  1. Even with VAT it's a heck of a deal! If only I had an "iron" will but alas it got to me!
  2. Just a quick heads-up when I tried it code SPRING10 seems to be single use.
  3. Cheers Larry! Picked up a few of these in the last sale and there seem to be a few new ones which are tempting me this time. No brainers at this price!
  4. You need to install Komplete Kontrol which comes with the free Komplete Start. (<-- links embedded in the words). It will then scan all of your plugins and their presets (including NKS patches like these Waldorf ones). You just need to make sure that the plugin VST folder location is included in the scanning locations in Preferences (see below). For me this was in C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins\

  6. I think it was a quiz question that came up once. Didn't realise RW was with them that long though! All I can recall of the Strawbs was watching Lay Down on Top of the Pops and wishing I was the cool guy playing the Les Paul ? I didn't realise they used a Mellotron though. I will have to check out some of their albums.
  7. The built-in ones seem to be called rather unimaginatively "Factory '84" then a number from 001 to 128. However, I also found some different patch banks in NKS format here... C:\Program Files (x86)\Waldorf\PPG Wave 2.V\nks_ContentDir\presets These can be used with Komplete Kontrol and some of these patches actually have descriptive names. Some of the folders have 128 patches and some less but even so that's another 800 plus (852 to be precise) presets to play with! EDIT: Just checking out those Michael Johnson presets. Some excellent ones!
  8. Takes me back! Didn't Rick Wakeman play for them at some point?

  10. I have R4 and Nimbus that came with the iZotope bundle (not to mention lots of others). So from the above comments I can't work out whether I need this or not. ? I'm erring on the side of not bothering as I already have the PB freebie.
  11. Yes I use them all the time, especially Velocity and Transpose.

Fair enough. I assume that one creates an account by buying something as I cannot see any other way and I only have your free (and excellent) plugin pack otherwise?
  13. Cheers Larry! Do they REALLY mean that you have to un-install previous versions before installing the update and then re-activate it? That seems unusual in this day and age.

Good point Grem. I would also like to know.

Ah of course Mr Anderton I'm guessing; sorry I was being a bit slow ?
  17. Done! Couldn't resist any longer at that price

You can download a demo from the product page on the right hand side. I had a quick play and it seems good but I want to explore the MIDI options a bit more.

Yes it seems to do something very similar although I don't have a Frequout pedal (yet) my sustainer pickup produces similar results! Love that "Flying a Blue Dream"-esque demo in the above playlist.

It's not something I use all the time but when I do it's either for infinite sustain (similar to an e-bow) e.g. for legato runs or for re creating acoustic feedback on an overdriven sound. The sustainer pickup also lets you switch in feedback on a different harmonic which mimics what can happen in a live situation. From the brief play I had with AcouFiend it is able to cover those scenarios to some extent and is also MIDI controllable.

It seems pretty nice Soundwise. Excuse my ignorance as to who CA is but she/he must be inspired! Found this.. I have a Burny Les Paul with a sustainer pickup which I really like but would like to be able to do what it does on other guitars. Mesh convinced me to go for the Digitech pedal but I wondered if there was a software equivalent. I searched but drew a blank.... Until now!

Could this be the effect I have been looking for? (VST equivalent of a Freqout pedal by Digitech). Demoing it now. Any thoughts @cclarry or @Mesh?

    Wadorf LE

@Sidney Earl Goodroe When I received the order it came from admin@waldorfmusic.com I don't know if there's a real person on the receiving end of that but it might be worth a shot.
  24. My guess ... $99 opening and full price $119. Can't wait to hear you (stand and) deliver that tribute album, Simon. ?
