Here's a good one I've installed everything up to and including Platinum, mostly through the CCC However, I can't see the Blue Tubes suite that were bundled with X3 & Splat I've only done a minimum installation of X3 but installed everything from Splat. Any ideas?

I'm with John. Normalize is the wrong tool for this type of problem. Compression is definitely the way to go

Back to my original topic ? At last I'm ready to start the migration to the new Windows 10 drive I've found all my old installers & downloads from the CCC so good to go on that front A question regarding sample based VSTi's Many of the instruments that I use, Rapture Pro, BFD2, EWQLSO etc already have their samples & loops installed They are on my D drive which is visible to the Windows 7 & Windows 10 environments i don't want to have to install them all again, so is there an easy way just to get the dll's installed and then point them to where the data is? Thanks in advance

You will find that many plugins have a "Sweet Spot" where they only function properly over a narrow range of inputs Drive it too hot and it distorts. Don't drive it hard enough and it sounds wimpy and prone to noise Using the input gain is a good way (and for those plugins without their own input gain, the only way) to get the plugin to respond in a "musical" way This is part of a larger topic known as gain staging, where the gain of your signal is controlled tightly from input all the way through to your monitors Read up on gain staging and it will invariably start by talking about input gain

The best advice I would give is to uninstall everything Then install Splat including all the goodies ,then install CbB Splat will take a LOT longer for the full installation compared to CbB

No problem there I do not have X2 in CCC, but I *do* have the original installer .exe I only need X2 for a handful of plugins + V-Vocal Is it necessary to install the updates to X2 (was it X2A?) or will the base installation suffice I do not intend to use X2 for any project related work Thanks
