  1. Its an age old question for those of us of a certain age, that's fer shure... ?
  2. I was thinking Springsteen myself. Good stuff Lee! t it has been a weird year, I look back and see my lack of productivity, so I get where you're coming from on that front. but Better Weather is here; right? ?
  3. You've knocked it out of the park once again Nigel. ?'s ?'s t almost 14k views, very cool... that you on the male vocal?
  4. I'll see your Shaky Jake and raise you a I Don't Need No Doctor! Marriot is undoubtedly one of the top ten British vocalists of all time... t
  5. D'Addario Half Rounds on all the electrics in the studio (Flat Tops on the acoustics). If I were playing out, regular round wounds; they're shot at the end of the night anyway... t
  6. She is now "all in", and reminds us both we should trust their (Terri's and Monica's) constructive criticism! t
  7. Your explanation notwithstanding, I do agree with Nigel the wide spread on the guitar and keys is a bit disconcerting. Its not the way I would mix it, However, it IS your tune, your production! I'm all in on the "grit" in the vocal chain, I think it works well in this tune. So ?'s (read that as 2 big thumbs up) from me, cause overall I loved it! t

this fool bows to the man with the mic in his hand! Well done Jesse! t
  9. Much better balance now. (my wife still votes to pull the drum buss down a bit; its a "taste" thing at this point; IMHO) I'm goin' all in ?? 's t
  10. Is it the response of the "mono cube" itself, or just the act of mixing in mono? t (sorry to hijack your thread Baps, or Am I?)
  11. Have you run the demo? Thoughts? t

    Warp 1

Not sure it evoked "light speed" to me, but maybe there is a sort of serene quality to it (warp 1 I mean). The beat under it all made me of Pink Floyd (not a bad thing a t'all). Really liked the bass line (the whole thing really, but really cool bass line). ?'s for sure. t
  13. Bond, James Bond... ?'s t Where's Moneypenny?

    Prairie trail

Bit pair of ?'s from me. (that was supposed to red BIG, not bit; doh!) As always, you nail the style! t
  15. On the 990's here, it seems a bit low mid heavy. Could be my ears, a little "congested" here (allergies). Like Freddy, I too hear this as a good "cue". As always, really enjoy your work. t
  16. Not sure which mix I'm listening to. The snare is a bit hot (IMHO). Kick still needs some work (definition). Maybe a bit more "presence" on the bass. Where's the piano? Strong performances as always! Please don't "hate" me; I'd lose the CB-1 cans for mixing. I'll get me hat... t you know I love your work
  17. Old School Rocker to be sure; ?'s to that (obviously)! Some good advice above, so my nickel98 is; "Lather, Rinse, Repeat"! t

    Lockdown Blues

So a single patch on the Kemper throughout? t as an aside the BBC Live version of Since I Been Lovin You is a masterclass in a Les Paul coupled with a Marshall Stack...
  19. Not my genre Jeisonx, so take this with a grain of salt. Do I hear all the instruments; yes. Would I mix the vocal the way you have? No (but again, not my genre) The bass line just feels like a "drone", no definition or presence. If that's what you are shooting for, then good. That to me is the weakest link here, regardless of genre; I think. HTH, tom
  20. They say amps just sound "better" when they're purple, so I get it... Nice job! t
  21. Sounds to me like $290 for a Redeye would NOT be a "head & shoulders" upgrade. t but of course, if it were me, I'd just be lookin' for an excuse... ?
  22. It looks like you're not recording the "dry" guitar signal. Precious little info on what the Trakhmann is actually doing, but all that matters is you're getting the "tone" you want. t
  23. Not an EDM or dance guy, but ya held me! t
