  1. Yeah, I definitely can't wait that long, I'll fire on release day regardless of the pricing.
  2. I've demo'd this for the full time limit twice now, both times haven't pulled the trigger, not blown away by it over all, some stuff sounds good, don't think it sounds better than what I've currently got. Last time I demo'd I remember telling myself, no, that's it no need to try it or think about it again. Don't know what it is, the sound, the GUI, the Price, or all of the above. Maybe I should put myself out of my misery and just do it, but the price is pretty steep, especially for something I may not end up using. Would cost me around $403AU now at current exchange rate, I think I'll pass again, if it ever gets 50% of I'll fire without thinking and let the chips fall where they may. Maybe it's just GAS, this is pretty much the only Amp Sim I am aware of that I don't or haven't owned.
  3. Me to, (even though I'm only likely to get a few months use out of it) As to the price, I'll bet on $149.99
  4. Sorry to hear, I had noticed your absence, and checked every now and then by hovering over your name, and the Last Visited date never changed. At least you came through it and are on the road out. If I may ask, have they given you a good prognosis? and did you have any knowledge that something like this was possible or did it happen just out of nowhere? All the best to you, and may you make a full recovery.
  5. And I believe the date at the end morphs in and out between the date and Studio One.
  6. If I had to pick one, I'd choose the Amplitube Orange, more choice with more amps, and imo, more 'amp like' sound characteristics. That's not to say the PA doesn't sound good or anything, it does, but not necessarily as 'amp like' as Amplitube.
  7. @Mark B My reply above is now incorrect, I am happy to report that there is now a PA Amp Sim which I would recommend for people to check out. Just released maybe an hour or so ago the BX Rockergain 100, give it a whirl, may or may not be for you. Intro price $69.99US. https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/products/bx_rockergain100.html
  8. BX Rockergain 100 - $119.99 - $149 [Edit]The Email just came in, even better "Your Intro Price – $69.99* with voucher code:" This must have been just released, didn't here anything about it yet. As usual I downloaded the demo, and as usual for PA Amp Sims I expected the same thing as usual, vomit inducing Recording Chains (Cab IR's) and just sounding generally pretty bad. Well I was wrong on both, the Recording Chains (Cab IR's) were actually useable for a change, and the sound was bad, but bad in a good way, this thing sounds great. Arguably sounds better with quality 3rd party IR's, and that's how I will use it, but surprisingly usable with the stock Recording Chains (Cab IR's) for me that is a first with PA (Maybe Lars isn't in charge of that department anymore😁). Well done PA, and well done Mr Nembrini. Insta buy for me, and just got a $50 Loyalty voucher 🀠 https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/products/bx_rockergain100.html
  9. Just a little correction, that "and 1 not so" is completely wrong, after more usage and experimentation, it to is excellent (just turn off the cab and use quality 3rd party IR), they done an awesome job with these 3 amps.
  10. And indeed it has changed. All 3 amps are excellent imo. Well DoneπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  11. This one is 17KB smaller than the last, what more do you want πŸ˜‡
  12. Next Tuesday, Damn, I'll be having my blood sucked out, or with the time difference maybe not
  13. If you ditch the cabs and use quality 3rd party cabs for the most part, turn off any FX, work your chosen amp, you can make any of the PG stuff, BIAS Amp 1/2 BIAS FX1/2 sound awesome if you know what you are doing and choose your amps . The company sucks shit through a straw, and the products do have some issues, but nothing that makes them unusable by any means. imo, ymmv et etc
  14. Not true at all, I have said that all Amp Sims sound like crap Stand Alone, which to me they do, put them inside a DAW and add stuff before/after etc, different story. Because of how good they can sound, and the convenience of itb, I am quite happy to leave my amps and cabs etc in storage, but if I had to use an amp sim as is, on it's own, no thanks.
  15. None of the PA Amp Sims, but if you must the Chandler is the only 1 worth your time, but it is very limited. If I were to give my personal opinion, I would say go Softube, Kuassa, Amplitube, BIAS, but whatever you try, ditch the cabs and get some decent 3rd party cab IR's, like Ownhammer or RedWirez, some may say Celestion, I wouldn't, to me they sound less than others, boxy or something, but you may like them who knows. Don't stick to presets, select the amp you want and work it, save a default of your own, branch out from there when required. One good thing to do is play for a while in one amp sim, then quickly change to another, let your ears do the choosing. I can play using the Nembrini Marshall, Nueral DSP amp change to a Softube Marshall and strait away here the difference, and for me it's Softube every time by a good margin. reverse the order and try again. For me it really shows, you can get used to something and think it's good, quickly switching to something else can be really telling, if what you switched to is either worse or better, it will be obvious. You can get used to anything and think it's good, so best to try everything and keep yourself on your toes. The new Joe Satriani expansion for Amplitube contains 2 amps that sound amazing (and 1 not so), I could just use those 2 and be happy and get everything I want, same with the Softube amps. Main thing is try things out yourself, demo demo demo, don't listen to much to what anyone says, your likes and dislikes and wants will likely be different. imo, ymmv et etc
  16. and here is this from the comments section on the purchase page for what it's worth.
  17. Pre Ordered it back in 22nd January πŸ˜‡ I bet Peter is breathing a sigh of relief 😁 The Satch VM amp is pretty awesome, I ditched the cabs and went 3rd party, if it wasn't 1.40AM I'd keep on going. Started on the SJ50, I think it will be pretty awesome from early impressions, same, ditched the cabs. Don't much care for the Boston 100, unsure whether that will change in time. Time for sleep, tomorrow will hammer it, but that VM is sweet.
  18. Download the new Amplitube from your account.
  19. You likely don't have enough neurons to understand itπŸ˜‰
  20. Scratch that, you do need your real Email address, reading the oh so friendly licensing/activation system, after the umpteenth step you see you do need a real Email. I'll still pass though, it's just way above my neuron count 😁 [Edit] I see you removed your comment about me not having enough neurons to understand your installation routine 🀣 I must admit its a doozy 😁
  21. Well that was fun, after all that it doesn't run, just wouldn't show up in Studio One, in REAPER it threw up some error on startup scan, then wouldn't show up, can't uninstall it, so just looking for what I can find to delete. If anyone is interested, none of the info you have to fill in to get the demo has to be true, they don't send a link or anything to the email address you enter. As for me I'll PASS
  22. That sounds right to me. Just be ready to go when they get their new licenses, they said 'limited new stock' so they may sell out quick, but what 'quick' and Limited' will be is anyone's guess. I'm going in for another one, in hind sight I should have got it when I got the other one.
