  1. Probably better to take that $23.20 and put it towards one of Greg's Orange Tree Evolution guitars, that are now approaching the 60% discount in the current group buy! And I am saying this as an owner of several UJAM guitars... I like the UJAM basses, but so far not totally crazy about their guitars. So at 60% off, you could have the Evolution Songwriter acoustic guitar for $107.40. https://www.orangetreesamples.com/group-buy I have 2 Orange Tree guitars and they come with many strum patterns, plus you can create your own patterns and save them as user presets. Example of factory strums in Evolution Songwriter:
  2. I tried this out, and it seems to do what it claims. Actually is light on resources.
  3. No problem, glad to assist! On the old Cakewalk forum I used to use Imgur to host my pics for forum posts. That was always an annoying extra hoop to jump thru, IMO. But since the new forum now allows direct uploads, I use that. The max limit here is usually easy to stay beneath, especially if you use photo editors with "save for web" that allow you to resize and compress files.
  4. Yes, MixBox modules have just the faceplate controls. That is the biggest functional difference between MixBox and T-RackS. The MixBox is simplified, which I find appealing. More like a quick stomp-box approach for dialing in a sound for live play, rather than endless options for mixing. Here they are, all 5 of them!
  5. The only rgc:audio Pentagon that I have installed in my system is the DXi version, located at: "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared DXi\Pentagon I\P1DXi.dll". It's version 1.4, copyright 2003. And Pentagon is working here, with the exception of certain"Simulator" settings available in the UI. I don't recall having to jump through any hoops to get it installed, it just came along for the ride when I installed Sonar. I mostly stopped using Pentagon years ago. I can understand the need if you have old projects that call for this one, but there are better synth options out there today. For a decent paid, not free, virtual subtractive analog synth with basic one page controls I would recommend eitherTone2 Saurus 3 or Waves Element 2. Saurus 3 can be had for $69, and Element 2 is currently on sale for $29.
  6. I looked at that freebie UI, and then thought, "well I could get it, but I already have iZotope". Probably worth a shot if you don't have any AI powered mixing plugins already.
  7. Here's a quick mock-up using the Orange Tree Evolution Rock Standard. First 20 secs is the just dry guitar, and the next is with that MixBox preset above switched on (Madcat Space Guitar Lead). Same dry OT guitar preset in both parts though... 😎 Photograph Intro (Orange Tree Evolution Rock Standard).mp3
  8. Novum is $125.30 at Tracktion with JULYFOURTH applied in the cart. JRRshop still has it for $107.40, but discount coupons are not available for this product. I think the promo prices are supposed to go away next week, resulting in a full price of $179.
  9. No. You would need to add your already owned T-RackS Sunset verb as a regular FX in your host. I purchased the new Sunset verb module collection for MixBox, as I qualified for the $6.99 price since I already owned the T-RackS version. There was a slight technical snafu with my existing MixBox serial# that prevented my new modules from activating in MixBox. All resolved now by IK support. P.S. The new MixBox presets are very much worth the $7. 😎 One preset example:
  10. Opening an IK support ticket was the only way that worked for me. I already had a legit MixBox serial, but IK support had to assign me a new MixBox serial number in order for the Sunset Reverbs to show up as activated. A "workaround" I suppose, until they get this fixed in their system. But regardless, it works now. Their support team did a great job, even during the weekend, to resolve my issue. By the way, the new presets are worth it! They are "Rack" presets that combine the selected Sunset module with other MixBox modules to create an interesting FX chain.
  11. You may want to check with @Jim Roseberryhere on the Cakewalk Forum. His company builds custom PC's specifically for DAW use. He has been at it for many years and knows what he is doing. https://www.studiocat.com/ Custom PC's Consultation Support
  12. Yep, that Amazon Prime Chase card pretty much pays for your annual Prime membership with 5% back! Plus you get free Prime 2-day shipping, and easy returns! What's not to like about that!
  13. Tracy Collins of Indiginus seems like an outstanding nice guy! I have bought several of his libraries. Here is an interview with him in one of Simeon Amburgey's live streams. Very interesting, as Tracy recounts the early days of sampling, and more! "Tracy Collins, the founder of Indiginus, has been creating sample libraries long before the introduction of Kontakt. My introduction to his libraries came with IK Multimedia's THE RESONATOR, and I had to find out more about this developer and the other instruments he has produced. Join me as we will meet the man behind Indiginus and discover a few of his amazing and playable libraries. We will also be highlighting Indiginus' latest library "The Fiddle", which carries on the tradition of playability, emotion, and value"
  14. I jumped on 3 items from that list in the OT group buy last year (my first time with OT): Evolution Rock Standard Evolution Songwriter Famous E No regrets! All versatile choices, and I think they sound great! A fine electric guitar, a fine acoustic guitar, and an absolutely stunning Rhodes E piano. Well done OT! Although I haven't attempted anything with them yet as ambitious as what Pavlov just posted...
  15. Well all those non-spinning drives shouldn't give a sh*t how they are oriented! 🤣 Well played!
  16. Ahh. Great book! I still have that sitting on my bookshelf, right next to Sonar 8 Power.
  17. Agree that was possibly a flaky drive from day 1, acting up from the start!
  18. Do you have AAS Objeq Delay yet? That one's a lot of fun! 😎
  19. But...but... You can never have too many reverbs, right?

    Reason 12 Upgrade

But $499 for the full Reason 12 Perpetual version (or $444 with code "FORUM")??? Or even $399 for an upgrade from intro/lite, which many folks probably have... The upgrade pricing might be nice for existing users, but who's going to pay that initial entry fee these days? 🙄
  21. Take a look at the patch "Factory Content > Simulations > Harp FG". Even with the polyphony cranked up to 64, the individual notes decay and release as one would expect, with new notes restarting at each key press, then tracking the ADSR envelope. If you turn off the delay and reverb FX, the individual notes fade even much faster. However, if I turn the delay feedback and level all the way up, it appears to generate a self sustaining feedback loop.
