I wouldn't plan on it.

I always think of their workstation as the likes of Sampletank. Most sounds are not on the level of a dedicated Kontakt library or even KU when it comes to orchestra. Falcon on the other hand is a much different product with plenty of possibilities. This is like UVI's Komplete. This upgrade offer at my price is not even tempting. It's not my idea of loyalty. I think the days are gone where many people are willing to spend over $500 on a single payout of software when there is plenty of music gear that don't need upgrades. There's monitors, audio interfaces, controllers, budget guitars, ect.

Well that is one thing about OT libraries. I get why they did their own player so you can buy a piece at a time. Kinda odd but the library was already installed.

when has that ever stopped anyone
-
Sine Player - no thanks.

Nope, mine is $499 and I have Falcon. That is why. For some this would be duplicate licenses. Sometime this is often an issue with some iLok software. It's rare for an extra license discount. It's the same way with VSL.
-
That' s the reality no one wants to hear. I have plenty of wave table synths and they pretty much do the same thing if you are into making music instead of sound design. I've eventually owned Serum for less by using my PB credits. If you are not into program there are plenty of great 3rd party presets.

I've had ST Max ever since there was a Max. Even before that.
-
One of these days I need to force myself to use it. I had a license ever since the early part of the century. I couldn't afford Gigastudio libraries and relied on somewhat usable ST 3rd party sounds. It also use to have an AKAI convertor. BTW you can make your own ST libraries.

So this is nothing like the Waves one? I Have it but never bothered to mess with it.

End of Windows 10 Leaves PC Charities with Tough Choice
kitekrazy1 replied to kitekrazy1's topic in The Coffee House
When XP came out it took me awhile to move from W2K. It was XP lite, Most people skipped Vista, -

Maybe they should have an "enterprise" distro. MS is for corporations 1st and home users are somewhere down the line. These always have the smell of the pro Linux. Rare to see anti Apple but always against MS. I'm still using this home built PC from 2010. My iPad from 2010 is not as useful/ I'm not sure charities take desktops and laptops anymore. Most laptops have inferior batteries to anything Apple. We live in a time where the average person is using Android or Apple. There's always the "you're not protected crowd". Isn't that always the risk anytime you boot anything up?

upgrade price of Blackhole Immersive to around $49 according to another forum so 29 and 49
-
On other forums some will tell you Immersive is better. If you buy Blackhole there might be a reasonable upgrade price.

53GB of loops - I achieved that a long time ago. Bloat is still a marketing tool.
-
But people will reject it unless there is some eye candy.

Sampletank does have a messy file structure. Kontakt rules in this. I can move their libraries anywhere.

So much of this now is becoming a rocket science. I find it confusing with these Intel cores. AMD seems easier. I still think of replacing my rarely used AMD FX6300 with an AMD 8 core 64 watt system. The reality for me is doing get carried away with wanting muscle car performance. I don't ever need to be able to run 200 tracks when I rarely reach 30. Overhead that I will never use. You have to wonder if MS doesn't change their mind with the TMP requirement when people stay on W10 past it's existence. Then there are 3rd party developers who can risk a loss with W11 as a minimum requirement. That would probably turn more people to using Reaper. No more updates from using W10 doesn't worry me. In the software world the amount bad updates seems to increase using something.

Sounds nice esoecially if one is too look for a budget build. This CPU is under $200
-
I hardly ever had that issue. They give you a choice. Removing user control in installations is getting less. Amazed how many aax get installed on a system.

It's a reality when other developers take over another code.
