This is a two for one because I liked both songs that I just heard. Unpredictability is your best friend.

Good song and lyrics, Paul! You've gotten good advice, but it shouldn't be hard to make this stellar. Your songs just keep getting better and better.

I, too, use Ovox successfully with the latest version of CW, but I had to have Waves send me a rollback version after their first update. But, for whatever reason, it does work. They issued a plug-in called Vocalbender, which is kind of like a lite version of Ovox that works well on CW, so you might check that out. I will say that Ovox is a resource hog, but when it works, it is unique.

Can anyone explain the mapping in Superior Drummer?
Lynn Wilson replied to Keni's topic in Instruments & Effects
If you use preset grooves, check out SD3 grooves before changing the mapping. Within SD3, the mapping can be changed to map to many of the most popular drum VSTs available, so you're not stuck with one map. I often use SD3 mapped to my AD2 grooves which vastly increases my library of beats. If you roll your own, then have at it! -
Truer words have never been spoken, and you put the perfect melody to them! I really enjoy listening to this.

Thank you very much! Good work, yourself.

About halfway through this, I was distracted, and when I started listening again I thought I was hearing Crowded House before I remembered who I was listening to. Your songwriting is brilliant from top to bottom! In a just world this album would go to number one. It made my day!

Thank you for putting this on video! I love hearing you play, and being able to see you play is the icing on the cake,

I needed something dark and heavy right now, and you delivered. Good mix and performance! I gotta go to Wikipedia now.

Keni, I have used AD1 & 2, as well as SD2 & 3, and after 12 years of using VSTs for drums I prefer SD3. The big difference to me is the fact that the on-board mixer in SD3 can apply f/x to individual tracks as well as the entire kit, whereas AD2 f/x can only be applied globally to the whole kit. I always start with bare tracks and apply f/x only as needed to individual tracks or the whole kit. With AD2, I have to use multiple instances of it to process individual drums where each instance uses only one drum, thus, I sometimes have to use 4-6 separate tracks to get the sound I want. Because SD3 has a complete mixer, I only need one instance of it to get my sound. The f/x are very good, with lots of presets for all drums. Over time, I have created a few defaults kits that I use as a starting point and go from there. A big benefit is that the drum samples sound quite good with nothing on them. That's all I can offer, but I hope it helps.

As always, your words capture the vibe that's going around our lives at any given time. Your songs (I listened to the first two) are like comfort food to me. It's hard to keep up with you!

Quit processing your vocals. Try mixing them dry, and mix your instruments around them. And, please consider creating intros for your songs; starting them full blast with no lead-in is jarring. Your strength is writing unique songs, but your weakness is arranging them. I see in some of your comments elsewhere that you're still asking people to explain dynamics to you. I did my best to explain them to you, but for naught. Maybe a little time spent researching dynamics would be time well spent. Please take this in an effort to help and not criticize.

The song and arrangement is terrific, and the video just enhances it all the more! This is the kind of music that inspires me to try harder.

This is the best thing I've heard all day! Wow! It's working, and it just amazes me how you managed to transform yourself into a master right in front of us all. Just superb!

Good name for this tune. The song is fresh and polished, but not overly so. It makes me want to come back for more!

I didn't see this one coming. This will be great when it's done. Already, it's so fluid with a vintage, yet modern sound. Yeah, I couldn't hear the first vocal section very well either, but it was just right afterwards. Good luck with this! If you stage it then please make a video!

I've always loved this song! It sounds better than ever. I've been somewhat busy with family lately, but I'll be back to listen and comment on your other song very soon! Way to go, Steve!

Thanks, Douglas, your comments are greatly appreciated! David, I hope we can keep up with this rapidly changing world. Hearing your comments brightens my day! (I agree with you about the Darwin awards) Tom, a great big thank you for your welcome words, both here and at YT. To be honest, I just discovered that all the YT comments goes to my Gmail account, which is my secondary email and I don't always check it as often as I should.

I'm glad you brought my attention to this lovely song. To me, your arrangements are the star of your latest songs. They are ultra sophisticated and well produced. You are playing to your strengths and it shows. Keep it up!

Thank you, John! Stay safe! Esther, thank you for your time and kind words! I made the choice to leave some of those timing issues alone because several tracks were done remotely, and I didn't want to step on the "feel" too much. The singer you're talking about is Mary Jane Norman, a childhood friend who has been a terrific singer all her life. She'll be happy to hear your compliment.

Thank you, Bjorn! Much appreciated. Thank you for you kind words, Wookie! I'm sure your garden and pond are beautiful.

Thank you for your kind words! Let's hope this is only the beginning. Nigel, I have to admit, I was inspired by your own videos. I appreciate your time and comments very much! Steve, thank you so much for taking a look at this and commenting! Albert was happy to do this for me, though I didn't get to "colorize" him like he wanted Once again, thank you for your kind words, Steve. That must be the "London Way"!

Thank you very much, Tom! I learned a long time ago that the more I eat, the older I get~~~ I appreciate your comment about the chords of the chorus. I had several choices and decided that dark was best for this song which led me to end it on a more upbeat note. (btw, I knew it was you) Freddy, it was an honor to have you participate in this, especially knowing your educational background. It lends gravitas to this subject! Let's hope this is just a beginning.

I appreciate your time and thoughts. YouTube gets the credit for much of the footage, as they have a ton of royalty free content. Steve, thank you for your kind and wise words. My first goal was to raise awareness of this issue, and I may have overlooked a stray hit or two from the drum software, but then, that's kind of my trademark Kurt, thank you for understanding! Wow, what a gratifying response! Thanks for taking the time to do a little research and care. I know a lot of homeowners may not like to hear this, but dandelions are a big attraction for honeybees. That made me quit using pesticides and weed killers on my own lawn (with my neighbor's blessings).
