I got it as part of the AIEP 3 bundle some time ago and if I'm honest wouldn't buy it separately now but I guess it depends on what else you already have. If I want straight vocoding I usually use Waves Morphoder (currently $29) which I find easier to get the results I want than Vocalizer Pro. If I want more in-depth vocal effects I will turn to Waves Ovox (only purchased this week but I like what I have tried so far) or iZotope VocalSynth 2. So if you have any of the above plugins then you probably don't need Vocalizer Pro. If in doubt you could always try the trial version from here... https://sonivoxmi.com/products/details/vocalizer-pro

My original plan was to integrate the iPad with the PC using StudioMux acting as a link between the two. I wanted to use iPad virtual instruments in the PC environment with audio/MIDI being communicated between the two. It did work but I found the setup a bit flakey and in the end it was too much of a faff. I will try it again sometime though as I'm sure it will improve. I spent a long time hanging out on the Audiobus forum and getting apps when they were on sale. As far as DAWs go I mainly used Cubasis 2 (with all of the Waves and other add-ons) and Garageband, although I also have Beatmaker 3, Stagelight and Beathawk but haven't used them as much. There are a lot of excellent and reasonably priced synths available including some that originated on the PC/MAC. Korg is well catered for with Gadget and Module plus all of their individual offerings. Then there's Moog stuff (Animoog, Model 15 etc), Arturia, IceWorks (Mersenne, Lorentz etc), Yonac (Kauldron, Magellan etc), ApeSoft (iVCS3, Mood), Scythe, Photophore, Sugar Bytes, IK Syntronik and a whole load of others. GeoShred is also a brilliant guitar come synth app conceived by the great Jordan Rudess. I also found a lot of "pattern generation/experimentation" type plugins which I probably used more than all of the other plugins for sketching out ideas when away from the PC such as ChordBot, ChordMaps2, Navichord, Suggester, ChordPolyPad, Fugue Machine, Chordup, ChordBud, LatticeHarmony and a few others. As far as Guitar Apps I use Amplitube, JamUp, Bias Amp 2, Bias FX, Bias Pedal and Tonebridge but really like the Yonac apps e.g. Tonestack and more recently bought Roxsyn in the sales (guitar synth) which is really good fun! Their Steel Guitar is also very good. There is an IOS version of MIDI Guitar which is worth a look but as I have the PC version I tend to mostly use that. Generative Music is also quite well served on the iPad with apps like Wotja, Droneo and Refraktions. I have an old version of Wotja but I'm tempted to get hold of the new version 20 which has a lot of improvements. Utilities such as AUM and AudioShare are also must haves for integrating individual apps and also for sharing and exchanging files between IOS and PC. For a while I used some of the IOS apps when creating YouTube videos, especially Wizibel and Frax HD. I use an iRig HD for iPad guitar input but my old Steinberg UR242 is also iPad friendly so I can use that for more flexibility. I have used this setup a couple of times to record while away from the home studio which worked great and minimised the amount of gear I had to take with me. At the end of the day though I still find it far easier to record/mix/master using a PC based DAW. Here are some of the websites I use to keep track of App Sales as well as the Audiobus Forum (there are others): http://musicappnews.com/ https://appshopper.com/music/ https://www.iosnoops.com/

By the way you can get 35% off this price with the coupon code GIFT35. Not sure how long that offer is on for though.

I have the latest version (4.1.2) of the x64 VUMeter Mk4 plugins installed. I tried both VST2 and VST3 versions and they seem to work fine in CbB using Auto gain. I also tried a mixture of VST2 and 3 on individual tracks and the master bus without any issues. Does this happen in any project? You mention trying it on different tracks and multiple tracks but is that all within the same project? If so it might be project specific. Try starting a new project and see if the same thing happens.

Thanks, yes it's an example of how blending real and virtual can give pretty nice results. I can do some isolated guitar tracks for you if it would help? The Pettinghouse guitar track on it's own sounds OK but unconvincing and it also cannot play the drop D which many newer virtual guitars can do.

Yes I got the bundle a few years back and also bought the V2 ClassicGuitar (Nylon Acoustic) upgrade when it came out. When I got it I quite liked mixing my own real acoustic guitar with the Pettinghouse Acoustic Guitar in pseudo 12 string stereo mode to create a nice wide jangly sound. The bundle does include a lot of reasonable instruments plus quite a bit of "filler" which I have never used. That said I have also purchased OTS, Indiginus, Ilya Efimov and others which as TheSteven says are better sounding. If given a choice now I would probably go with them instead of the Pettinghouse Bundle. FYI here's an example of me using the Pettinghouse Acoustic blended with my own acoustic https://soundclick.com/r/s8bbo4

Lol, yes that also happens to me especially with the 200 and I am primarily a guitarist!

Yes it's in settings. Fortunately I managed to find and change it before downloading all the HD content.

No problem kevro2000. Glad you got it sorted ?

I like that's it's a free update for us V1 owners and appreciate the new features. One thing I'm liking in Harvest is that you can lock existing notes and then add new random notes to the pattern that co-exist on the same steps as the locked pattern to create chords. That would be a useful addition to Riffer although I guess you could achieve the same with multiple instances of Riffer.

Hey Mesh, It took a while to download all of the new stuff as Waves Central insisted on downloading all of the HD sample content for the Inspire instruments, even though I already had it for 2 existing instruments. The download speed was also a bit slow so I left it going while I got on with other stuff. Anyway, after a very brief play with OVox I think I would find more uses for it than I have for, say, Vocalsynth 2. Right off the bat the presets seem to be more musical and work better on the vocal tracks I tried. Definitely worthy of more investigation and I can also see myself using it mixed in subtly with non-effected vocal tracks to add interest.

Lol, must have been posting at the same time but you just beat me to it! Will delete mine

Nice! I got Bass Fingers, Bass Slapper, Clavinet, Electric 200 Piano, Electric 88 Piano, Flow Motion FM Synth and OVox Vocal ReSynthesis for $66 (about £51)! Even less than I thought it would be ?
-
Thanks Simon - yes of course I always do! In fact Koby must be fed up with me pestering him I was just posting what Waves was quoting as a "starter for ten". I think the EP saving is usually around 15% so I imagine it would be around $80 (or ~ £61 which isn't bad and I might do it).

It's $95 for me to add 8 new products (although I already have one of them included in Gold so it's 7 really).... Bass Fingers, Bass Slapper, Clavinet, Electric 200 Piano, Electric 88 Piano, Flow Motion FM Synth and OVox Vocal ReSynthesis. That's around $13.50 per plugin. Not bad. BTW I have v9, 10 and 11 products all working fine.

Same for me ?

I bought Z3TA+2 when it was on a deal with the Bigtone EDM bundle. I used it quite a bit when I first got it but I have too much choice now. I still think it has a fantastic sound. They were trying to bring the IOS version back to life at one point (I got involved in a beta test with a Cakewalk guy called Alex Westner) but that never properly came to fruition. It would be great if it could be re-released at some point on both platforms.

Have a look in the browser in CbB (press B shortcut) then select the Plugins / Instruments menu and type "iron" in the search bar. If it's not showing then chances are you haven't included the right location in the VST scanner. On my system it was installed to: c:\program files\vstplugins\UJAM\ so check that yours is also there and if so make sure c:\program files\vstplugins it is included in your VST Scan Paths (press P then VST Settings) and rescan.
