  1. I think of Spitfire and VSL as boutique libraries. For one who does not need to go crazy with orchestrations these are probably great value instead of wasting money on those cheap Sonivox libraries.
  2. Still miles above Waves.
  3. Looks like Koby is no longer an EW vendor.
  4. A new release of a Mellotron or 808's just never seem to make my Wow list at any price.
  5. The sad thing is since I stopped buying Waves Koby hasn't made any money from me lately except for the latest Melodyne offer. A sign of a plugin junkie/***** is if you dislike Waves and yet get their stuff when it's free. That may have to stop.
  6. After further review of the play...........Waves is still on my shit list. Sure I got my free plugin. For their sales - As you can see it was below $50 therefore did not qualify. With that said we will make a one-time exception and honor your request. From Koby - That's definitely an error at Waves end. Waves don't know and don't care how much you actually paid. They consider THEIR price for it. Probably a one-time glitch or a mistake by your specific support person. It never occurred to our buyers before, but if it will happen again I will sort it out with them. I did let Waves know if they thought they were doing me a favor, this incident has made me even more reluctant. The exception would be $29 WUP on my Gold/Maxx licenses.
  7. Always worth supporting a developer who has a lot of trust in the end user.
  8. Not in Live. They have their own.
  9. So since I bought it from EP they acted like this: As you can see it was below $50 therefore did not qualify. With that said we will make a one-time exception and honor your request. As you know EP gives a larger discount for members and beats the others. So now I'm discouraged on these offers to buy via 3rd party. They way it should be handled is after registering on Waves and it meets their price range you should get it right away. So it's like they did me a favor but it was I who did them a favor by buying into their lame licensing. Hopefully this is the final straw for me but I'm stupid. Try kicking that football again Charlie Brown. Maybe the whole thing could have been avoided if I checked my account to find out my main email blocked Waves,
  10. Melodyne may become a thing of the past since some DAWs have something similar,
  11. Right now I'm dealing with Waves over my free plugin. EP claims that I'm eligible according to the Waves pricing model. Part of the problem is my yahoo account blocks all Waves. Maybe the free plugin got blocked. This shouldn't be that much hassle since it was registered. I paid $46 from EP. If Waves denies it, that is bad for 3rd party vendors and will sour me relationship with Waves.
  12. I love this guy's channel. I remember him reviewing MTrubo Reverb and he said he's too stupid for it.
  13. I only use this to convert audio to midi. I have had old projects that were done in Sonar and Gigastudio, I lost all of the midis to that project.
  14. They days of offline DAWs are almost gone unless it is tied to a dongle. Just like Bandlab I have free lifetime updates with FL Studio and I have to refresh activation.
  15. I've had 4 have authorization issues after 5 was released on one system and then their support mad it worse. Their licensing tilts toward "suck". While you have a 2 machine limit only one can be put on iLok. A hardware iLok seems to be a good failsafe for Melodye. I wish both authorizations can be on another iLok.
  16. LOL! Many of them still try and a lot has to do with a bundle. I think it's spot on!
  17. That's always the first thing I look for in a mix. Ugh! There's nothing worse than fake ones.
  18. Unfortunately the verbs are tied to a single use iLok. As for the rest being icing on the cake it's hard to find a gap where an Izotope Element is given away. I might got for this to upgrade my never used Stutter and maybe add the verbs to machine #3.
  19. It might be for the Stutter Edit upgrade.
  20. There's always hope that there will be some naive DAW user who thinks these deals are once in a lifetime. I think the naive ones are the "plugin brokers" at KVR.
  21. I actually bit on the Dave Aude EMP for system #3 for under $50 at EP.
