  1. Open up Preferences (P) under File > VST settings hit Reset followed by Scan This should populate your vst's accurately
  2. I'm not entirely sure what your issues is - the misunderstanding is almost certainly my fault - but could it simply be you've hidden the Control Bar? Hitting 'c' will toggle it on/off
  3. The important thing is to make sure you only switch PP on/off when the mic is connected via it's XLR. If you try "hot swapping" it you could fry the mic's internals.
  4. I'm trying it on my laptop - no mouse involved, just using the left part of the track pad to scrub
  5. Not seeing this behaviour here. Scrub works fine in the prv on a midi track, switch to Track View and no freezing, even with the scrub tool still enabled. The only thing I would say is that scrub doesn't seem to work on audio tracks, just midi. But definitely no freezing/crashing when switching views
  6. Laugh all you want, it's still debatable
  7. This thread is over 4 years old. Things have changed since then. The new Export Module has a lot more flexibility
  8. Check that you haven't inadvertently hit the "pause" key on your computer keyboard
  9. That's bit of a weird one. My start screen is fine on both Win 10 and the latest Win 11 update (Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621) If it makes a difference - this is Windows 11 Home edition
  10. In that case I would HIGHLY recommend recording "dry". Just leave enough headroom so you don't clip on the way in. Aim for peaks somewhere in the -6dB to -12dB range.
  11. After One further point which might or might not have been addressed above - unless you are really comfortable setting compessor thresholds, ratio, attack & release, you might end up damaging an otherwise perfect take. With the inherent headroom of 24 bit recording you don't NEED to commit to "tape" so early in the process. Your mileage may vary
  12. Keep the Ctrl key held down whilst you adjust one of the selected tracks
  13. I've read this 3 or 4 times and I can make out if there's a question being asked or not
  14. Right, now click here to open the EQ up fully
  15. 2 questions: 1 - is this the final release of CbB? 2 - does it require 2022.11 to be installed prioer to upgrading? Thanks
  16. Well after jumping through many hoops, I've got an updated version of CDA installed on my laptop. This was done via the Sony & Magix websites, after digging through decade old emails to find my serial number. I can't test it because there's no CD burner on the laptop Next step is - can I replicate this "success" on my studio machine Stay tuned ?
  17. Click the W button on your Fx plugin. Play the project and make the adjustments you want whilst it plays ClickW again to stop Writing. Go into Track View, locate the bus you've just automated and you'll see the moves you just made. These can be freely edited, like any other envelope
  18. Hi Nigel. No, I never saw that, but if it's at all possible to get CDA working then I'd rather do that. Thanks!
  19. Hi all Is anyone still burning CD's? The reason I ask is that up until now, I've always used CD architect but it's become really flakey running on Win 10 and I would like a suitable alternative Something that will let me import an entire album, insert track markers and assign track names, album name, production credits etc As ever, the internet can be a complete lottery with many hits leading to dodgy sites and other dubious links Free or paid, makes no difference to me, but hopefully anything that comes with a price should provide suitable after sales service Thanks
