because you can route tracks to a master bus or directly to hardware outputs. Busses aren't required or even needed in a project. My interface has 2 stereo outputs as represented by 2 stereo master channels in CV. IF you are routing all your tracks and busses to a Master bus, it's output level (dB's) should be the same as the hardware output level when set to "0". Hardware output is basically an input gain knob for the interface, in my case, a mixer with it's own gain knob and fader which have no affect on the signal leaving CbB. The hardware channel "MASTER" label was probably removed to alleviate confusion when using a "Master" bus.

    "Main outs?"

To be precise, CbB's "Main Outs" control the output level from CbB going to your sound source but not the sound source itself, which usually has it's own controls. In olden days, the Console View Main Outputs were actually labeled "H/W OUTS" or "MASTER". Remnants of this can be found in the Theme Editor Console View > Modules > MSR of all places. Spoiler alert: Editing these graphics will do you no good.

    "Main outs?"

??? If not obvious, process of elimination. What are you're options?
  15. I use Alienware. Anyone use PCAudioLabs Rok Box? Out of OP's price range tho.
  16. Any pros or cons to these laptops? Like noise level? Except on occasion, my Alienware is near dead quiet. https://pcaudiolabs.com/rok-box-mobile-series/
  17. Can this be used w/o Battery?
  18. Guess I'm confused as I thought that was the OP's question & your initial reply. True for the Browser but the FX Bin right-click flyout ("insert menu") is fixed TMK.
  19. Thanks guys, but I'm confused about the link then. I see nothing there to determine bitness. VSTs are color coded in the Insert menu (32=green, 64=yellow) but DXs are always gray. The link did explain why some Sonitus plugs cause audio drops, tho.
  20. Do 64 bit Sonitus install with Cakewalk Core installer? ALL my Sonitus plugins are 32 bit even after running the Platinum installer for 64 bit. My Plugin Manager lists 2 sets of Sonitus: DX > Sonitus xxx C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Plugins\SonitusFXxxx.dll Loads in CbB with 2 single dots (32 bit stereo). VST > Sonitus:fx xxx c:\program files\cakewalk\32 bit plugins\dxshell.dll (path does not exist) Loads in CbB (dead) with 2 single dots (32 bit stereo).
  21. When a clip has AudioSnap ON with Clip Follows Project selected, it disables the ability to Slip Stretch that clip in Track View. Is this normal behavior?
