Have you tried signing out and back in again?

Are your VST's in the same path(s) that are referenced in the scan dialog?

Did they say no? Or did they say they're undecided? And collecting data?

I would have the thought it's obvious. They are waiting to see how many people sign up for the current Backstage Pass before they can decide on the resulting pricing structure. That's what I would ahve done if I was in charge.

Function wise it's practically the same. There are a few new features - Mike Enjo has done a summary of these on his Creative Sauce page. But the gui is now based on vector graphics which at the moment aren't 3D, which a lot of users don't like. I happen to like it. After a few days working with it I came to appreciate the clean lines everywhere.

Why not? Autosave has bitten me more than once. Just get into the habit of hitting ctrl + s frequently

Importing a track from a CD into Sonar will grab hold of the wav at 16bit 44.1KHz. By its very nature it will be lossless. It's at full CD resolution. There is no other software in play to convert it to anything else

If you're importing directly from a CD they are bound to be lossless

I would have thought 32Gb of RAM woul be enough to absolutely EAT any project. This is exactly what I've got and my CPU barely shows anything even when running a fully loaded 135 track Orchestral project.

Exactly what I do. Remember to route it directly to your main outs, bypassing any mastering Fx.
