  1. Judging by the results, you should get "bored" more often ? Love the groove, great piece! t how long have you been playing the cello? I think I know the answer, hardly long enough to play this well. as always a fan "all groupies must bow down" and I do so quite humbly...

    FMOC

I left my comment over at YouTube. If any of y'all want to see it, you'll have to go over there and drop a "like" for our brother Carl. t Shame on you boys, shame, shame, shame...
  3. Doug I always kind of hesitate with the crits, because you have a definite "style" that just works; there's a "signature" to your productions. I will say that on the DT990's here the bass is just a bit loud to my ears (totally a "taste" thing). And the kick is a bit "undefined", I like a little "beater" (again "taste"), although during the solo I thought I heard a bit of beater. As always, a big fan, another good one! ?'s t
  4. For me this was like Zap Comics for the 21st century! Very cool indeed Bjorn, very cool indeed... t ?'s

    Warp 6

Good stuff Wooks, but I try to keep my intake of these to a minimum. ?'s t There at 2:17 I thought maybe we had achieved Warp 7, but alas I guess we were always there. I've not adapted yet to this Warp travel that you Wookiees seem so comfortable with...
  6. I'm hearing a digital over I think, must be in their conversion of the flac to mp3; at least that would be my guess. What was the peak on the flac? Might be you have to hard limit at -0.5 or -1.0. Or some other number that I can't conjure at the moment... Nothing wrong with that! We're gonna hold you to it. t
  7. I always thought it was the “F” Leo used when he signed his name. t
  8. Fan of you both and really a fan of the two of you together! ?'s ?'s t took me a month to get to this, where have I been? why am I asking you ?
  9. Top shelf as always Nigel! ?'s ?'s and more ?'s t
  10. Jim laid out the basics for the test. SCook sent you to my thread were the link to build 147 is in Noel's post on page 2. Build 144 does not sync properly, You MUST update to Build 147, evidently there's a few other "fixes" going on so 147 is not the "official" version yet. I'm pretty confident your Scarlett will sync up fine once you update to build 147. tom
  11. My thread, my rules, so No it’s a perfect place for us to lobby for negative measures! t
  12. Well done John! Singer/Songwriter introspection, one of your best I think. As always, I'm impressed with how you gave Trilian such a good workout, and EZKeyes as well on this one! Two ?'s up, and a "back field in motion" on that little drum ditty at the 4 minute mark! t Oh and the comment Self deprecation is fine, we all do it, but I don't think it worked on this one, this is a good tune! All the best...
  13. All good here as well. Single Pass, Loop Recording, Single Pass with Punch In, Loop and Punch In (with roll up and out), and Loop and Punch set to the same points. I'll Mark the Thread SOLVED! t @Noel Borthwick Thank You! Should I add link to Build 147 on page 2 to the title?
  14. That's for sure! I bounced 4 side stick hits from EZD, that becomes the "source track"; nice big initial transient makes it easy to "see". Loop that back, invert phase on one and I (you or as the French would say "Vous", meaning all youse guys) should get a "perfect null". Its never perfect, and as often as not the Babyface is 1 sample off. No need for "puny humans" to introduce any error at all... (Naturally "puny humans" was said with tongue in cheek) Even the UFX was 1 sample, haven't "calibrated" the UFX+ yet. When it became obvious there was an "issue", I hightailed it for the office to sick Noel et al on it. HTH, t
  15. I think Wookie and Rural have it right. Sounds good! I could see it under the credits on a trailer. tom Oh, and welcome to the forum.
  16. You seem to have fallen through the cracks with this one Colin. I'll admit I don't recall the original, but your cover sounds great. ?'s t
  17. Loop and single pass are working perfectly! t
  18. Only tested Punch so far, all 4 punches are aligned to one another. However all are 181 samples Early! This is with a 64 sample buffer. Single pass and Loop recording are "spot on" (well 1 sample off, pretty much typical with my RME Babyface) t
  19. What I'm seeing with the Babyface is its the buffer plus 118 samples, so at a buffer of 64 I see 182 samples late. But Noel will have it fixed and it will be like it never happened... t
  20. Good question @John Vere, I don't know; generally I start projects later on the timeline. But as you can see both 2101.01 tracks "started" at 0, as I would expect. Mostly I used 1:01 so I could show the "Inspector" and zoom in enough to illustrate the "lag". However, I "discovered" the problem down stream in a project, so its an "issue". I can confirm that dropping the clip late was consistent across the timeline. Interestingly, the RME Babyface was "latency plus 118 samples late" The RME UFX+ was "latency plus 35 samples late" Doing a Loop Back test (started at measure 3 BTW) confirms 2021.04 Build 98 is "spot on" in its timing. Well as "spot on" as I ever see, moving the "Loop Back" 1 sample forward on the time line (meaning 1 sample early) yields the best "null" with the source track's phase reversed. Pretty typical to what I see with both the RME Babyface and RME UFX; haven't tested the UFX+ as of yet. t Here's a screenshot of the loop back in 2021.04 Build 144
  21. Rolling back to 2021.01 solves the problem. NOTE: I have not as yet done a "loop back" test (I will and report back if there is an issue), but I am confidant that all will be well! t
  22. SOLVED! Link to Build 147 is in Noel's post on Page 2 (I'd link it, but its beyond my tech grade...) 2021.04 is dropping clips late! See the image below, Track 1 was recorded in 2021.01 and started at Beat 1:01 (0 sample) Track 2 was recorded in 2021.04 and started at Beat 1:01 (0 sample) but dropped at Sample 2166. The RME Babyface was set to 2048 and YES Sync and Caching was set to Use ASIO Reported Latency This will NOT do! tom I know this belongs in the Feedback thread...
  23. You could pull the keys down a bit. Goggled Prymetherin earth day 2021; didn't get a hit That's a thing? t
  24. Wrong! You need it, trust me; at $35 its a steal. I am convinced now though; I WILL NEVER AGAIN, PAY FULL PRICE EVER, FOR ANY IKM PRODUCT... sorry to shout, but geez. t
