I would assume it's their VST3 that is doing that. All of my DAWs choke on them, even their finisher plugins. Too bad developers don't have options in the Windows start menu to bypass plugin scans.

Not sure how cables are somehow an issue these days. There's a greater chance of ruining a board installing an nvme. It has happened before. Plus you have to research which ones will work on boards 10 years old. Not so with SATA. I prefer SATA only for more ports. I like less eggs in a basket. Having an 8gb nvme go bad seems pricey than losing a f 2GB SATAs. The reality is how often do we open a system case any way.

You obviously never used NI products. On 3 systems and this has been going on for years when their updates fail which they often do for me. To get something to the latest version, they have their own registry tool which is a rebranded Windows Installer clean up, wanna talk about overkill in registry entries non is like NI.

Amazed what a pain installing.registering software is these days. Remembering passwords, 10 open tabs, is just a start. As one who has too many loops it's nice just to download ogg format. One of those titles we are not allowed to mention is a decent app when you see the youtube videos.

There are plenty of VSTs that should be stand alone - UJAM, Spire, Sylenth, I wonder if anyone has mentioned it on the Melda forum. Just like Kontakt people ignore the programming part.

Other DAWs do this as well. Anytime I install DAW software the next step is go to Preferences and select the audio. Those drivers are for Windows laptop users who don't use an audio interface. They are much better than Asio4All. Most of the audio software no matter how advanced it is always has the beginner in mind.

I still support them despite rarely using their stuff. Their weakness is in marketing on how to use their products. If you ever noticed most of the popular software there is no shortage of knowledge on how to use them. We live in an age where few read a manual anymore.
