  2. Treesha, Nice job on the video and on the song. You nailed the lyrics and I know that because I can totally relate to them. Glad you were able to find the time to work on the song. -Bjorn
  3. Really like the guitar chord patterns with the heavy reverb. The bass joined in at the right time - sounds great. The strings gave it a nicely done cinematic turn. The song seemed to end a bit abruptly. -Bjorn
  4. Oh yeah, I like the Cherry audio and Arturia recreations of those 70's synths. 1:54 wow I like how the marching pattern breaks out into that symphonic sound. The different passages seems like you're telling a story. Could work with that seagull theme if you're still working on that. One of the best I've heard from you. -Bjorn

    Koi Pools

I like the song a lot tho I didn't really pick up on the lyrics. Maybe too low or too much reverb or it could be because of my hearing loss. But IMO that's ok since the music is really good -Bjorn
  6. I agree with everything said above about the vocal level and keyboard volume. But very cool song! Totally enjoyed it. Kind of has that 60s sound to it which is probably why I like it so much. -Bjorn
  7. equality- thank you. appreciate the comment Steve - yikes. sorry to hear about the water damage! hope the studio is back up soon.
  8. Beautiful and heartfelt. The guitar needs to be brought up more as already mentioned. I was in Australia a couple of years ago, up in the Darwin area and down in Tasmania for nature photography. Had a great time and I really want to go back. -Bjorn

    War Rhino

Ross, excellent track. Very creative and probably a whole lot of fun putting together those sounds. I thought at first you were using one of the Tuvan voices from Omnisphere, but maybe not. Which came first, the artwork or the song title? 😄 -Bjorn
  10. thanks tom. T Boog, That's Embertone Joshua Bell Violin, one of the best. Bruce, I like country music from the 40s and 50s. The music may be corny but it hits that sentimental spot in your head in a good way.

    Parachutes

Wow, what a production! Don't know how you do it Nigel, time after time. 👍 -Bjorn
  12. I like it. The voc samples fit in naturally but maybe need to stand out more? It's a bit repetitive IMO but maybe that's what you're going for. I'd like to hear more of the flute (?) I love world female voc samples and have used them quite a bit. Check out Aliye by Sonokinetic on YouTube The library even has translations. -Bjorn
  13. Great lyrics. Really like bringing in the wife and daughter as a reminder why you're doing what you're doing. To me the vocal part just needs to come forward a bit. Other than that very good song. Enjoyed it. -Bjorn
  14. Very nice. I like that the melody sticks with you after the song is over. I like the accompaniment too and the strings coming in just where they should. -Bjorn
  15. Thank you Mr Wookie. I do appreciate the comments. Thanks Nigel! Glad you liked it. KSband Thank you. Appreciate the comment. Andy, that's Indiginus Renegade vst. Once upon a time I could have played it on a real guitar but after undergoing surgery on my hand I can barely hold a chord nowadays. I agree about needing more variation on the track. Should have done that.

    Going Back Home

Going Back Home Kind of a country song which I don't usually do but that's the way it turned out. I like the melody. Tbanks for listening/commenting. -Bjorn
  17. Jerry, just what I needed to get my mind off politics and return to what's really important. Love the music and the vocalist. So you kind of inspired me to dabble in astrophotography, though not to the extent that you do. I bought a SeeStar S50, a "smart" telescope that does just about everything for you. I've been able to get some fairly nice images of deep sky objects from my back yard which just blows my mind. Had no idea that could be done. -Bjorn
  18. Music theory says that certain chords just naturally follow other chords and there's no mathematical formula to explain why that is. It just "sounds right." It's a human experience thing and I think that's wonderful. Anyway, I enjoyed your music Wookie. -Bjorn
  19. Ooo I like this one , especially the guitar. Well done! -Bjorn
  20. Not only did my HS marching band (Wilson HS, Long Beach,CA) play at all the HS football games but we also got to march down Main street in Disneyland and also at a USC game at the LA Coliseum. I wasn't a great clarinet player but I looked good in the band uniform.
  21. Beautiful. Love the cello which adds a nice mournful mood to the song. Very well done Mark. -Bjorn

  23. Thanks again Jack Wookie, yeah migraines aren't all the same. I get the photophobia stuff too. The current meds have been a life changer for me. Thanks Ross, DaVinci Resolve makes it pretty easy to get cool special fx, at least the easier ones. jerry df thanks! Nigel, the vid doesn't compare to the fantastic stuff you do, but I do appreciate the comment. Kevin, Thank you!
  24. I posted this a couple of years ago but didn't like it that much so this is a do over. I got the lyrics idea from an article about how to NOT write a blues song. For example the following lyrics don't fit the concept of a blues song: "My woman is insensitive to my needs" So that's the first line in my song. I used buzz words I found on the internet and I made up some of my own. Here's the rest of the lyrics: ============================================================================== Well my woman she's insensitive to my needs I said my woman she's insensitive to my needs I get no affirmation I get no focused communication I just can't take it any more -------------------------------- well my baby she don't respect my boundaries Yeah my baby she don't respect my boundaries I'm always the one to acquiesce cause she don't appreciate my uniqueness I'm so wired for love but there ain't no empathic connection I just can't take this any more ------------------------------------- gtr solo ---------------------------------------- my honey she don't know my love language Yeah my honey she don't know my love language we no longer set goals and achieve together no thoughtful gifts or genuine gestures so obvious We're on a codependent journey to consensual isolation I just can't take this any more No I can't take it any more -------------------------------------- my woman misinterprets my intentions I say my woman misinterprets my intentions I must lovingly express in words so simple she really must do an honest self appraisal hey I'm loving her bravely, but the sentiment it ain't reciprocated this can't go on any more can't take it, just can't take it no more ----------------------------------------------

    Pluto

I can see this as a theme song for a celestial object on the NASA website. It's very melodic which I find appealing and IMO seems to work with the bouncy Berlin electronica in the background. -Bjorn
