Much better balance now. (my wife still votes to pull the drum buss down a bit; its a "taste" thing at this point; IMHO) I'm goin' all in ?? 's t

Is it the response of the "mono cube" itself, or just the act of mixing in mono? t (sorry to hijack your thread Baps, or Am I?)

Have you run the demo? Thoughts? t

Not sure it evoked "light speed" to me, but maybe there is a sort of serene quality to it (warp 1 I mean). The beat under it all made me of Pink Floyd (not a bad thing a t'all). Really liked the bass line (the whole thing really, but really cool bass line). ?'s for sure. t

Bit pair of ?'s from me. (that was supposed to red BIG, not bit; doh!) As always, you nail the style! t

On the 990's here, it seems a bit low mid heavy. Could be my ears, a little "congested" here (allergies). Like Freddy, I too hear this as a good "cue". As always, really enjoy your work. t

Not sure which mix I'm listening to. The snare is a bit hot (IMHO). Kick still needs some work (definition). Maybe a bit more "presence" on the bass. Where's the piano? Strong performances as always! Please don't "hate" me; I'd lose the CB-1 cans for mixing. I'll get me hat... t you know I love your work

Old School Rocker to be sure; ?'s to that (obviously)! Some good advice above, so my nickel98 is; "Lather, Rinse, Repeat"! t

So a single patch on the Kemper throughout? t as an aside the BBC Live version of Since I Been Lovin You is a masterclass in a Les Paul coupled with a Marshall Stack...

Mixed & Mastered on cakewalk, Can you hear all of the instruments??
DeeringAmps replied to JEISONX's topic in Songs
Not my genre Jeisonx, so take this with a grain of salt. Do I hear all the instruments; yes. Would I mix the vocal the way you have? No (but again, not my genre) The bass line just feels like a "drone", no definition or presence. If that's what you are shooting for, then good. That to me is the weakest link here, regardless of genre; I think. HTH, tom -
They say amps just sound "better" when they're purple, so I get it... Nice job! t

Sounds to me like $290 for a Redeye would NOT be a "head & shoulders" upgrade. t but of course, if it were me, I'd just be lookin' for an excuse... ?

It looks like you're not recording the "dry" guitar signal. Precious little info on what the Trakhmann is actually doing, but all that matters is you're getting the "tone" you want. t

Not an EDM or dance guy, but ya held me! t

Kevin, hit "share" on your vid at YouT then Ctrl+V here on the forum and the vid will Imbed. Drove me nuts forever trying to get right. Lots of good advice above so I'll leave it at that (needs some work, but certainly worth continued effort). t

Made me think of Gary Moore, don't know why. As others have already said, Top Shelf performances by all, and great production audio and video. Thanks so much for sharing! t how many "patches" on the Kemper, that clean bit at ~3:00 just the vol down on the Paul?
-
More good stuff visually and musically! Keep up the good work! t

I totally concur! @Barry Seymourall good suggestions, but as to the vocal sound, you're applying your production values to his production. I'm thinking Doug is pretty zeroed in on what he's looking for. But we all "miss" things occasionally so maybe not... t wait ?'s, almost forgot

@SoundwiseI missed that your sole interest is in the dry guitar input. Without a doubt the Little Labs Redeye 3D Phantom is the very best DI I have used ($290 at Sweetwater). That being said, IS IT "head and shoulders" above what you are already using? Also, this is the 2nd generation of the "Redeye" (it is now a "mature" platform, but some had to "buy twice" IYKWIM). The only downside is that it is not available in a "500" model (when it is I will surely be one of the first in line). I don't own more DI's than guitars (I'm ashamed to say), but I got a bunch (too many, of both). If I was simply interested in using only Amp Sims, I could get by with the instrument input on the UFX interface. I have a Radial X-Amp for re-amping the signal and the Redeye does that as well. HTH, t what are you currently using?

I'll just echo the above, everyone knows I'm a fanboi ? t
