  1. It's actually pretty nice and the demo works for 30 minutes. You feed it with MIDI e.g. chords and it can then treat the MIDI to create melody, bass, chords patterns from the data. I'm trying to decide whether it offers anything significantly different to Chordpotion which I bought at Christmas.
  2. FWIW I heard back from Venomode...
  3. Thanks Larry. Looks interesting and there's a demo (Windows, OSX and even Ubuntu). Seems to do similar things to Chordpotion but in a different way. FYI running the Windows demo exe ( Phrasebox Setup 1.0.0.exe ) through VirusTotal, 1 engine (BKAV) out of 70 detected --> W32.AIDetectVM.malware Probably a false positive but just a heads up and I have emailed Venomode's support.
  4. Yup also worked for me. Cheers Larry.
  5. Just checked and I also have the FX Home one - doing it now ?
  6. Thanks for pointing that out @Piotr - I didn't notice that it was an old product. I did receive a fairly in-depth survey this morning from AMR about ReValver so it looks like they are still interested to know what users would like to see in future.
  7. Thanks Larry. I see that the sale is still on. The Demon amp model is $7.99 (from $12.99) as are most of the other amps... https://www.audiomediaresearch.com/revalver-amp-models Other sale prices.... The Producer Pack is still $59.99 (from $149.99) https://www.audiomediaresearch.com/revalver-bundles The Stompboxes are mostly $3.99 (from $7.99). https://www.audiomediaresearch.com/revalver-stompbox-models Effect Models $4.99 (from $8.99). https://www.audiomediaresearch.com/revalver-effect-models Cabinet Models $4.99 (from $8.99). https://www.audiomediaresearch.com/revalver-cabinet-models Instrument Models $2.99 (from $4.99). https://www.audiomediaresearch.com/amp-store-instrument-models Amp Clones $2.99 (from $5.99). https://www.audiomediaresearch.com/amp-store-amp-clones David Ellefson Bundle $15.99 (from 29.99). https://www.audiomediaresearch.com/revalver-artist-bundles
  8. The latest Unify livestream from John (some good stuff on Cthulu and Audio Damage Continua). It's nearly 2 hours but John's enthusiasm makes the time fly by Enjoyed the bit where he controls the Cthulu pattern using a knob
  9. I already own the Kontakt versions of Megamagic Guitars and Megamagic Bells and Winds. I noticed from the demo that Unify includes samples that are already in MM Guitars. So that got me wondering how many of the samples/patches in Unify are shared with MM Guitars or MM Bells and Winds? Would I end up with lots of duplicates of what I already own within that 2.5Gb sample set? I emailed John about it and this was the reply I received... I still haven't jumped in but I might do yet if the FOMO or FOBASS don't get me first!
  10. Thanks Larry for the original post and John K for the reminder. It seems to run fine on my PC (I7-3770 with 16Gb RAM). With the demo version loaded in Kontakt (in CbB) and very little else running 4.6Gb of my 16Gb of RAM is in use. CPU utilisation is between 15 to 20% across all cores (in Task Manager, CbB showed much lower) but I did notice the odd spike on individual cores. That said it ran without any glitches, freezes or crashes for me. It's worth noting that the snapshots are installed separately... This creates a list of 150 snapshots although they are unimaginatively named Maldives 1 to 150. This gives a lot more variety in sound although, as expected, they are still in the same genre of evolving cinematic sounds. Overall I really like the demo but I already have so many similar libraries that the full library is not worth it for me but YMMV so try the demo if you are wondering. UPDATE: I just closed everything and ran the test again and this time the RAM usage jumped straight to 12.7Gb! Removing Kontakt in CbB caused the RAM usage to drop to 3.4Gb. Not sure what's happening there as it was definitely 4.6Gb the first time I ran it and that may explain the results John K got with 8Gb of RAM. So It looks like there may be an issue with how it allocates RAM. UPDATE2: I just ran a few memory usage tests starting with Windows 10 running and then adding CbB, Kontakt, Muze Demo and then snapshots. Win 10 -- 3.6Gb RAM used CbB blank project -- 3.8Gb CbB Kontakt 6 added to a track -- 4.1Gb Muze demo added to Kontakt -- 4.4Gb Select snapshot in Muze demo -- 12.8Gb!!
  11. Agreed it does seem odd. Surely they could come up with some kind of location based warning. ?
  12. You can only see them if you are in the US or by using a VPN outside of the US Piotr. The only issue then is that they either won't ship to Europe or the cost is prohibitive. It's why I have got used to automatically ignoring GC and MF deals (unless they are software downloads - although I wish I had moved quicker with that Output Portal deal ).

Sad, sad news. A true legend ?

This is amazing and so original! The slime mold in the video is kind of eerie and spooky and I love the way it pulsates to the beat. Cool riff which helps to give it a kind of unstable feel. The guitar in the chorus had a kind of Audioslave vibe to my ears. Enjoyed it a lot. Great work!
  16. I'll also wait for a sale on Triton. I have had M1 and Wavestation for a while on IOS but I finally picked up the Windows versions in the sale. Although the UIs are small they aren't so bad on a 28 inch FHD monitor.
  17. It expires on 14th January. For some reason they put this in the survey request email but not in the email with the $5 reward... "This gift certificate will work site wide allowing you to get an even deeper discount on any already discounted deal and will expire on January 14th."
  18. I noticed that some of the courses are streaming for free on certain dates e.g. https://www.creativelive.com/class/flawless-vocals-recording-editing-mixing-kris-crummett/lessons/freepreview-what-makes-a-flawless-vocal https://www.creativelive.com/class/studio-pass-joey-sturgis https://www.creativelive.com/class/eq-master-class-graham-cochrane https://www.creativelive.com/class/studio-pass-tommy-rogers-jamie-king https://www.creativelive.com/class/studio-pass-periphery-with-adam-nolly-getgood-matt-halpern https://www.creativelive.com/class/studio-pass-w-steve-evetts-ben-weinman https://www.creativelive.com/class/studio-pass-sylvia-massy May be of use to some. You click on RSVP to book it and it also lets you add it to your Google (or other) calendar. There may be others.

    NAMM2020

Would be great to see what EzBass has to offer. Also interested in any new Fender guitars and the Korg Wavestate.
  20. Nice thanks Larry. Might go for the Toontrack one. Still deciding.
  21. Just had an email stating that there's 48 hours left on the ReValver bundles sale.
  22. I have found these two KVR threads useful for finding out about license transfer policies... https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=354654 https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=520503 Not sure whether they cover full account transfers but might be worth a look.
  23. Useful, thanks Larry. For Windows users the location (on my system at least) to copy the file to is ... C:\Program Files\PreSonus\Studio One 4\Scripts
  24. Already have FX2 Elite which is pretty great but at last a decent price to upgrade from Amp Pro 2 to Elite. Also got 20% on the wheel. Can't decide on any of the expansions though. Celestion Classic Pack seems to come with Amp Elite but I am also tempted by the Celestion Modern Vintage Pack. Cheers Larry.
