Thanks for confirming. I will send sent them a note. UPDATE: Just got the reply. They confirmed the latest Swatches is indeed missing presets from Exodus. They will correct this and put the right installer online, probably tomorrow. I'll double check and let you know when its there. Again, thanks for confirming you also found them missing.

Maybe we have been erroneously assuming that swatches is cumulative. It does not compute!!!

I just finished comparing numbers: the website shows 72 sound packs; AAS Player shows I have 71. I know I have all of the ones you don't seem to have. I even tried installing aax and nks on my second and third installations. I was thinking maybe I got a defective version (maybe a server issue). All three times the Page Down to see the full agreement didn't work. I just had an empty box. Feel free to quote my details when you report it. BTW, I didn't count the presets, but the first one is numbered 1 and the last one is numbered 736. There were no missing numbers where Exodus should be.

Thanks for the reply. The last Swatches zip file I downloaded was in March. I don't download them all. The email says "The Exodus sound pack is available now at the special introductory price of only $19—a 50% off discount. . . .The promotion ends on April 22, 2024." Maybe they will include it in a later edition of Swatches. Not a big deal; I was just wondering if they skipped the Exodus presets for some reason.

Thanks for the heads up. Maybe you know: did they ever include sample presets from Exodus (for Chromaphone) in any of their Swatches sampler?

Might be a good option for some, as long as it doesn't truncate the real marker names.

Maybe it's because you have the MIDI track set to send all MIDI data on that track to Channel? [ O ] = 2 BTW, with multi channel hardware sound modules I used Expression (CC11) for the relative loudness of individual channels reserving Volume (CC7) for each module's overall volume. Maybe that will work with TTS-1? Not sure about this with Automation, though. I used CCs and it might be that automation behaves differently.

A week or two ago (maybe more), I had a post get flagged for automatic moderation. It was a reply to a post about a certain type of midi data earmarked exclusively for system commands. I'd like to think the moderator who approved the post got a chuckle that the very common portmanteau word triggered the need for moderation. Maybe things ending in "ex" get flagged. If it helps prevent whole bunches of spam, I don't mind. To all the volunteer moderators: Thank you for your service.

For the record, I wasn't joking. I was being seriously pedantic. That being said, I am a bit tired of these circular 'debates. Also for the record, I genuinely appreciate Glenn's phraseology.

"Soon" is a bit like "Tomorrow." Both terms are futuristic; neither really gets here. "Now" and "Today" are situated in "The Present." "Forthcoming" is like "Soon" but doesn't imply a generalized time frame. I suspect even people who like to nit-pick, argue, etc. would probably agree that "Soon" implies a short period of time. Carry on, but I really think this "debate" should be done in The Coffee House.

If your web browser is zoomed in/magnified too much, you might not be seeing the Search Box in the upper right corner of the web page. Here's a link to a search I just did for "activation" with the forum's scope set to Everywhere (as opposed to This Topic). Here's a link to a search for "offline activation" (in quotation marks so the search engine looks for the phrase, not both words individually). If you are using a small form factor for your search (i.e., a cell phone), maybe you need to zoom out to see the Search Box?

Thanks for the relevant but generalized comments re: *.vst3 plugins being placed in folders named with a vst3 suffix. It prompted me to set up two new searches: "*.vst3" for files and "vst3 Folders" for folders that have the vst3 suffix.

ADDENDUM: After looking through the online NI documentation, maybe there are some Kontakt users in the forum that can address things unique to using Kontakt within CbB.

Assuming each midi track is routed to a single sound-producing midi device on one and only one midi channel, have you made sure that the midi outputs of those devices are not being introduced into the data flow? Sometimes this can happen with software synths if plugins have their midi outputs enabled.

BTW, I started with Cakewalk for MS-DOS (with hardware), skipped Pro Audio (except for trials), and then did a number of updates starting with SONAR 3. If you used sysex with Pro Audio, the CbB documentation should get you caught up. Also, you can search the forum. There are many discussions of using System Exclusive data dumps and commands using CbB.

(1) By bandlab do you mean Cakewalk by Bandlab (CbB) or the mobile device/web-based app? (2) What do you want to do with sysex (e.g, to control parameters, to save and restore bulk data dumps, etc.)? Assuming you mean CbB, you can access sysex banks and commands from the Sysx View in the menu bar. If you don't see it there check your Workspace--some factory Workspaces exclude the Sysex View (such as "Basic"). If that's the case, enable the Sysx View in your current Workspace, or either choose "none" or another Workspaces (such as "Advanced").
