  1. Here's my twopenneth Starise...my biggest mistake was going for ST4 (the version just below MAX like you are considering) when it first came out (pre-order) which I did mainly due to the storage considerations (100Gb vs 260Gb). Also, because I got it when it first came out there was the usual raft of bugs that needed fixing which caused me quite a few problems. In terms of content I didn't find it very useful and soon realised that I should have gone for MAX or not bothered. YMMV. I upgraded to MAX on a killer deal after an SSD upgrade and never looked back. The original bugs in ST4 seem to be ironed out nowadays and some of the MAX instruments are excellent (brass, woodwind, piano, guitar, voices). There's a lot to like as well as a lot that I will probably never use but that's true of most libraries. I can also still use all of my ST3 MAX libraries (still love that American Acoustic) and even some old esoundz ST2 libraries. Here's a page comparing versions.. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/st4/index.php?p=versions ...and a list of instruments in each version. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/include/st4/soundlist/SampleTank_4_comparison.pdf
  2. Yes the price seems a bit closer to the mark now. Looks quite usable and doesn't take much space but I have more drums than I can shake a stick at (no pun intended). I spent a lot of time on Sunday sorting out all of my old Midi and audio drum samples (mostly from old looploft deals).
  3. Couldn't find one at Musictech. Did you mean this one Fleer? https://www.musicradar.com/reviews/tech/beatskillz-dropx-641005

    BJZ presents Nattmara

Great song and video BJZ! I had to look up Natmarra and I think you captured the atmosphere perfectly.
  5. Yes it was in my list of available options Fleer. I was a little surprised and when I authorized the two packs (one download) Digital Sins had the serial already embedded within the install for authorisation but Masala 2 did not (it was in my account though and worked fine). The list of available packs seems to be somewhat personalised based on what you have already but it wasn't a very big list (didn't count them but there was maybe 8 rows of 3 packs).
  6. I decided to get an Instachord addon at PB to get the AAS sound packs. Note the Instachord addons are cheaper at WAProd with the 40% off code apart from Synthwave which is on sale at PB. For the AAS packs I went with Masala 2 and Digital Sins.
  7. Thanks for confirming Larry. I am still in the market for a new controller keyboard so now I'm wondering about getting the Launchkey.
  8. Larry, do you know whether any of the Novation VSTi plugins (V-Station or Bass Station) qualify for the Novation Plugin Collective or does it have to be hardware? Thanks
  9. I have been messing with the free version of Re-Groover that came with any purchase from PluginBoutique a few months back and found it pretty good at what it does. So I logged into my Accusonus account today and noticed that the above BF deals are still active as well as ERA 4 Bundle discounts. I'm tempted by the Re-Groover Pro upgrade or even Beatmaking Bundle 2.
  10. Dodge Pro works out at £4.86 inc VAT direct from WA Prod for anyone in the UK ? The Titan Vocal Bundle freebie includes... Future House Vocal Edition Vocal Shouts Edition 2 Deep House Vocal Construction Kits Future House Vocal Construction Kits EDM Vocal Shouts Tools Chill Vocals Universe Thanks Larry, John and Musical!
  11. Haven't received anything yet. What's the offer? SS is on my wishlist.
  12. The tutorial/demo videos do look pretty good albeit within limitations. It can even generate Male/Female synthesised vocals which sound OK (I thought the male sounded better than the female). FYI they want your email address and the download checks out clean on Virustotal. Will investigate further later...
  13. I think that's what appeals to me also even though I already have a squillion other effects. Nice I used my voucher on Tape Stop (worked out at £4.95). I already have Tantra and BreakTweaker but when you just want a simple "tape stop/start" effect then I haven't found anything as easy to use as the KH one. I also went back and got ensemble in their sale Fleer and very nice it is too. I like that you can have up to 16 sources and the UI for how they move is neat.
  14. Thanks. Sadly both shops add VAT but T&S still works out cheaper and I have some T&S loyalty points looking for a good home
  15. Thanks for the background information Patrick. I like Kyle's stuff and have Riff Generation - Outside In Edition and the free Fruit Shake from InSessionAudio. Anyway I picked up the Sampler Pack. I noticed that VSTBuzz also have the full 28 library (40Gb) version https://vstbuzz.com/store/96-off-ultimate-rmx-30k-bundle-worth-2400/
  16. Now I'm thinking I might go for this Rigid Audio deal instead (requires full Kontakt) --> http://www.rigid-audio.com/products_cinematic_kit_bundle.html There's also a slightly different Rigid Audio bundle on offer at PluginBoutique.
  17. APD are selling the Kontakt version but FP are selling the new version using Mirage. Now I am wondering whether purchasing the APD version will turn into the Mirage version anyway when you register it at FP ?
  18. @mibbyI have all their freebies plus Reverser and KHS One. I will definitely use the voucher to pick up a few extras. I also like the free Snap Heap which is like SoundToys Effect Rack as it lets you combine effects and save them as presets. These ones are on sale at the moment (but revert to full price with the voucher)... Distortion - Regular price € 29 now € 14.50 Filter - Regular price € 19 now € 9.50 Reverb - Regular price € 39 now € 19.50 Ensemble Regular price € 29 now € 14.50
  19. Just received this email from Kilohearts... It includes a unique single use $30 voucher code.
  20. I said to FrozenPlain ... This was their reply...
  21. Yes I wondered the same myself so I have emailed FrozenPlain and will post back when they reply. From the looks of it, their website will check your account for Phoenix and alter the price of the new version accordingly. I don't see how it can tell who you bought the Kontakt version from. Anyway, we'll see what they say. In many ways I would rather have a Kontakt version than yet another 3rd party host system to manage/update etc.
  22. I had a couple of other updates available which I think are for Ovox...
  23. Thanks Larry. Can anyone remind me; is it Hoser XT that comes with a ProChannel module?
  24. You can buy the Kontakt version from the APD shop for $14.99 if you have enough rewards... https://audioplugin.deals/phoenix-by-frozen-plain/ Then I assume from the above posts that it would be $5 to upgrade? So that's $19.99 for the latest Mirage version.
