  1. Crispy Tuner is owned by Brainworx now. You go to Plug Alliance and click menu. Click on join. It is free.
  2. Plugin Alliance is a conglomerate of plugin developers of which Brainworx, Izotope and others belong. Search for PA and join and they will send notifications on great sales prices on great quality plugins!
  3. I got a Summer Of Sound June code for Plugin Alliance June 1st! I picked up CrispyTuner for $14! It is very similar to V-vocal but on steroids! I highly recommend you check it out!
  4. Just think how fixing that one feature could blow the door open to so many users. Reading notation is becoming a lost talent in itself. I totally understand the task in fixing it! Your response does give me a glimmer of hope and for that I thank you 😊
  5. Just picked up Magix Movie Edit Pro 2021 on sale for $10. I don't think the sale is still on but is well worth dropping a dime on!
  6. Their explanation was that the code was embedded so deep that they would virtually have to rewrite Cakewalk, known as Sonar Platinum at the time, from scratch! I started a thread on the original Sonar forum that amazingly reached more than 35 pages of some positivity but mostly serious disagreement on how to get staff view fixed!! That was several years ago and we are still no better off. NOTION was being sold at the time and Presonus ended up incorporating it into Studio One! I felt that Sonar or Cake would have benefited greatly from doing that! I had Notion 3 at the time and I learned how to ReWire Sonar and Notion together! It was quite wonky sometimes but did work! Anyway, as someone who uses staff view quite a bit, I feel your pain.
  7. Staff view is not by any means a full feature notation program. It is infamous for being kind of a bare bones feature as far back as the beginning of Twelve Tones! I have been a vocal supporter of Cakewalk for longer than I like to admit. Staff view has been the weak spot of this great DAW. It was explained to me by Cakewalk support many years ago that it was virtually impossible to fix staff view because the DAW had progressed far ahead of the code involved to update staff view! I still hope that someday someone will find a way to fix it!
  8. I have Soundpaint and it is nice but very CPU hungry it seems. I tried Decent when it first came out and it didn't check all the boxes of features I need to construct an instrument with key switches and multiple layer velocities from scratch. I'll take another look and maybe it has been developed enough. As I said, right now, I'm more than happy with TW. I thank you for your advice and time.
  9. Downloaded, installed, and tested. Latency issues, sticking notes, uninstalled!! I was interested in this because I have been looking for an alternative besides TW16x for building my own sample libraries. Sorry! I am very happy with TW16x and will stick with it for now. I hope they continue work on Freetakt as it looks to be a winner.
  10. I'm having a brain fart!! Where is the IKM download folder? I use to back it up but have neglected to do so for a while.
  11. I appreciate greatly your help! I uninstalled and reinstalled from scratch and now all is good!!! Thanks again for your patience and time!
  12. If you check above you will see that I have followed the instructions on that post and still have no region fx in Cake!
  13. I have a license. It seems strange that the standalone works so it detects the license, yet Cake doesn't see Melodyne evidently or it would show up in region fx.
  14. File is there. Did the scan as described in the post! No luck! Still no region fx Melodyne!
  15. No Region FX in Cakewalk! Standalone is working fine! I tried reinstall still no region fx in Cake!
  16. The standalone works on the laptop but doesn't exist as a Region FX in Cake!
  17. What is the best way to reinstall Melodyne? It works fine on my desktop computer but it doesn't even show up in Cakewalk and crashes in Sonar Platinum on my laptop!
  18. The "Proximity" knob is very cool. The ability to mimic how close the vocal sounds to the mic is great for fattening a vocal that is just too thin has saved me the time of retracking many times!
  19. I never was much of a Mesa fan as far as the small combo 1x12 amps! The combos always sounded restrained. Things got better when the multi speaker cabs came along.
  20. Simple!! Brainworx Focusrite Channel Strip or SSL G Channel Strip, depending on song style. That's it! Has made my job a whole lot quicker and sounds fantastic!
  21. Whar??? No upgrade path from GK2?? 2 still finds its way into a project or two!!
