I only have the Solid State Logic ones, so I can't compare. But I would venture that most family members and friends listening to our mixes couldn't tell the difference in sound between the Waves ones, the Solid State Logic ones or even the Pro Channel's EQ E and G mode! I think its all in our minds! ? I`ll go take a coffee now...

These are made by Waves not by Solid State Logic themselves.

Agree with others... and is it just me or the bass drum distort? It may be voluntary, distortion is used a lot these days, but it does not please me. In fact the track feels pushed to the limit and it feels pumping and distorting too much.

MT Power Drum Kit 2 By Manda Audio Is Now FREE!
Jacques Boileau replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
This has been available free for a few years. That video dates back to 2018, when I first got it. But thanks to Larry it made me check and it was updated. I had 2.0.9 and it is now 2.1. It is also a good reminder for newcomers. This is a very good, fully processed, rock drum kit, if that is what you need. It will save you time since you won't need much additional processing. If you are starting out doing rock in your DAW, you should give it a try. -
You thought this was invented by Emerson or Wakeman

My 3 year old grand-daughter could easily do that too... but it might not sound the same thought! ? -

Yes. At least for me that link takes me to my account's bundle software, which includes the ProTools stuff as the last two items. I have a 2nd generation. -

Forever! ?? -
If you change the currency to US$ it is $29, which is cheaper than 29 Euros.

I'm mixed up too... ?
-
Wow! I still have a sustainer but not working. Probably cheaper to buy this than repair my unit!
-
Its Beat magazine that had the AAS freebies not Computer Music. ?

I still mix with my Beyerdynamic DT 880 S, which are at least 40 years old! I am more into open back headphones for 2 reasons: they are known to have a better sound field than closed back and with them I can hear life around me, like door bell, phone, etc. I do have cheap Monoprice closed back for tracking vocal and acoustic guitar. I guess newer models should sound better so I asked Santa for some. My wife gave me the new Beyerdynamic DT-900-PRO-X, but I am still waiting for them to arrive. No stock here yet.

Anyone know when will the Audio Deluxe 'Holiday21' coupon will end?
-
Hum... I don't see it on sale on SSL website...
-
Anyone know how it compares to IK's Saturator-X?
-
And another SSL for a twenty! Seems they will go around all the native serie.

Kush on hearing loss [UPDATE 1-5-22].
Jacques Boileau replied to Shane_B.'s topic in The Coffee House
Great news @Shane_B.! I started a few months before you and have tinnitus and high frequency loss. I can't tell if NAD+ has improved things, but if it at least slowed things down, it would be good. I have done some internet quick test, but since I didn't do one before starting NAD+ I have noting to compare. I'll try again in a few months. But at least I would venture saying the tinnitus is less bothersome. One area I did see a dramtic effect is with hair. I used to have tons of hairs on my pillow every morning. Since starting NAD+, there is not a single hair on my pillow in the morning and barely one or two when I shower. The area on the back of my head that was thinning feels fuller. Didn't expect that, but hey, no complaints! -
I'll take a listen, but since I am a guitarist it may not be complementary to it. Although I do have Strum session 2 Acoustic Guitar. Probably a freebie some time ago.
