  1. I've had ST Max ever since there was a Max. Even before that.
  2. One of these days I need to force myself to use it. I had a license ever since the early part of the century. I couldn't afford Gigastudio libraries and relied on somewhat usable ST 3rd party sounds. It also use to have an AKAI convertor. BTW you can make your own ST libraries.
  3. So this is nothing like the Waves one? I Have it but never bothered to mess with it.
  4. When XP came out it took me awhile to move from W2K. It was XP lite, Most people skipped Vista,

Maybe they should have an "enterprise" distro. MS is for corporations 1st and home users are somewhere down the line. These always have the smell of the pro Linux. Rare to see anti Apple but always against MS. I'm still using this home built PC from 2010. My iPad from 2010 is not as useful/ I'm not sure charities take desktops and laptops anymore. Most laptops have inferior batteries to anything Apple. We live in a time where the average person is using Android or Apple. There's always the "you're not protected crowd". Isn't that always the risk anytime you boot anything up?
  6. upgrade price of Blackhole Immersive to around $49 according to another forum so 29 and 49
  7. On other forums some will tell you Immersive is better. If you buy Blackhole there might be a reasonable upgrade price.
  8. 53GB of loops - I achieved that a long time ago. Bloat is still a marketing tool.
  9. But people will reject it unless there is some eye candy.
  10. Usually the heavy critics are guitar players. People who know an instrument well will be the toughest critics. You can demo Iron 2.
  11. Sampletank does have a messy file structure. Kontakt rules in this. I can move their libraries anywhere.
  12. So much of this now is becoming a rocket science. I find it confusing with these Intel cores. AMD seems easier. I still think of replacing my rarely used AMD FX6300 with an AMD 8 core 64 watt system. The reality for me is doing get carried away with wanting muscle car performance. I don't ever need to be able to run 200 tracks when I rarely reach 30. Overhead that I will never use. You have to wonder if MS doesn't change their mind with the TMP requirement when people stay on W10 past it's existence. Then there are 3rd party developers who can risk a loss with W11 as a minimum requirement. That would probably turn more people to using Reaper. No more updates from using W10 doesn't worry me. In the software world the amount bad updates seems to increase using something.
  13. Sounds nice esoecially if one is too look for a budget build. This CPU is under $200
  14. Looking for the best = multiple responses. The best is when you can demo them instead of listening to a recording. We have that of treating samples like they are bakery products as we have our own imaginary date of them being moldy. It also depends on your needs.
  15. I hardly ever had that issue. They give you a choice. Removing user control in installations is getting less. Amazed how many aax get installed on a system.
  16. Sometimes I don't like their bundles with two separate players. If I didn't get Fantasy Orchestra I probably would've went for Solstice but the bundle isn't that appealing. I would spend 239 just to get Solstice. Eventually a deal would come again and maybe slightly less.
  17. When I see these libraries that are synths, much of this can be done with VSTs instead of a Kontakt library,
  18. It's a reality when other developers take over another code.
  19. the listener doesn't really care what gear was used I doubt even young producers care about stuff that didn't exist when they were born. I doubt they are into analog vs. digital or tape emulations. They only way they do care is because they wandered into some forums.
  20. https://help.uaudio.com/hc/en-us/articles/14996936104468-Native-UAD-Plug-in-GUI-Blurry-or-Too-Large-on-Windows Install/Update WebView2 I've had a DAW reject that WebView2.dll UAD adds a lot of stuff to use their plugins. Great stuff but I think my life would go on if my systems is free of UAD. So I'm not a fanboy
  21. It's still there.
  22. We are so sorry for the delay in delivering your software! While most software orders process immediately, something about your order did not verify correctly. This can usually be resolved quickly during business hours. Fortunately, you do not need to submit another order for the software! We have assigned someone to investigate and personally see your order through the system. We'll contact you as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience My first fail ordering from them. Instant gratification lost.

  24. Wow a company that updates their software more than their distribution app
  25. Unfortunately I had to add that. Just another turn off of using software these days.
