  1. Now that's an original idea and very clever. Great tune and lyrics. Really enjoyed this. Looking at the last bit of video you are definitely getting there! Well done Bjorn.
  2. Thanks for the information. To be honest, even if I can't resell it easily, 34 pounds is not exactly a big risk to gain access to some of those instruments.
  3. Works out at 34.15 GBP inc VAT in the UK. Tempting (to use as a plugin in other DAWs). This page is useful for comparing editions... https://www.reasonstudios.com/en/reason/buy Another consideration is that it can be resold if you decide it's not for you. I found this video which says something about the instruments and effects included in Reason Intro (I don't necessarily advocate his view of it being the best DAW for beginners by the way)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3SFABVoais
  4. Boy Kenny you sure got the funk on this one! Great guitar playing ?? Loved all of the neat little fusion elements spread liberally throughout the track. The change at 2:27 made me sit up and listen! This is gonna be on repeat in the car.
  5. As I mentioned over on the Deals forum the word Epic springs to mind. I love the variety of dynamics and how it changes over time from full orchestras belting out to solo instruments. You mentioned that you "wanted to attempt an epic and emotional score worthy of a matching hypothetical movie scene" and I think you have 100% achieved it. I can just hypothetically imagine you writing this while painstakingly watching scenes from a scoreless film, bit by bit piecing together the music to match the scene. Clearly a lot of work has gone into this and I think you should be proud of it!
  6. Serial has now arrived from JRR (not bad about 1. 5 hours).
  7. Lol! Apologies I just checked the email which was titled "Your serial number" but the content says "This license needs to be manually generated. You will be contacted immediately when it becomes available." So I'm gonna nudge them too!
  8. That's my most used phrase Seriously if you can get your head around some of that Fripptastic guitar I will be very impressed. That's also what I did and I got the serial instantly from JRR just now. I actually still have some serials left but I usually use those on full price packs and buy these deals with money instead. Thanks man ??
  9. Thanks Larry. Reminds me; I must download all those vfx assets from the Humble Bundle Filmmakers deal (about 50Gb in total ?). I used HitFilm Pro yesterday for the first time in earnest and I have to say it was a pretty good experience. Slick and fast and I didn't have to read any manuals.
  10. Would love to hear that when it's done! I contemplated doing a Rush tribute album but I couldn't find a tight enough pair of jeans (for the vocals). Another instabuy for me.

    "Say Goodbye"

Love the acoustic guitar sound and heartfelt vocals. Love that vocal "fadeout" on the word "fade". Kind of simple arrangement which worked well.
  12. Beautiful song and video with some great storytelling. The solo vocals really drew me in and the harmonies are also excellent. I have done some stop motion myself so I know how much work must have gone into the video. Merry Christmas!

    No Clue

An enjoyable listen Mark. As an ex-cellist myself I thought your 'cello fitted nicely into the vibe of the song and was well played and recorded. Well done!
  14. The original is always on my Christmas playlist and your cover is about as good as it gets. Chrissy's vocals are pretty unique but MrsDaryl did a fantastic job and the ending guitar solo was also a pleasant surprise. Excellent! Happy Christmas.

    Take it All

I'm with David on this; a definite Yes vibe. Some of the high vocal notes even reminded me of Jon Anderson. Great job Nigel!
  16. Fantastic vocals and guitars and a really pro sound. Great production. Enjoyed it a lot. Nice one Bob. Rock on!
  17. Lovely Christmassy song. Really enjoyed it. Great video too.

    8DIO Christmas Sales

New deal is up.... Lacrimosa for $98 https://8dio.com/instrument/lacrimosa-epic-choir-for-kontakt-vst-au-aax/ Hybrid Tools Neo is free with spends of >= $98
  19. Sound pretty good to me Fleer if you need engine sounds etc for maybe a song or movie. There's an included PDF that lists all of the cars and quads sampled. They are all sampled at 96Khz. I guess it's not something I would use every day but worth storing away under "sound effects". There are some other freebies on the site also... EDV3RB https://tovusound.com/shop/edv3rb-lite/ and Indian Ricksha https://tovusound.com/shop/indian-ricksha/
  20. Thanks Larry! For me the Product Portal is also showing updates for Relay (1.0.3 --> 1.0.4) and Tonal Balance Control 2 (2.0.0 --> 2.0.1) EDIT: Looks like Relay & TBC2 are already included in the Ozone 9 and Neutron updates so shouldn't be necessary to do them separately.
  21. Yes it's there today via in-app purchase though at £48.99 they must be kidding. Would rather spend the money upgrading Cubase Pro 10 to 10.5. TBH there's not much wrong with Cubasis v2 on the iPad so I just don't see the need to upgrade. At half price I might reconsider and they often did sales on v2 so might be worth waiting for that on v3.
  22. Got Deconstruction. Thanks for the tips guys.
  23. I was also looking at this deal so thanks Mesh for asking what I was thinking and Matthew for your insight. I have run out of reactions already ?
