Jack, this is quite unique and held my attention throughout. As is often the case with your tunes, I can't quite make out the lyrics plainly, so it's sometimes hard to know your POV, but, I admire your ability to take risks and put them out there for all to see. I often think you're just a tweak or two away from being one of the best.

Though just a snippet, this leaves me wanting more. Your mixes just keep getting better. The beginning is rather abrupt, but doesn't take anything away from the whole. Keep it up!

This has kind of a sad, wistful mood in its melody that appeals to me. I don't know if this needs the sole hi-hat, but it stands on its own very well.

Barry, I feel like your lyrics could have been written about my life, so I can relate to this very well. Music is a good healing process for the body and the soul. I listened to the 2nd mix and find it to be very clear. The drums and slide guitar really drive this, and your playing is terrific. If I were to change anything, it would be to turn the bass guitar and lead vocal up a few db's, as the toms are very prominent throughout. Otherwise, congratulations on a terrific song and quick recovery from a major surgery. Stay well.
