  1. This is not the Simeon you are looking for, move along 😎 #theforceisstrongwiththisone
  2. At first I thought, what a mono piano but then as you could hear in the video, it was an interesting surprise to hear the depth that was there. It also really came alive when it was passed through the "Room" which allowed it to have somewhat of a stereo field.
  3. I agree, the sound of the L-100 is just so full of character. I did have an issue when trying to use my D9- X drawbar controller as they were flipped. I am wondering if I can convince Per to flip them again ;^)
  4. Fluffy Audio offers some very wonderful libraries. https://www.fluffyaudio.com/ Here is a video I did last year for their Scoring Piano and My Piano:
  5. The guys from Sonic Atoms are at it again, this time with an amazing vocal texture library for HALion, HALionSonic, and the free HALionSonicSE player. Nebulace Vocal Textures Our first take on a human voice with creative and experimental twist. A beautiful female vocal textures, packed and prepared to be performed accompanied by organic pad sounds, which extend natural range of human voice. Zaria’s intimate voices will take you on an adventure to another galaxy. The most significant value of Zaria is it can add interest and motion to cinematic, ambient music or it can just sit on backseat and create harmonic ambience. $59 intro price. Look for a livestream soon 🤓 https://sonicatoms.com/zaria/
  6. @VSTBuzz is having a special that includes ALL of the expansions for $112.29 (norm. $373.15) (don't you love the exchange rates 🙄) http://bit.ly/VSTBuzz_PureSynth_Platinum_Bundle. I purchased Pure Synth Platinum a while ago as it is a really great instrument to take on the road as it is fairly kind regarding using resources. Thanks to Gospel Musicians and VSTBuzz for unlocking the other expansions so that I can share the experience with you. I hope to see you this afternoon: My link is a VSTBuzz affiliate , providing a small commission to help support the channel. I did however purchase and use Pure Synth myself, Gospel Musicians have unlocked the expansions so that I can share the full package with all of you.
  7. So check out what John did today with Mrs. Mills during his livestream today, it is really something. Check it out starting around the 29:15 mark. He released a free Unified Mrs. Mills Library.
  8. You would have been proud of me as I was hashing out some stride piano today, man my left hand was really protesting 🤣 It is interesting in diving into some of these, that they are complex in their simplicity and shows the brilliance that was inherent in the arrangements and production. Also I was thinking of Billy Preston and if he might have used that piano back in the day as it did remind me of Nothin from Nothin.
  9. Yes, my wife and I were discussing this yesterday imagining the Paul who sang it for the first time imagining hold so far out 64 was and now a 78 year old Paul thinking, man time sure does have a way of flying by.
  10. Yes, that sounds reasonable. I think my excitement at times causes my brain to have a logjam at times where you have so many things flooding through that it is sometimes hard to just breathe. One thing that I need to start doing is just put a bunch of these on a notepad to reference so that I can look at the list and not have to think too much about it. I never thought of When I'm 64, that would have been fun. So keep your eyes and ears open. Thanks so much for the suggestion. All the best, Simeon
  11. Hey guys, Well I just finished the Mrs. Mills Piano livestream and around 3:00 PM EST I am going live with QUADRA, should be fun. Join me here:
  12. That was a lot of fun. It was interesting to go outside of what you would normally expect from a piano of this type. There are some interesting potential still locked inside of this histprical piano. I hope you can check out the replay.
  13. Unfortunately, I do not have the Cinesamples Mrs. Mills library. That would be an interesting comparison for sure,
  14. So I remember when Cinesamples had a Mrs. Mills Piano for Kontakt but a while back their agreement with Abbey Road ended, so they had to discontinue that library. Today, Spitfire Audio has released their own Mrs. Mills Pianos as one of their $29 Orig!nals series. I cant wait to try it out and of course I will try and do a live first look and playthrough as soon As I can. Until then you can read all about it here on my site: https://wp.me/p6Mqqs-As Here is the trailer:
  15. The idea is to load several instances of UVI Workstation into UNIFY and divide the resources by using the UNIFY Keyzones. An experiment I did for the Austrian Grand was use three UVI workstations and created three zones, it really worked well. You just have to make sure that the patches are identical to stay consistent. You then could save this into your UNIFY User library to get back to it quickly. In the case of Quadra you could load the same patch and just disable one of the instrument cores. You could then use the LINKED Parameters in UNIFY to join the XY zone mixer so it would control all of your UVI Workstation instances at the same time. Lots of possibilities!
  16. Yes, this seems to be the case. One of the issues with the UVI Workstation and Falcon is that they are SINGLE Threaded virtual instruments, meaning that they rely on using a single CPU core to handle all of the processing. What I am seeing on average is that most sit around 15% (sometimes rising to 20%) CPU usage depending on the complexity of the patch and how many voices are being used. I was able to get it to go over 90% ;^) I am working out a proof of concept using UNIFY (of course) that may help to mitigate this somewhat, so we will see. More to come.
  17. My Quantum serial number came today, so I can’t wait to get this installed and try it out. Stay tuned 📺
  18. I am a big fan of Gospel Musicians; Jamal is a great musician, teacher, and yes even a developer. I purchased his Pure Synth about a year ago to run on my MacBook live rig and it is a very high performing rompler of sorts that packs the best of vintage keyboards and classic synths. This bundle gives you all of the expansion modules (which Gospel Musicians unlocked for me for the review). I plan on doing a live stream soon to run through it. Here are some more details. https://vstbuzz.com/deals/70-off-pure-synth-platinum-bundle-by-gospel-musicians/?ref=100 (This is an affiliate link that helps support my review efforts)
  19. You beat me to it!!!! 🤣 This should be an interesting instrument as I think it is the first UVI library using the 4 zone approach we have come to be so familiar with in some Kontakt libraries. I look forward to getting a try at this hopefully soon.
  20. Thanks for sharing this, downloading it now. It reminds us that we are still dealing with this crazy situation and it is good to support each other.
  21. This would be especially useful in sample library development, to have noise reduction and similar tools available at the front end, possibly even integrated into Kontakt. Interesting,
  22. My first "real" audio interface was the Echo GINA. I was so sorry to hear that they went out of making interfaces a few years ago. I also had a killer firewire interface I used for my MacBook but the driver support disappeared and so did the interface. Glad to hear your Layla is still going strong.
