  1. It's good to display them as this confirms CbB knows they're there. Scrolling L 2 R is necessary but up & down only if CV is vertically less than 1/2 screen.
  2. +1. Even though I rarely adjust them, they don't really need to scroll at all.
  3. PRV - When Ripple Edit is set to "ALL" and you... 1. Ctrl+drag to copy a MIDI clip straight down to another track, all other MIDI clips and the Markers get moved to the end of the song. Only the Arranger track and the new copied clip retain their original start positions. 2. Copy/Paste a clip into a new track at the same start position, all other MIDI clips and the Markers AND the Arranger track get moved to the end of the song. Only the new copied track retains its original start position. 3. Lock clip positions & data, only the clips retain their original positions. Markers & Arranger track get moved to the end of the song. Is this expected behavior as I'm not deleting anything or moving anything relative to time?
  4. One of those hidden gems most people don't know or often use. Console View > Options > FX > Show Assignable Controls Which also affects most of the Console text. Actually you can just close & reopen a project while leaving CbB open will do the trick. Theme color vs. Preference color setting. Theme will prevail until color changed in Preferences, which will then prevail.
  5. Ability to rename a marker in the Control Bar module by double-clicking its name.
  6. As Lyrics View can be Multidocked, I'd like to see it updated a bit with background color. font color (TE) and font sizing choices.
  7. This can fill up screen real-estate real quick. Having one MIDI track simplifies work flow and saves the planet screen space while editing.
  8. Seems like a bug here. Selecting only MIDI should display MIDI tracks, but nothing is displayed while selecting only Audio displays both Audio and Soft Synth tracks. Instrument tracks are a combo of MIDI and soft synth tracks. Not sure how you'd separate them for this. A 4th option for Soft Synth tracks maybe??

    GoTo?

    This thread may help??
  10. We sometimes forget the very complex "Skylight Interface" was originally never intended to be changeable.
  11. Yes. Those could be color swatches under Inspectors if available. There are many roadblocks to theming CbB because several aspects of the "Skylight Interface" remain unchangeable, and probably will for a long time. ? Some of those aspects can be extracted from the TTSImage file, but changing them would affect all themes. Not desirable unless you only use one theme.
  12. ... I totally forgot I had replied to this post. Even after reading my replies I still don't remember. @msmcleod & grem, I didn't mean to sound snarky, just thinking out loud, I guess.
  13. Hey Limu, How great is it that we get to tell everybody how Cakewalk lets you customize your Daw and never pay for what you need?
  14. I see by SK's screenshot that there's still an issue displaying the Folder data screen. Sonar did this on occasion with my older systems. With CbB on my newest laptop, I haven't seen it until now.... The data screen fades from right to left.
  15. I think having the Grid Lines extend into the Tempo Track and adding Vertical Snap would be nice. Currently with Grid Lines and Snap turned on, you can zoom in a little and locate/relocate horizontal Tempo points fairly easily as-is. Setting Vertical points is another story requiring the right-click/Properties window or using the Inspector to set accurately.
  16. I think you can just hit "W" once to get to a loop's beginning point.
  17. Turned on my Behringer UFX1204 mixer/interface and found one channel creating a high pitched sine wave. No inputs were active. I powered the mixer OFF and back ON but the sound was still there. The EQ section has an On/OFF switch which was ON, so I turned it off and the sound quit. Turned it back on and all was good. Seems one of the EQ pots was generating the noise. I've never seen this happen before on any mixer/interface.
  18. I've forgotten everything I learned. Good thing I still remember there's a forum... ?
  19. Nice. That "expanse" you speak of used to be reserved for Sonar version labeling ("SONAR X1", etc.). I use it for theme name labeling.
  20. One issue I have with changing colors at the clip level is every time you bounce one, it reverts to the default colors forcing you to repeat the changes.
  21. What would happen if the actual bmp was missing from it's folder or misnamed?
  22. There is ongoing discussions about these issues. Killing the process in TM never works for me. You're right about Cake not wanting to share audio devices. I only use an outboard interface with CbB, but it won't open at all even if another application is already using the onboard sound.
  23. Sir... Please go to Preferences > Customization > Colors and select Color Category: Piano Roll View. Next find and change colors to: PRV Black Keys Background (Db/Eb) (double set of black keys) PRV Black Keys Background (Gb/Ab/Bb) (triple set of black keys) PRV Grid Background (white keys & CC Pane) Click OK All set. Save the color set for easy recall. Contrary to the description, these do NOT change the actual key colors but the PRV background they represent. You can also change the entire color set to Normal3 for a light PRV. Can I get a barrel of Root Beer sent to my virtual address instead???
  24. Problem is, it doesn't open so it's not in memory or listed in Task Manager. Windows Report.wer file may have clues? If so, I have 68 of 'em from 11/1/20 to 5/9/21. Report.wer
