I just removed my 16x08 from service. The latest Win10 version (1809) blew up the driver and my Internet speed (hard to figure that one!). I pulled my old PreSonus AudioBox 44VSL out of the closet (where it went after the first Win10 release killed the VSL driver), installed the latest UC driver (no VSL support), crossed my fingers and rebooted. Everything worked great. Nice to have an audio interface back. At least the 16x08 can be used as a simple 8 mic preamp box when no USB connection is present. Unless or until Tascam update the 16x08 driver, my guess is that your struggles will continue. Sorry for the bad news.

+1 The remaining free VIs in this family currently are: Amplified Cello Quartet, Charango, Choir, Drums, Electric Piano, Frozen Strings, Soft Piano, Strings and Synth Pads. You access them via the LABS VST. The UIs are all the same: 2 slides and 1 rotary knob. The parameters they control vary from VI to VI. Kontakt NOT required. LABS is the host. Nice! I think it's terrific of Spitfire to package existing samples with additional new processing into these little freebies. First rate!

Just wondering what you think of the Pearl Default kit in the SD3 Core library. Probably doesn't fit your style of music, but it works great for me.

Really like this synth. Really don't like this synth's update process.

Since all these updates do is update the installer to better use system standard folders (like \Program Files\Common\VST3), I'm passing them up.
