  1. @User 905133 - What "loophole" was plugged?  You cannot choose something you already have, that's been the way since the start.  If you have something as part of a bundle, you can choose that because those are not and have not been considered duplicates (only specific purchases of said product count as duplicates) from the beginning.  What you are replying to is also not a loophole in any way, nor has it changed.

The only things that have changed were additional products being added as entry points or free choices.

7 day grace Period on IK?

Does this mean, one could buy something today at the IK-Store, and when it's hardware and gets delivered from IK next tuesday or so, it is still possible to register it on tuesday and get the 25 free stuff? Or does this only work for buying in an actual store, if someone wants to squeak in?

    Just asking for a friend...

Yes, we have the grace period noted on the group buy page too but you can buy from us and still get in on it when you receive your qualifying hardware.  IK Support will take care of you at that time.

So yes, squeak on in!  Software too :)

You mean, talent is required too? Rats. I was hoping for a shortcut to FAME and glory.

You and me both.  You can find me exclaiming "but Wilson Pickett stood right there!!!" when I'm not feeling in the zone.

I just saw this. Classic. I would like to see IK do a British studio .

Yes, me too.  I have also tried to get some discussion around finding a way to even do some defunct studios like LeStudio but obviously that's far more difficult.

    You devil you

If I still lived in NJ, sure, there's some devil lore (and requisite pro sports team based on said lore) but now it would be more ghosts or pirates (which are actually combined for our upcoming new hockey team the "Ghost Pirates" - no lie, that's what they went with).

Hey @Peter - IK Multimedia, thanks for all your help during this group buy. Mucho appreciated!

You're welcome, happy to help.  Thanks to everybody for spreading the word and for the "friendly" competition about Fred length.

Will be more when the last minute hardware shoppers register their new  toys!

@Peter - IK Multimedia   Can you post the final tally in a couple of weeks :D

We'll definitely be reminding people that they should register that hardware as soon as they receive it!  Also, hopefully some people realize that they technically could still purchase qualifying hardware in an actual store (like the Guitar Center opening in my backyard - Savannah, GA - this week) if they want to squeak in.

That's what I had been doing. I have been using Amplitube 5 CS version 5.2.0 and I had been going into the Custom shop to restore my gear, but to no avail.

I also realized that I had the same issue with the Mesa Boogie amp head that was given away as well.

Sorry to hear that.  IK Support should be able to sort you out, though.

  8. Make sure you have the latest AmpliTube with the built-in Custom Shop and go to Account --> Restore My Purchases.

If you hadn't had AmpliTube installed before you picked up the free amp, make sure it is authorized in IK Product Manager.  You could even unauthorize and then re-authorize there if you want, though I believe the previous suggestion will work.

If for whatever reason you are running a previous version, you can follow the first suggestion but using the then-separate Custom Shop application to do the Restore My Purchases function.

Well that and very persistent frequent white noise that makes the demo close to worthless.

It is supposed to only do this after a trial, but I did this with at least 7 products, even while keeping custom shop and install manager open.

    YMMV

Our demos don't have white noise.  Your mileage varied because you were experiencing abnormal behavior.  I'm sure our support team can sort your issue out.  It is not fair to say "that and very persistent frequent white noise" when it isn't at all part of the demo process and doesn't happen when the process is working as expected on someone's system (as is the rule rather than the exception which you seem to have experienced).

@Steve PatrickOl Pal this is interesting. I bought the DI thingy last year and it came with a free Amp 5 license. I was able to select Amp 5 as a freebie, now I can sell the DI and still have Amp 5. I would check with support, maybe @Peter - IK Multimediacould let us know if there is a way to add second licenses.

If it is greyed out you are not able to choose it again as you and others are correct that bundled/collection/etc items won't be greyed out though.

a good friend hasn't had the time to go to the store and buy a physical product (the deal would be worthless for him without an interface) and it has gotten to the point that a shipment would be far to risky to not make the registration deadline.

Note this on the group buy page:

"WHAT HAPPENS IF MY QUALIFYING HARDWARE PURCHASE DOESN’T ARRIVE IN TIME?
We’re offering a general 1-week grace period following the close of the Group Buy to register your qualifying hardware purchase. Or, if you receive your unit after that window ends, please register via the IK Product Manager and then contact our support team with your proof of purchase"

    Grabbed Amplitube

Choosed already Modo Drum and Sample tron 2 , worth of those alone , Sampletank is too heavy with GB can we install only the app or the SE is already like the big one without library ?

Another Question @Peter - IK Multimedia i installed demo of B3 and modo drums , do i need ot re install or authorise demo is exactly like the full thing ?

Thks and much love to IK with all those deals around , this one makes them looks like mainstream media ...lol

You can authorize and it will unlock/register/authorize those products fully and correctly.

  12. @Grem Glad it worked out, we're definitely looking forward to next year to continue to make improvements and hopefully have a deal that can at least match this one if not surpass it.  We're going to need to figure out how to give that one lucky 2022 Group Buy participant their free @InstrEd (and only give a free MIDI controller to another random person, plus whoever wins InstrEd will have to show proof they have no MIDI controllers at all and sign a contract agreeing to not buy or receive on for at least one year).

Asking a question here because I'm hoping one of you will know, especially @Peter - IK Multimedia

I have a Presets question:  I spent some time exploring and playing around with the standalone versions of these two plugins and started savingsome Presets when I had some sounds I liked, thinking I would just pull them up in my DAW and use them.  But the presets don't show up in the plugin versions in my DAW.

I see that there is a separate folder for "Rack" vs "Effect" in the Presets folders, but manually copying the preset from one to the other didn't make it show up either. (?)   What am I missing?   Are the Presets interchangeable between the standalone and the plugin versions of these two plugins?

Your presets should be available in both standalone and DAW plugin versions of our products.  If you are using model presets you would right click the model and choose there, but that doesn't seem to be the issue from what I can tell anyway.  I'd suggest providing details about your DAW and which IK products/presets you are having issues with to support and I'm sure they can figure it out.  9/10 it is about file permissions when it comes to presets and the like.

AT 4  clocks in at around 4 seconds to open ...AT 5 takes 2 whole mins to open  ...( it sure felt like an eternity too me )

I know this because I just did a screen record while opening  both applications up from the desktop ...in succession

This whole BS of if it's happening to you but you don't report it means things are OK does not fly with me ......Run that $hit on somebody that is Green ...

To my knowledge there are at least 5 other people here I have interacted with in this thread today that are experiencing ridiculous CPU hogging while trying to use AT5 ....

Did you or Did you not Made Bank w this group buy ? .... I guessing you did so please fix the problems w this app .

Going back to AT 4 as a solution ? I don't think so. Some one else's  idea of temporary and my idea of temporary are probably totally different ?

Yeah I get it , so this thread may not be the main approach to look or get help ...Yeah Right ! ..

Well in that case maybe I should just post my video up on u tube first as my unbiased review of Amplitube 5 and then go to support after I do that ?

    Kenny

I understand you are frustrated but you seem quite aggressive toward me and/or IK.  Just trying to help.  I didn't know that pointing someone to the right place to report an issue to get fixed was a bad thing.  Learn something new every day.  You are welcome to post wherever you want, but the only thing that might get fixed with that is your frustration and likely only temporarily.

I'm also confused by this apparent connection/obsession with IK "making bank" with this promotion.  That does not and has never had anything to do with supporting our customers.  We always have and always will.  We also have indeed "made bank" on a regular basis or we wouldn't be celebrating 25 years in business but again I don't know that has anything to do with an issue you are having with one of our products or the effectiveness of any resolution to that problem.

If you open a ticket you can likely get to experience AmpliTube 5 like others here whose experience is a much faster opening and overall smooth experience.  Others may have noticed some irregular/high CPU usage and of course that can and should be reported too.  The support team takes their jobs seriously and will gather data from multiple people who report an issue, try to recreate it and (most important) assess any similarity/common threads (pun intended) of a problem and get it resolved for those who are having it.  A trackable support system that allows a company's support staff to gather and share data is much more effective a means to resolving issues than finding posts and making guesses based on scattered information.

Either way, I'm sure any issue can be resolved and if anybody has opened a ticket and they are not satisfied with how it is going or needs me to bump someone for some clarification I can and surely will.  I'm willing to help and I do understand that frustration can result in aggression so just let me know if and when you do need/want my assistance if you haven't had luck with the support system.

    Thanks!

5 minutes? Wow! That is ridiculous... ?

More like 15 seconds here... but it's still a CPU hog!

That's also something to report to the team as that is clearly an indication of an issue and AmpliTube 5 takes far less time to load for others so it is likely something the team can identify and help with.

  16. 2 hours ago, Jacques Boileau said:

    Until they resolve this...

As long as anybody experiencing this reports it.  This is not the expected behavior, and should only appear when you are demoing gear.  I am not experiencing this even when I'm not logged in or am logged in with an account that is missing gear, on both Windows and macOS.  So I'm sure the team can get this resolved for anybody experiencing it.
