  1. BTW, was the limit for attaching images recently reduced? The last few times I've tried to upload a screenshot I received a pop-up error message saying "You are only allowed to upload 40.96kB."
  2. Here's a potential solution: Do a 'repair' on either the Piano/Core/Discover and it will install the version 1.7 plugin. Yo can read about it here.
  3. Just an FYI based on this thread at VI-Control: the latest update may cause the plugin and preset/sample files to become 'out-of-sync'. The link I provided starts at page 32 where the discussion about the issue seems to start (I didn't read all 30+ pages). I thought I'd post the info here to save folks time if they encounter this issue. I'm going to wait to update to be safe.
  4. Thank you! I bookmarked the site for future use.
  5. I just noticed that on this NI webpage, Stratus has a new GUI. I'd like to update my version (which has the old GUI), but neither Native Access nor iZotope's updater includes Stratus (or Symphony) as a product. Originally this reverb was an Exponential Audio product, but then it became part of iZotope, and now they're part of NI! So, who's responsible for it? And specifically, does anyone know what to use to perform this update? The recent consolidation is making updating even more frustrating and time-consuming.

  7. No, not if you just want to demo them. If that's the case you can download the demo versions of the Synthesizer V Editor and (some of) the voice libraries. You will, however, have to buy both if you want to use all the advance features, like scripting. IIRC there's a comparison between the demo and full versions of the editor on the Dreamtronics website.
  8. I'm not sure which sale you're referring to, but my favorite female voice, by far, is Solaria. She's very versatile and sounds great with little or no tweaking. None of the male voices I have (Asterian, Jun, Ninezero) are good enough to be 'favorites' yet.
  9. I too have ver 6.4.0 installed. Strange.
  10. The full version 1.9.0 is now available. I also have a few vocal library updates (Mai, Natalie, Ninezero, Ritchy), but they may have been available previously.
  11. Well, at least they're making progress; albeit at a glacial pace.
  12. Does "Zoom Scaling" mean I can now use my mouse wheel to increase the GUI to any arbitray size?
  13. Thanks again, Brian. I was thinking of picking-up Bitwig now that it's on sale to improve my song-creation workflow compared to what's possible in Cubase. I tend to start by coming up with sections in no particular order at the beginning of the process and then placing them on the timeline later. Although that's possible in Cubase, even with the Arranger functionality it's rather crude and requires lots of editing which stifles the creative process. Yes, that does look promising. I think I'll just try the Bitwig demo and see what it can do rather than buy it and be disappointed. Cheers!
  14. Thanks for replying. As a follow-up, if I have pickup notes (before the bar) at all three places circled in red below, would they all play? I'm asking b/c I'm not sure if there's just one "window" that spans the entire Scene length, or there are multiple smaller windows around each of the clips within the Scene.
  15. Just curious, how does Bitwig's Clip Launcher (below) handle note events that are not strictly snapped to the time grid? In particular, what will happen if you have, say, pick-up notes in your MIDI data or slightly early notes (or part of a note) in your audio data? Will the Clip Launcher play them at their correct times, or will those events be truncated?
  16. Personally, I'm very happy to stick with the free Cube Mini. I only use it occasionaly and so would rather deploy the money saved from upgrading to something that I really want/need. The fact that you're asking makes me think you may not really need or want the upgrade and, instead, may only be considering it b/c it's a bargin. In the past I've found I'm seldom happy when I but something merely b/c it's on sale. YMMV. Cheers...

  18. Hmm. I was foolish for thinking that the verbiage "Get any PA plugin for only $29.99" in the ad below meant that I could get any PA plugin for only $29.99.
  19. My plan is to stack the $29 NI-PA voucher with a $20 no-limit PA voucher to pick-up something like The Oven for only $9. Assuming that's possible, I don't think I can achieve that with typical PA vouchers alone.
  20. Do the $29 NI-PA vouchers have expiration dates? I'd like to hold mine -- when they actually arrive -- until the next $20 no-minimum-spend PA vouchers are sent out so as to stack them.
  21. My thoughts exactly. It's definitely not an instant gratification VI. Thank you. I discovered that option after posting. It makes trying different patches bearable.
  22. Is there a quick way to switch to the next patch (like via a dedicated button)?
  23. Mine just showed up in Native Access. But it wasn't worth the wait. 😞
