  1. Wow Steven!! That's a great price on that plugin. Great find!!
  2. Vernon, can you see your license? IOW, can you move it to the cloud and see what happens? Or is WC telling you that there is no license? Look in the license icon to the left in WC, then look at the top of that page and check each location to see if the license is one of those places.
  3. Agreed. Love the plugins that T-Racks has. IK is top notch.
  4. Good video so far Zo. I am at work right now so I don't want to watch the whole thing over cellular. Was going to just start watching it, just for a few minutes. Next thing I know I am almost half way through it!! Really like that you took the time to show how you work from getting the samples right and beginning the 'sculpturing' phase. Really interesting. I agree about 670 and the 83. Loved those the first time I heard them. Loved how you took the pinging sound and made it sound like a drip!! Nice work. Really loved when you put the spring verb on it. Then when you put the plate after it, but switched it around to the front of the spring.... really nice stuff there. Can't wait till I get home to watch the rest.
  5. Zo, if didn't get a great deal on a Apollo and the plugins (not just the plugins that come with UA devices) I would have stayed with RME. In fact, I even contemplated getting this deal just to see which I liked better. Then I did some recording with the SSL E in the Unison slot... and the EMT 250 reverb. Decided I'll keep the UA stuff a little while longer!!

Boy that would be a miracle!!!
  9. I bought a used RME Fireface 400 (firewire interface) from someone on this forum. This was an old unit. It came out before USB was cable enough to do the job. I paid $500 for it! That was the most I had ever paid for an audio interface. After several years of use I understood why they cost so much. I felt I got more than my money's worth out of it. I looked up the price for a new RME and decided I would pay that price when it became time to get another one. As life goes, I got a great deal on a UA Apollo Twin. And then I sold my old RME unit on ebay. I got $350. I really think I could have held out for the going price of $450, but I let somebody that wanted a good interface have a deal. I cannot say enough good things about RME. Great company, great interfaces, great software mixer, best drivers in the world. If I would not have gotten the Apollo and was still using my old Fireface 400, I probably would get in on this deal. I have not seen these go on sale much. And like Christian says, they do have a great re-sale value.
  10. That seems like something an update to Windows is unlikely to do. Never had that happen. Not saying it's impossible, ya never know with Windows. But let me ask this, did you have your network card disabled before you updated? If you did, then waves might have linked the license to your C:\ drive. If the update re-enables the network card, Waves switched license to it. At somepoint, (may during the update, maybe at some point in the past) the Cdrive ID got changed so when Waves tried to put license back on the drive, WC saw it as a different drive. Doesn't WC have a repair option? Have you tried that?
  11. If it were me, I'd reset the plugins (if your using Cakewalk) and let Cakewalk recan your plugins before you do anything. That often solves Waves License issues with Cakewalk. If your using another DAW.....
  12. This is one of the better SSL emulations. Decent price.

  15. Ken don't discount the plugins you get with the unit. All of those are very good too!! In fact, I don't think I have tried a "legacy" plugin I didn't like! Those comps... man!!

We could hold out and hope!!
  19. Never tried Exponential's stuff Mesh. But I have used AR Plates on everything I can think of. With never a bad result. With the controls you can achieve the desired amount and depth of the reverb. I mostly use it on a bus and have sends on the trks I want reverb on. I have only come across one reverb I like as much, if not With the EQ controls (which I always use) you can dial in that sound your looking for.

We got the fourth!! Got 7 days left!!
  21. @abacab The sound it gives me. It's a doubling effect that I find hard to get with other delays. I have tried before I got ADT. When I got ADT and started playing with the plugin I realized that's the sound I was looking for. It also has several features like the drive and pan controls for each the Source and FX the give this a special sound. I mostly use it on vocals. Lead and back up. But have used it on guitar. Sure it will work well with synths too.
  22. @abacabReel is almost my fav out the bunch. Plates is number one. Reel ADT is a very close second. I use it all the time. I don't think I have ever used The Kings mics.
  23. @abacab You can check with Koby and see what he would charge to upgrade you to the AR Collection.
