  1. You can also ask for help by submitting a support request at Support@cakewalk.com
  2. Yes, It is a problem with midi input and midi output. Make sure that the midi tracks really are outputting to two different instances of Komplete Kontrol. Make sure that the two instances of the plugin are using different midi channels or that the midi input is not set to omni or none. Check that Komplete Control is not set to output midi. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Beginners.06.html
  3. For #2 please read this page in the documentation. You can "override" a group temporarily by holding down "ctrl" https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Mixing.42.html
  4. I would suggest starting in the "Tutorials" Sub forum, as well as the manual https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/35-tutorials/
  5. Not in Cakewalk, A chord track has been requested but does not yet exist.
  6. From my understanding all the EZX and SDX come with midi packs as part of the instrument. When they release a midi pack with a similar name as the EZX it has new midi files in it
  7. First off, This is probably not the correct forum section to post a question, this is the tutorials section. However, You may need to clarify some things. When you play the project do any of the meters move showing audio is flowing through the system? Are you getting a warning of some kind? IF the meters are moving then you have audio in your project it just isn't getting out to your audio interface. Please include the following: Audio interface being used Driver Mode Screenshot of your audio preferences
  8. When you use your bluetooth headphones it probably changed the default audio device in windows. If using a windows driver mode (WASAPI) you have to make sure that the sample rate is the same for windows and cakewalk.
  9. The new Helix driver, can't remember the version #, has a bug with Cakewalk. You have to uninstall it and use the previous older version. If this doesn't fix your problem then you might have a different issue.
  10. In short, yes, you can take snapshots of any automatable parameters. You would need to add an automation lane for each parameter. The bigger question I have is why are they changing? Are you changing them or are they controlled by the patch itself, VCOs or envelope?
  11. I have seen this before, not necessarily with Neutron, but some plugins use not only CPU cycles but also Graphics that can slow the display update rate of Cakewalk down. Is it slow only when the Neutron UI is up?
  12. I understand what your confusion is but think I know what is going on. When you play back the track do you hear the "muted" audio? The parent track, for audio at least, isn't just a sum of all the take lanes. It only has what you promoted to it. if you "swipe" across the bottom part of your 2nd take I bet the parent track will not show the muted audio. The parent track probably has a combination of both take lanes in it, did you record on "sound on sound" mode?, and then you muted part of the 1st take, This doesn't update the parent track because it only represents the takes that you promote. Swipe across the 2nd take and you should see the parent track represent what is in the 2nd take lane. As your noticing, for midi tracks, this behavior might be different.
  13. Tried it, It said it was only valid for the first 2500 customers?
  14. I am pretty sure you can have multiple articulations but they have to not be dependent. When you create the articulation maps you specify which ones are exclusive and which ones can be independent by creating different group,. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=EditingMIDI.51.html
  15. Are you sure in your midi example that the clip showing in the track is actually not selected for the track? What I mean is that when you are comping you don't actually mute notes or audio you promote the piece of the take lane you want to be in your track by swiping, with the smart tool, in the bottom part of the take lane you want. it will then split the take into a clip where you did the swipe and promote that part of that take to the track and disable all other takes in that time range. They appear different but are not really muted, just not going to play in the current track. If you just mute audio and midi notes then the takes that are active then they are still part of the track just individually muted. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Arranging.57.html
  16. Send in the project to Cakewalk support (Support@cakewalk.com) and maybe they can figure out why it would do that?
  17. Cakewalk often will record the issue in a crashdump file. Usually it is a plug-in. Would be useful for you to post your audio interface, driver mode etc. Follow the instructions below and/or contact Support@cakewalk.com
  18. I would have to look at it again, not at my DAW, right now, but they way I do cymbal "chokes" or mutes is to have the cymbal play and then play the cymbal choke or mute articulation anytime during decay of the cymbal. It plays a sample that is the drummer grabbing the cymbal to mute it.
  19. I was hoping they would do these. I have demoed them and they do sound good out of the box. I have lots of amp sims so was not ready to jump unless they got to this level.
  20. There is also a mute articulation that you can apply that will silence a ringing cymbal and mute it like someone grabbing it.
  21. For #1 I don't know of a way to copy markers from one Project to another Project. Maybe with a project template you could save the markers and then start a new project? For #2, You can copy automation from one track to another so if you did your fades with automation you could copy that from one track to another. I don't know of any way to copy the fade points from one clip to another.
  22. I would imagine that there are midi files for many cover songs but I don't know of a specific place for them. Google would be your best bet to start off with.
  23. I wish they would do a flash sale on Plini, Nolly or Petrucci
  24. It also could be a driver issue. Check what driver mode you are using. Make sure that some other application didn't slip an unwanted driver in.
