It's also hypocrisy downloading every free plugin out there.

Licensing is ,#1 on this list. If I can't put it on 3 machines...forget it.

I have everything IK and Medla. I should use those. Oh wait maybe I should use a DAW as well. My new hoarding is tutorials. BTW I have an Axe I/O and I have yet to plug an instrument into it. SHAME! Maybe with VIs one should limit to 4tb of space. Stop buying bloated libraries. I no longer buy Kontakt synths since Spire and Serum can pretty much do that stuff along with Reason REs, The only instrument I touched today was my tuba. No DAW or amp required.

Found this https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/sonic-foundry-acid I remember when Sony, Cakewak, Magix, Voyetra where kings of the boxed software in stores. I remember buying those in boxes at Best Buy. Cakewalk Music Creator was my first by them. Then there were generous offers for Home Studio and moving up to Sonar. (it isn't like that now)

at first I thought you were talking about bitrate

Not sure how cables are somehow an issue these days. There's a greater chance of ruining a board installing an nvme. It has happened before. Plus you have to research which ones will work on boards 10 years old. Not so with SATA. I prefer SATA only for more ports. I like less eggs in a basket. Having an 8gb nvme go bad seems pricey than losing a f 2GB SATAs. The reality is how often do we open a system case any way.

too much of a rocket science for me. That's why I still use SATA.

zero cables between the motherboard, GPU, and power supply

Just think if something blows it will all go at once. -
You obviously never used NI products. On 3 systems and this has been going on for years when their updates fail which they often do for me. To get something to the latest version, they have their own registry tool which is a rebranded Windows Installer clean up, wanna talk about overkill in registry entries non is like NI.

Never understood the appeal of a sampletron but the one from IK is nice.

Aren't laptop almost like this? Comments were interesting to read. Seems like people forget what still powers the hardware world is something called legacy. Younger people who build their rigs don't get this. I guess it appeals to people that like their systems looking like a fish tank. Cable management is nice but how often do we open our cases?

MeldaProduction Analog Empire: Pads & Strings - Intro Price $9 / 9€ (or free)
kitekrazy1 replied to BTP's topic in Deals
There are plenty of VSTs that should be stand alone - UJAM, Spire, Sylenth, I wonder if anyone has mentioned it on the Melda forum. Just like Kontakt people ignore the programming part. -
Other DAWs do this as well. Anytime I install DAW software the next step is go to Preferences and select the audio. Those drivers are for Windows laptop users who don't use an audio interface. They are much better than Asio4All. Most of the audio software no matter how advanced it is always has the beginner in mind.

lemme guess- y'all had to go thru a bunch of hoops to get it
