Thanks so much! I got lucky; most of the footage came from the royalty-free sections in YouTube. Jack, it's not the kick or snare that's off, rather it's most likely the guitar or bass. I used a preset drum pattern from Superior Drummer 3, so unless my software came in with a hangover, it wasn't the drums. Just consider this having the human touch Thanks for listening.

Over the last couple of decades I've become concerned with the danger of extinction to the honeybee. Their population has twice been decimated, and their importance to agriculture cannot be underestimated. So along with some of my dearest friends (new and old) I wrote a song and made a video about the plight of the bee. Those of you with sharp eyes may spot our own Freddy J (Webb) during the grand finale, but the rest of the choir includes Pat and Jane Norman, Roger Fife, and Karyl Wilson. Roger played bass, and I did the rest. Each choir member contributed their own video clip, so my thanks to them! I hope you all enjoy! As always, I look forward to your comments and thank you for your time. Here's the video link:

Fabulous! Best of luck with this, Rob. The guitar tones sound fantastic, as does everything else. Keep it up!

I like this piece and I like the reverb, which makes is sound like it was recorded in an empty hall. Ahh...but, it's over so quickly.

I agree with your friends, that it's good the way it is. Sometimes there's no need to over polish a gem, and that's what this recording is. I had to listen several times to just let this sink in. Well done!
-
I think you've done a terrific job on this cover! I like it as is because it sounds genuine and heart-felt. I'm going back for another listen.

They work!! Keep them!

Wookie, you never seem to be at a loss for inspiration. You make synthesizers interesting and are to be commended for your efforts. Keep up the good work, my friend!

Terrific song, Rex. I like the fact that I never know what you're gonna do next. Stay that way!

It works! Nice job and beautiful sounds.

This is a very well performed, retro hard rock song in the AC/DC or Kiss style. Just like those bands, the lyrics are hard to make out, but the energy and spirit is there. I agree with Ed, that it could use a little more bottom end and drum energy to round it out. Otherwise, this sounds good overall, and should gain some fans for you!

Wow, this sounds totally professional and polished. The vocal was worth the wait! Both versions sound good to me, so job well done!

I've loved this style of music since I was about 10 years old. It's refreshing to see this video because we get to see your mastery of the Fender sound. Since you often rearrange so many songs, it's nice to hear an original song from you. It's very good!! Thanks for sharing!

I have to agree with Paul about the lack of backup vox. Maybe just a harmony on the chorus or refrain would be enough to make this a gem, but regardless, it's a good song and fun listen!
-
I must have missed the original version of this song, but I like this version. The reverb adds depth and dimensionality that many instrumentals are lacking. It sounds like you had a lot of fun in making this because it's fun to listen to. Keep up the good work!

Good luck on your quest to get a recording deal from a record company because you definitely have the chops and skills to get one. Don't give up on being original, however, because people are looking for the next "big" thing all the time. I'd love to hear more of your work!

This is a good start to something that could be very cool and funky. It just needs a few more parts to be complete, and then you may well have a gem. I'll stay tuned for the rest of this story.

This is a good way to start my day. I agree with all the kudos you've received for your playing and writing. I do feel that the ending was a little too abrupt, but that doesn't take anything away from the overall brilliance of the recording. It would make a good vocal song if you ever care to take the time.

Your orchestration is brilliant, David. I love the mix for this song; it creates tension, then releases it, making this song breathe with life. What an imagination you have!
-
This new sound from you is mesmerizing, as well as being light and delicate. I enjoyed the mix as is, and would suggest taking many of these tips and incorporating them in your next song. It has your finely tuned sense of melody, and that, to me, is your great strength!

Freddy, this is a lovely ballad that I could easily hear the Beach Boys doing. Your range of songs is amazing, and it's good to get out of your comfort zone once in a while. As Bjorn noted, it's a little herky-jerky, but that can smoothed out. Btw, the video is nearly done, so stay tuned to this channel!

Amazing! Great song and great video. Is that you in the video, Nigel? I sure would like to know how you construct these epics!
-
You write some of the wittiest lyrics around. I like your vocal in this and the reverb is just fine, imo. I wish that I was half as prolific as you, my friend! Keep 'em coming!

Fabulous, Bjorn! You have a real mastery with your electronics that give this tune depth and mystery. Your dynamics are very good, and should be an example for all of us!
