The EA installer just asked me to sign in as the administrator, but I only have one account on the system as the administrator - weird. Clicked, OK and the install started. Just replace the BFD3 with a similar Drum Synth. FWIW: I have found recently that most times it is actually an effect on the "affected" track, these bugging programs give. So, try to bypass the effects bin and do a test export. If it exports without failing, you know its an effect. The job then will be - to replace each effect one-by-one with another giving it the same settings. If this test still fails, go ahead and replace the entire synth on the channel.

What most new users are not aware of in Cakewalk: By activating the record button in the track only arm/prep the specific track for record. To actually start the process of recording, you have to press the record button in the control bar | or the shortcut command R on your keyboard.

It is possible that a plugin is causing it - a synth or its preset. Try to export each tracks one-by-one | preferable any synths. The audio tracks you can do as a batch. I've had this happen one time only with a free synth. So I did my diagnosis as described above - it was a tedious job, but ultimately found the culprit and replaced it with a similiar one.

You do know that windows 10 comes with an Antivirus built-in, right?

If its only specific to this project, your antivirus could be blocking it. I have seen and experience cases, where for no reason custom presets cause that message after closing CbB and firing it up again. This could from your own custom presets or from other. This does not only falls directly on custom presets. It could be a stock preset as well. I had two synths doing this which I have gotten from the plugins4free website, but it can be effects too. Make a copy of the original project file and paste it to the desktop and try to open it from there. This always helps for me. If it does not want to open from the desktop, try to hold down shift while you open it (right click and open.) Theres also the case of renaming the project - especially when a "Save as" command was done. So double check the project folder for this. Otherwise create a dump file and send it in, but I doubt that its Cakewalk related.

This is actually really easy to create these days and you even get a better effect. ☺

Are you using any controls via midi or surface? Have you tried to do some self diagnosis before you created this post, and what were they? Create a topic in the Q&A section or asked for this to be moved there.

Sounds like an unauthorized/expired license. Which plugin are you using? FWIW: Cakewalk also have the ability to bypass the fx bin on the track itself and with a global bypass button.

All the answers to your assumptions, has already been given. If you like working with presets, thats cool and all. Its basically what AI tools are "Live|Dynamically Presets"

Never said it isnt an issue. I said you can hardly call it one as it is a small nuance one dont really find annoying. I have this habbit of double checking every insert i make. So to me, what you find an issue - is hardly one. Understand what I mean? That doesnt mean it is not one.

High oversampling during mixing cause dropouts. Effects such as iZotope plugins gives the code 1 dropout too - others would be 32bit plugin versions. I have an issue with Nexus 2 which is 32bit and it does not want to befriend CbB - even with the latest jBridge installed. Try to check for these things too
