  1. "Requests" - yes. "Changes" - no. Bug fixes are still being made... we just got one today. Any requests I assume will go toward Sonar tho you can also post them in the Sonar forum.
  2. The 1202 doesn't have USB but you can pass it thru the 18i20 to work with your DAW, tho it's a little convoluted.
  3. Never seen that and can't reproduce it. Could be a system video issue?? FWIW my Aim line still freeze hangs on screen where it doesn't belong when switching views. Old bug still happening.
  4. Thanks, actually tried that but didn't work... Will try it again.
  5. They're good for the price but you really have to research things nowadays to know what you're getting. Go thru the manual and watch video reviews. No FX returns and cutting out input gain seem to be common anymore. FX returns usually require a stereo input channel forcing you to by a bigger mixer. Like most USB mixers, the ProFX only has 2 channel USB for the main output, so can't multitrack with it.
  6. Overall it's as good as any current mixer, but this Onyx is not the Onyx of old. You may or may not see this but under certain uses there's serious crosstalk between channels that shouldn't be there. I like Gain on all channels but these only have Gain for Line level inputs on 4 channels. Greg Mackie sold out in 2003 and it looks like the company was sold again in 2023 so it's not really the same company anymore. Greg has since collab'ed with Korg to make another mixer. https://www.korg.com/us/products/drs/mw_2408_1608/
  7. The old Onyx models were much better than the current generation but are now obsolete being firewire only. Had they just converted to USB they'd be the top of my list.
  8. That's kinda what happened to my Behringer so I replaced it with the Onyx which is still working fine after a year or so. It lacks the features I want but all current multitrack mixers lack something so it's always a compromise. Now discontinued, the Behringer had everything - if it were built to pro standards it would still be #1 here.
  9. Seems all scans are normal so probably just a Toast thing. With a years worth of scans it took 2-3 minutes to load Vstscan.log in Notepad. Time to clean or archive it.
  10. I was going to include that exact sentiment but cut out a lot to keep it shorter. Old and new code sometimes don't play well together, not that anything is wrong with either one.
  11. Background scan times vary even with same project. But sometimes the Toast message will hang with "Scanning..." and never change. Don't know if it's a scan issue or Toast issue. Does this happen with new Sonar?
  12. CbB with loaded project sitting idle: Wiggling mouse back & forth in Track View: Project playing: Happens when Performance Module set to System Performance or Overall App Performance. Apparently wiggling mouse uses more resources than 40 track project in motion.
  13. Can we add images to the question? If not can the forum be updated to do so?
  14. It's kind of moot if someone quotes you first. Tho that's never stopped me.
  15. Mostly from poorly written code or code that's incompatible with other code inside or outside it's immediate realm, as has recently been reported. But anyway, this is a request/report forum. Users can request/report whatever they want. A better requesting approach would be to use a Yay or Ney Poll which few if any have tried yet. This would avoid needless backfeed and show the devs how popular the idea is. Why THIS forum lacks a Star Rate Number Voting system when it should have one... and the Q&A forum has one but isn't used or needed... is a mystery.
  16. My drivers group mixer inputs in pairs. This allows one to record separate mono tracks or one stereo track: Onyx In 1/2 L = Left or channel 1 of the mixer. This records MONO from mixer channel 1 only - regardless of what's plugged into channel 2. Mixer Pan is ignored. Onyx In 1/2 R = Right or channel 2 of the mixer. This records MONO from mixer channel 2 only. Mixer Pan is ignored. Onyx In 1/2 S = Stereo or both channels. This records both channels into one track. Set mixer Pan for channel 1 hard left and channel 2 hard right for stereo recording. Set both mixer Pans to center for both mics recording a MONO track. Set both mixer Pans hard left or right if you want both mics recording to the same side of the track. If each mixer channel was set to one driver input you would not be able to record a stereo signal into one track unless you used the mixer's Main stereo output to the track input, which would record everything you hear coming out of the mixer.
  17. I use "Friendly Names" and renamed mine Onyx In 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, etc. In track input dropdown they look like: Onyx In 1/2 L (left) Onyx In 1/2 R (right) Onyx In 1/2 S (stereo) The shorter the name, the more legible they are in Console View
  18. Not long ago CB SOLO was also not included for Busses until someone requested it. Why MUTE wasn't included then IDK.
  19. Currently in the Inspector default double-wide view, a Simple Instrument track can toggle between Synth and MIDI strip by the lower Audio/MIDI buttons. But when you shrink Inspector to single-wide view to increase screen space, the Audio/MIDI buttons disappear with no apparent way to toggle the strips. Request to add buttons or menu selection feature in the Display drop-down to do it.
  20. If I could add to #1: "Cakewalk" synths automatically insert an icon in the Synth Rack but not on the synth/instrument Track/Strip - would be nice if it did. The MIDI track I often use a different icon.
