That would imply that the issue isn’t related to the program but something environmental. Do you have an antivirus that may have blacklisted the program or something like that? If you rename it back or copy the exe file does the problem return?

You shouldn't need to do a full uninstall. The first thing to check is look at the version info for cakewalk.exe. It should look like this: Check if it says "this digital signature is ok" If not can try deleting (or renaming) the cakewalk.exe file and reinstall the application and retry.

If all tracks are selected and you Ctrl click the pro channel enable button on a single track, it will quick group enable all the PC modules for all tracks. However simply turning on the pro channel won't do anything by default unless you have modules with modified settings.

Try rolling back to verify if the message appears in Portuguese

If it is it's not on our end as far as I can see.

That string doesn't come from Cakewalk resources. It comes via a Windows API to read the device name from the registry, so something likely corrupted there. Nothing has changed in that code for many years.

The device you inserted or removed is returning that string to the Windows API's we're using. Not much we can do to solve it. That is supposed to show the device name that was inserted or removed. Not related to this update.

We identified the issue and will release an updated web installer tomorrow.

Any chance you can share one of the projects that exhibits this? I doubt we’ll be to repro but its worth a try.

Something may have modified the Cakewalk executable which could explain why a reinstall rectified the issue. You should also do a virus scan…

Be wary of these extension tools that hook into windows low level functions since they can cause unexpected side effects like this!

@cheesemandid you use the web installer for the latest 2022.06 release? We can look into it if you are still unable to install.

Mix recall presets definitely support swapping in different effects and instruments as well as their settings. If it's crashing it's likely a regression or some unexpected case.

@Hugh Blaney which version of Cakewalk are you running and what Windows OS version do you have. You can upload the dump to any file sharing service, like OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox and send a link to the file.

What version of Windows are you using and how did you install Cakewalk? Error code 20 is an error indicating that the digital signature of the application is invalid or could not be authenticated. This can happen if the executable was modified or if the cryptography in Windows is unable to validate the signature.

Obviously, a crash isn't expected. So, you saved a mix from a project containing a synth, then replaced the synth and then tried to apply the saved mix to the new project? If its crashing thats a bug. I would expect it to apply the mix from the old mix recall setting but ignore the new synth. If you choose to ignore effects in the mix recall settings when applying the preset does it work ok? Please try and reproduce it with the same steps and see if it still crashes. If so please send the dump file.

Thats good. This feature came about as a result of trying to get it to work with the Keylab actually.

I don't think this could be anything related to this update. Are you sure your mouse isn't misbehaving?

Does the same happen if you open the app first and then open your project?

If I understand correctly, is the problem only when opening a project before Cakewalk has opened? If the waves scan is hung for some reason, then that toast won't go away. As abacab mentioned that could be a waves install issue. But the project loading toast is completely independent of that. I expect that toast to always be dismissed. If you can boil it down to a project send me a link and I can try and reproduce it. I have all the waves plugins.
