  1. Nice of you to post the strip for your @sjoens's icons.
  2. A few days ago some "expert" on TV said flipping a coin (50-50) would be more accurate than Punxsutawney Phil. Evidently the accuracy stats for the Groundhog is around 40%. According to WHYY:
  3. It seems correct to me. Whenever possible I use ASIO as the audio driver mode. However, for the MIDI driver mode I always use MME. UWP is a newer standard, but it doesn't work for my gear. As for your solution (not recording controllers), it sounds to me like the progressive latency in the 2nd half of your sample recording might be caused by controller data going from the KORG to Cakewalk and then being sent back to the KORG and somewhere along the line there was some heavy duty data jam. Not 100% sure; that just what it sounded like to me.
  4. I have images from the Theme Editor there. Let me know if these will work for what you want to do. UPDATE: Quick color change test: Happy color picking!
  5. This is not from thread I had in mind, but it is the kind of colorization I had in mind. Not sure if this can still be done.
  6. If I remember correctly those or maybe some other elements were changeable using the Theme Editor in a early release version, a few years ago, but they were changed I assumed for the sake of consistency. Not sure I left some test images up, because it was only relevant to an early release for a very short time.
  7. And that's why I dice up celery and saute it instead of using 3" to 4" whole pieces in soup the way mom used to do. I swear celery is more fibrous than it used to be. More crunch to the bite! Of course, sticks work well when stuffed with cream cheese or creamy peanut butter for the perfect crunch + soft and smooth sensory experience. ?
  8. If you have drumazon and are interested in drumazon2, check your account to see if you still have a coupon for the upgrade.
  9. Had to add my iLok account info into my Eventide account. Just having their plugins activated in iLok is not enough.
  10. Just like I said, it worked. My tune played once I connected the midi out to a Roland M-GS64. Next (after closing out my tune), I selected File > New and chose a default template that has no tracks or busses, and loaded in a midi file for Elgar's Pomp and Circumstances. It has 17 tracks. TTS-1 did not open. CbB played the midi file. I don't understand what's so difficult about this. It does what it has done for decades.
  11. I don't know if there's an official way, but I just created a cwp file with a single, empty midi track and set the preferences to a hardware midi out port. I then went into a Windows folder and double clicked an old midi file I did in 1999. TTS-1 did not open up; all tracks seem to be going to my designated MIDI Output port. Although I have some old Roland GM/GS, I haven't hooked it up to test yet. But based on the led on my midi interface, it should work. I don't use cwt [template] files because I use cwps. But maybe you can do the same with a cwt file.
  12. In case the developer's name and work sound familiar to members of the Cakewalk Discuss Forum, see where the developer kindly contributed to the discussion.
  13. Note: If you updated Pigments to Pigments 5 last week and updated Analog Lab so that Pigments 5 works with it, check to see if you already have the current version of Analog Lab ( 5.9.1.4493 ).
  14. You might want to bookmark this topic and check it regularly so you don't miss the announcement.
  15. I would rather have them do an updated Command Station clone that includes updated sampling functionality based on the Emulator Ultra product line.
  16. WOW!!!! I haven't seen that album since college (college radio station days). Pretty sure this one was on our Top 36 List. Not sure if I was music director at the time. Totally forgot about that album, but we played it!!
  17. Emphasis added: For the fun of it, I downloaded two free Microfreak sound packs and read the Readme.pdf file that tells how to install them. I saw no instructions on how to install them in Analog Lab. But I don't have a Microfreak. Maybe @shawker does? QUESTION: Does anyone with arturia hardware know if hardware specific presets show up in Analog Lab if the hardware is on their system?
  18. I re-read all the posts in this thread (didn't watch the videos, though). It did bring back memories. I haven't used Dr. T's KCS or my Commodore 64 (used for the KCS) in multiple decades, but re-reading the thread was nostalgic. No desire to run KCS or Cakewalk for MS-DOS, though. I think a filmmaker wanting to recreate scenes from bygone eras might want to make use of the software to run ancient software. Someone wanting to open a museum (or do a historical you tube video) to showcase ancient music software could also use it. I know Cakewalk for MS-DOS came on 5 1/4" floppies, but vaguely recall either CPW 3.0 or 3.1 came on 3 1/2" hard-cased floppies. If so, I could try to run it just for the sheer fun of it since I do have a usb 3 1/2" drive. Not a top priority for me, but I'd be mildly curious to see how much CbB's Staff View and Notation Printing has changed since then. (CPW had them both, right?) HISTORICAL NOTE: Just found my boxed up Cakewalk Professional 4.0a Sequencer. It has two 5 1/4" floppy floppies (1 program disk, 1 utilities disk) and one hard-shell 3 1/2" floppy disk. The mild curiosity has passed--no desire to even see if I can make a backup copy with my 3 1/2" usb drive much less to try to see if I could run it.
  19. I don't use the Step Sequencer but picked up Haunted Guitar Lite to give it a try. After inserting the Step Sequencer, I found the default range was too low to trigger notes. So I used the MIDI Tab in the Track Inspector to push the range up 24 half steps. Hope this helps.
