  1. I recently received my crowdfunding copy Gigspanner Big Band's album "Natural Invention" Led by ex Steeleye Span fiddler Peter Knight a veritable English folk supergroup.
  2. I see there is a SFZ file in the folder, so this will probably work on other players than Kontakt. I have not tried it.
  3. Only NKS compatable libraries will appear in the Komplete Kontrol main browser. Not all Kontakt Player libraries are NKS compatable. You can create your own maps in the user tab. Check the Native Instruments forum, there were some useful tips there. Not sure about your other problems, but check midi channels are correct.
  4. Great idea. But John Spires says it has been flagged by Youtube for copyright even though all the tunes are traditional.
  5. If you are on the fence about upgrading you can demo any of the new synths without too may restrictions. I have been playing with the CZ and find I like it a lot more than I thought I would.
  6. If you are lucky - I have several dead pieces of hardware. I am intending to try to resurrect my Korg Poly800 at some point as I believe the issue is a bad backup battery that was never designed to be replaced so it will need some soldering on the circuit board, not my strong point! I also have a Yamaha DX 100 that is dead, possibly a similar issue and a Roland XP-10 with a bad LCD that's not economically repairable. I do regret parting with my SH101 many years ago, I bet that would still work! One misses the tactile element of hardware but I am generally happy with software, particularly due to space considerations.
  7. All round good operation as far as I can see, particularly for new and independent artists. Downloads are available in a number of formats, not just crappy low bitrate MP3s. I usually download 320mps MP3 for the phone and WAV for playing on the computer. They also offer an avenue for artists to sell physical CD and DVD and other merchandise.
  8. Are you using the MIDI to drive a different drum VSTi? There is a possibility drums in a pattern may be using alternative articulations mapped to different keys and not supported by the other VSTi. Edit_ you last post came through while I was typing so my idea now seems unlikley.
  9. I posted this in The Coffee House but as its a deal of sorts I thought I would put a link here.
  10. I have always thought Bandcamp were the good guys in the digital music market and now they have this initiative to help musicians that use their platform. To raise even more awareness around the pandemic’s impact on musicians everywhere, we’re waiving our revenue share on sales this Friday, March 20 (from midnight to midnight Pacific Time), and rallying the Bandcamp community to put much needed money directly into artists’ pockets Full details here https://daily.bandcamp.com/features/bandcamp-covid-19-fundraiser Obviously many people have their own financial worries at this time but if you are in the position to do it Friday 20th March would be a good day to treat yourself to some new music and help the artist. And if you have any content for sale on there it may be worth doing a bit of promotion. If you are unaware of their policies check the out here - They are defiantly not Spotify https://bandcamp.com/fair_trade_music_policy
  11. Its certainty worth picking this up if you have any intrest in synths past pre-set tweaking. It can also be used as an effect. There is an ever growing range of modules if you get into it and prices for the add ons don't break the bank.
  12. For a moment I thought maybe I should get this, then I came to my senses.
  13. The upgrade from 5 to 6 only required you to install the new synths leaving the others alone. This appears to be the same for the current upgrade. Issues occured when they made new versions of the existing synths. One thing I like about Arturia is they make all the maintainance releases available if you have not upgraded. The reason to upgrade from 5 or 6 at the moment is just the new synths.
  14. Looks like the 99 euro price includes VAT, an extra 20% would have been a absolute deal breaker, but I am still undecided at this price. Having 'trons a plenty I think tis one will be superfluous. I have a XILS4 but the Arturia one is a little different and I liked it when I demoed it a while back. Maybe I will demo the CZ later.
  15. A wonder if there will be any deals on the upgrade from version 6?
  16. No, just external backup drives. I suspect the power only port on the hub is not isolated probably from the data side and the computer is trying to communicate with the phone. I will keep a phone charger in the studio in future just incase I need it.
  17. Last night I was trying to use Cakewalk but it was very slow and unresponsive to mouse commands. I shut it down an rebooted the computer, the problem persisted. So what's changed? I had plugged my phone into what is supposed to be a charge only port on my powered USB hub. I disconnected the phone and all was well. The issue may be specific to the particular hub, but it's one to watch out for.
  18. I really like the Post Rock EZX. I had not intended to buy any more EZX and if I got more Toontrack drums buy SDX but this one has a really good an unique sound.
  19. The spoken parts are by Elton John. Something else that's upset the hard core "prog" snobs.
  20. Working for me now thanks.
  21. This track has stirred up a storm on social media because its not what people think Steven Wilson should sound like. Its very different but I like it.
  22. Thanks Peter, I dont have ST4, only ST4 CS, my post was unclear. Anyway I will wait and see what support says.
