I updated when seeing this post No portal or synth updates for me today and I have V Collection 8 and a few FXs The Nov 25 update was a big one and updated the portal too.

My guess is most DAWs have a sample-based synth with guitar samples. Just like MC, it is not obvious from the name that CSC had guitar samples. Then there are GM synths. These too have guitar presets.

I assumed the question was about their data path as DX plug-ins are host bitness specific.

All the project templates installed with the DAW have a master bus. To create a master bus insert a bus in the bus pane right-click on the bus select "Set as Default bus" select all the tracks while holding down the CTRL key, click on one of the audio/instrument track output drop downs and select the bus

There is a setting in Preferences but I prefer to use a directory junction. For example, 1. In Windows Explorer, move "C?Cakewalk Projects" to D:\ 2. Open a command shell as administrator and type mklink /j "C:\Cakewalk Projects" "D:\Cakewalk Projects"

I just checked the delay and it shows 64bit I'll leave the rest as an exercise. See here for how I determined the plug-in uses 64bit communication.

Some versions of SONAR included AAS Strum Session, Dimension Pro had some guitar programs (some were included in Cakewalk Sound Center), so did Rapture and Rapture Session probably did too, I can't say for sure as I have Rapture Pro with definitely has guitar programs.

Here's all you need to know about installing SONAR & CbB on a new machine. The only new bit is the Cakewalk Web Installer.

Run it and see You can cancel out of it anytime But do it after installing all the old Cakewalk stuff first.

Cakewalk Command Center only works with Cakewalk product installers written in 2014 through 2017. There is no need to install BandLab Assistant. The Cakewalk Web Installer will install the current version of CbB which an in-app update process.

Check the Windows Event log.

If the user theme does not modify the button, no change is required. User themes contain only the images and color changes from Mercury. If the theme contains a modified archive button and is not updated, the button will not display correctly.

To independently adjust a control that is grouped, hold down the CTRL key while making the adjustment.

AKA audio scaling.
