The error message you list is not ours but from the Microsoft installer from the redist itself. This link seems to indicate that your windows installers may need repair. https://thegeekpage.com/the-feature-you-are-trying-to-use-in-on-a-network-resource-that-is-unavailable-in-windows-10-fix/ Also read this. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/forum/all/the-feature-you-are-trying-to-use-is-in-a-network/80d4be22-aab6-47f0-a7dc-8a3131fc8df0?page=2 It seems that a registry entry on your pc may be pointing to a non existent drive which may be confusing the Microsoft installer. Check the path that it lists in the error message and follow those links.

@Twaddle did you follow this procedure and still have no success? BTW your post isn't about running Cakewalk. It's that you can't run the installer...

We install all redists that are REQUIRED by Cakewalk so using the installer provided should address any Cakewalk related issues.

Waves (new) ClarityVx plugin not loading-RESOLVED
Noel Borthwick replied to Charles Czerny's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Not all companies can keep up with the latest versions that is normal. However waves does test with Cakewalk and report issues to us. Changes on incremental releases are very unlikely to affect global compatibility. -
Audio Engine Dropout code not found in documentation
Noel Borthwick replied to LittleStudios's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Doubtful. It could be a general hang in the system or even a bug. Hard to say without the ability to reproduce it. Is it happening consistently with your project? However smaller buffer sizes can expose certain bugs or race conditions more readily so its a possibility that you may not run into it at a larger buffer size. In any case there is a simple resolution to switch to the default scheduling model. -
Incorrect information. CbB started development from the last version of SONAR Platinum. The first CbB release was in fact identical other than a few bug fixes. There were exactly zero teething problems other than transitioning the activation system and some installer changes to removed bundled 3rd party licensed plugins. There is no comparison to any prior version of SONAR anymore. Cbb is a vastly improved and more stable program with thousands of bug fixes and hundreds of new features since then.

Audio Engine Dropout code not found in documentation
Noel Borthwick replied to LittleStudios's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
@LittleStudios you are using the "aggressive" thread scheduling model. The error code 19 means "Multiprocessing the audio tasks timed out waiting for completion". This is likely some corner case with your project that is leading to this. "aggressive" mode is not heavily tested so I suggest switching back to the default thread scheduling model. This is completely unrelated to the current update btw. -
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IGNORE FX RACK AND INDIVIDUAL OFF BY EFFECT
Noel Borthwick replied to Milton Sica's question in Q&A
We own the licenses to them all. It was intentionally not included in the free set of released plugins when we first released Cbb. It may be released in the future. -
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IGNORE FX RACK AND INDIVIDUAL OFF BY EFFECT
Noel Borthwick replied to Milton Sica's question in Q&A
Look ahead is not related to processing cost. Rather it is required to allow the processor to look at historical audio ahead of time. That is what causes the delay because the plugin needs to buffer audio in advance before it can start processing it. -
Why does the audio to midi conversion fail
Noel Borthwick replied to Cezary's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
The free version will not do MIDI extraction. Celemony no longer allows it. -
If you are running the free version of Melodyne 5 or the player, MIDI extraction no longer works. You need to purchase one of the other products.

[Closed ] New Cakewalk web installer
Noel Borthwick replied to Noel Borthwick's topic in Early Access Program
Hi everyone. The Cakewalk Web Installer has now been officially released. To download it, choose Download and then pick the Cakewalk Installer instead of BandLab assistant. Note that once you have Cakewalk installed all subsequent updates can be done directly from within the application via Help | Check for updates. Notifications for available updates are also automatically shown by default. There is no need to use BandLab assistant now unless you wish to do offline authorization for Cakewalk, or you want access to BandLab loops. -

Interesting. We'll double check to see if something isn't being released. -
Possible Memory Leak Saving Track Template
Noel Borthwick replied to Fred's Gratis Scores's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
To clarify, if you save as a track template multiple times from the same project, does it keep cumulatively eating up memory on each save from within the same project? -

Sample rate issue in Archetype: Tim Henson VST3
Noel Borthwick replied to ChristopherM's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Let me know what Nueral DSP says. I am in touch with them and can follow up if necessary. It would seem that they are caching the sample rate and not responding to a change in sample rates properly. Cakewalk initially sets the sample rate to the default but the actual project setting will override this later. The plugin needs to respond to this change or it will be out of sync. -
Axe Edit III disturbs mouse, can you repro...?
Noel Borthwick replied to Panu Pentikäinen's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Wow thats a bizarre issue. It could be hardware or driver related. I have no idea how invalid mouse messages could be sent otherwise. Are you running a multi monitor setup as well? I see in your video that you have two monitors. Are they identical resolutions and have you set one up in windows to be higher than the other? Also to troubleshoot see what happens if you tile the axe fx on the same monitor as CbB, or flip cakewalk to the right monitor.- 22 replies

@Panu Pentikäinen have you tried using a different mouse to rule out a mouse driver issue?- 22 replies

Severity Settings & Thread Scheduling
Noel Borthwick replied to Sidney Earl Goodroe's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I'm not sure what issues you are referring to. There are no problems with scheduling so there is no need to change the default thread scheduling. Re severity, 7 is the most strict setting. The default is 1. 7 should be used for troubleshooting. -
Yes you have to download it before you get a chance to run it A second message will appear after the download successfully completes.
