  1. Other upgrade options based on prior purchases of other KV331 products are also available from KV331 and probably other third-party vendors. If interested in crossgrading/upgrading, check your favorite vendors for rewards/perks
  2. If you have the player, there's an upgrade at audiodeluxe to update to the Everything Bundle. Not sure if this is an exclusive, if It seems others have similar or greater discounts, etc. https://www.audiodeluxe.com/products/virtual-instruments/kv331-audio-synthmaster-everything-bundle-upgrade-synthmaster-player Upgrade for owners of SynthMaster Player. Use code HOLIDAY22 and get up to 15% extra off. Countdown timer says good for 13 more days. So you have time to decide if this upgrade for you. Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with audiodeluxe or KV331, I have no path to gain any income or perks from anyone clicking on the link above and/or getting the upgrade. I do have the Everything Bundle, think highly of it, and paid more for my combined purchases of the various Synthmaster products that led me to get the Everything Bundle. Other upgrade options based on prior purchases of other KV331 products are also available from KV331 and third-party vendors. If interested in crossgrading/upgrading, check your favorite vendors for rewards/perks
  3. Are you saying both the strip and the numbering as shown in the guide are wrong? I just looked at some FX chains in my Browser and they look like the icon pictured in slot 1.
  4. Thanks to all for the informative details and personal reflections. I have concluded it is a good deal, but based on other priorities I will not be upgrading this year. As some may know, I have been increasingly integrating Voltage Modular into my CbB-based workflow. So, I booted VM and dusted off "MIDI IO Tester - 003 Analog Lab V.voltagepreset." It reminded me what I especially liked about Analog Lab V--the instruments and the presets sound super nice and VM's control gives me tremendous potential for manipulating my 3200+ presets. And in the process I discovered the free JSPA pack. Again, thanks for the discussion.
  5. Sorry, but its takes a few seconds to look at the page instead of guessing In case it helps clarify the product, ^^^^^ here are some details from the listing.
  6. Anyone want to set up a poll? What percent of your virtual gear do you actually use (as oppose to letting it collect virtual dust)? 90 - 100% 80 - 89% 70 - 79% 60 - 69% 50 - 59% 40 - 49% 30 - 39% 20 - 29% 10 - 19% 5 - 9% 4% 3% 2% 1% less that 1/20th of a %
  7. Interesting that you are being offered the V9 Collection for €149. In addition to the Easel and Augmented Strings, I have Analog Lab V (upgraded from Intro) plus an upgrade to the additional Analog Lab presets bundle. (I think that added 2,000 to what I had making my total just over 3200.) I am wondering if Pigments knocked your price down. Yeah--the Zebra 2 Dino-Deal looked really good. I even printed out the "Replaced by . . . " card, got out one of my kids' dinosaurs, and found some gear to replace! On the Arturia site the "Buy for _____" page lists the 14 selected packs (832 presets). The demos sound like they are geared towards Techno / Trance / EDM / Urban / Cinematic Producers. As for the two Piano selected packs included, my Meldway Grand seems to be flexible enough to create all sorts of Pianos with very little effort. I also found it cool when I first got it and enjoyed combining different sample and synth layers and playing with CV modulations via Voltage Modular. Maybe I should wipe the dust off Augmented Strings and see if it helps inspire the kind of productivity I have had more recently from playing with some non-Arturia instruments. Just listened to the demos for the 14 selected packs again. They are nice, for sure, but not sure I would use them. Thanks to everyone for chiming in with thoughts and details on this deal.
  8. Not my favorite Paul Simon song by a long shot, but +1,000 for connecting it with avalanche!!!!!!!
  9. I am not familiar with Arturia's sales strategies. Roughly a month ago, I had the option to get one of the Arturia Collection Compendium bundles for $269. At the time I understood that to include (1) an upgrade to all V9 Collection Instruments plus (2) 10 sound packs valued at $5 to $15 each (approx. $100). Currently, my upgrade price just for the V9 Collection Instruments is $199. Just wondering if the Compendium bundles were a better deal or if I am missing something with the comparison. (I am still leaning towards upgrading to a new SSD instead of investing in more plug-ins/instruments.)
  10. "Yesterday all my troubles seemed so far away." I remember this. "Now I long for yesterday." I remember enough yesterdays to long for some of them. "Yesterday love was such an easy game to play." I remember times when it was easy and times when it wasn't. 😉
  11. For those who aren't old enough to remember this album, here's the Wikipedia article.
  12. Does the dino-discount coupon allow holders to get the full version (which is upgradable) at nearly the same price as the 15 Nov Legacy version (which doesn't have an upgrade path other than buying the new one as a new purchase when it comes out)?
  13. No, thank you. But thanks for the offer. 😜
  14. From a certain perspective, Sam is a square, too. And so is Cate.
  15. So far as I have seen, they just updated the prices of the older plug-ins. UPDATE: I just looked at a few of the older AIR products at Plug-in Boutique. I do not see anything that says they have been updated. And, since the ratings are based on considerably lower prices some of their ratings are IMO grossly inaccurate. For example: [Image of "Value for Money" rating removed to reclaim the attachment space.] Unfortunately, they do not allow purchasers to change ratings as I found out when I wanted to upgrade a rating on a product because it had been greatly improved with a free-for-life update since the time I got it from Plug-in Boutique.
  16. For those who may wonder about interconnectivity between Voltage Modular and Cakewalk (not sure if it works in other DAWs since I don't have regularly use others): As commented elsewhere in the forum, instances of Voltage Modular can be inserted in CbB. One possible use is for essentially an FX rack. Another is for CV --> MIDI processing of exposed parameters for soft synths hosted in Cakewalk. YMMV depending on your creativity, experimentalism, and personal workflow. Using VM as an FX rack is straight forward; using VM's Super LFO (or an Envelope Generator/VCA pair) to automate BPM-based changes to hosted soft synth parameters such as filter (cutoff, resonance, drive, contour) takes a little more planning.
  17. It depends on your needs. They have a demo. JMO: Don't get the 14-day trial and then forget about it until after the exclusive deal is over!!! UPDATE: Re: Demo (14 days v. 7 days): See BTP post and link (immediately below). I just copied the 14-day blurb from PA's site since it was right next to the Rackmode video. Since I am not a PA member, I defer to those of you who are.
  18. Sorry about the confusion. I got the e-mail yesterday but I shut my PC down before midnight and it wasn't posted at the PA site. But I wanted to give others a heads up. Based on the countdown clock, it started approx. 3 hours ago. Not sure what the price to PA members is. JMO: If you can get it for $13 that's a a super deal. $39 is just a plain old deal. I don't have a PA account, so its showing $99.99 to me. Check your e-mails!!
  19. 2 Days Only! Rackmode Plugin Alliance Exclusive
  20. Where is this phrase used and defined? Update: I just googled "IK Amplitube Locker. In one of the page 1 "hits," it says "All available gear from the AmpliTube locker can be seen below." I went directly to the page and did Ctrl+F to find "locker" but it wasn't on the page. Using Ctrl+F I looked for "Amplitube" and looked at all 39 instance of the word. Not one of those instances had any word near it related to "All available gear," "gear," "locker," etc. If I hadn't known to look up "locker," I never would have seen that phase. That phrase does not appear on the page Google allegedly found it. Update # 2: I looked at the source code: I hope IK's website team (whether its in-house or out-sourced) can fix this and any other problems of a similar nature. Update # 3: I finally found where the phrase in question is embedded in the page, but it took a while. IK might know what that means and where it is, but customers might have never seen that page and/or that statement and might have no idea what "the Amplitube locker" means. Feel free to relay my thoughts, too. It took a while to figure out the root of the confusion. I'd like the time I spent put to good use, meaning: please help facilitate IK's taking ownership for the confusion problem.
  21. TIPS: I usually download important images before deleting them. Even if I have the original, its usually easier to find the downloaded one. Also, if I have posted a graphic in a post that several people have liked/found useful, I tend to leave it--unless CbB has changed and it is out-of-date. Sometimes I will reduce the size and re-upload the smaller version for images that others users seem to have found useful. You probably know this, but maybe not: Deleting an image from the text potion of a post does not delete it from your allotment. You need to use the trash can icon below the post (in the attachments section).
