  1. There's no change there. Demo mode has the same behavior in the current build. There's a new tool that will handle offline activation for CbB, but its in beta currently. Signing back into BandLab from the help menu will renew the auth license.
  2. You actually can submit an application for it still, which won't guarantee that you'll be admitted as there's a lot of applicants, but it's not fully closed off.
  3. The original question on this thread has been asked and answered. The same other points have been discussed at length in a bunch of other places, no need to keep going in circles. Thanks.
  4. That just means your current activation session is going to expire in that many days. If you sign back into BandLab from Cakewalk, it'll renew the auth license.
  5. This sounds like it's likely an issue with the plugin itself, but can send us a dump file and we'll take a look.
  6. It should definitely be fine when you set it up for Mackie Control.
  7. It's possible there might be something weird with the file too if it's not opening in CbB. It should open though- you could try Safe Mode (holding shift when clicking open on the file from within Cakewalk) and click NO TO ALL when prompted about loading plugins.
  8. You probably have Stop at Project End turned on. It's in the Track View's Options menu.
  9. Cakewalk by BandLab is not going anywhere anytime soon. If anything changes on that front, there would be plenty of advance notice. We have no desire to pull the rug out from anybody. All of your projects from Cakewalk by BandLab and before will all continue to be fine in the new Sonar version as well. Also as has been said in a dozen other threads, the current plan for the new Sonar pricing should be very agreeable to most folks. Nothing is fully finalized, so we can't give out details, but the team is still very hard at work on all aspects of the new version and its delivery. This is unlikely as part of the user agreement for having free CbB is that it requires you to be connected to BandLab. All that's required of this is to have access to free software is the login. That's called cracked/pirated software, aka intellectual property theft. There's some plans in the works for some of this, obviously I can't give any details at this time.
  10. @Alan Bachman You can definitely open .wrk files in Cakewalk by BandLab. Obviously ancient plugins might not be there, but the file format is compatible with CbB. As far as some of the plugs go, you might have more luck recovering those if you have a 32-bit SONAR install, but all the actual data will load in 64-bit fine.
  11. Sad news indeed. My dad actually knew Dave back in the day. Their shop in Flemington is where I bought my #1 Les Paul and Jazz Bass (among others), although that location has been gone for a little while now.
  12. You have Pro Audio 7 and 8 serials registered to your email. You'd need an old version of Windows to get those to work properly though. There's no downloads for any of those versions as they long predate making those available.
  13. We're doing what we can as quickly as we're able to do it. We appreciate people's patience. In the case of offline activation, this is not something that will impact the vast majority of users, so it's kind of a special case scenario. That said, check your PMs. We do what we can to unblock people who reach out.
  14. Changes within the app facilitated that BandLab Assistant was no longer able to do offline Activation for Cakewalk by BandLab. There was no bad intention involved. The new method required for this just hasn't been formally released yet.
  15. It's possible the plugin is in a bad state and reinserting it will work. You can always save a copy of the project with a new instance and see if it works any better
  16. @tdehan Looks like the crash is in VSCO2 Orchestra.dll that's corrupting memory. That would indicate it should open in safe mode if you choose not to load the plugins.
  17. If the issue persists you can send us the dump file from the crash and we can check on our end.
  18. I mean, you could do a counter-gain/volume envelope on audio that has a pre-existing fade printed on it. You'll raise the noise floor the whole time though.
  19. This has been discussed enough on other threads as well, we don't need to rehash it again here. Thanks!
  20. I'm going to lock this thread just as this same convo has run its course on... numerous other threads, nothing personal @Rickddd. When all the pricing stuff is finalized, we'll let everybody know, but as of right now (and mentioned elsewhere) the current plans we have on deck should be agreeable with most people here. We can't say much beyond that, but we just ask that people be patient. Thanks!
  21. Those issues are beyond the scope the last drop. Its goal was to address relevant issues that people had run into that were related to the initial 2023.09 release. There were no changes to the Staff View since 2022.11. The Microsoft GS Wavetable synth issue is not internal to Cakewalk. It's an unreliable method for trying to get MIDI playback and not recommended for that reason. As for garbled audio with the TTS-1, what is the audio configuration for both playback and the project sample rate? There haven't been any changes that would impact TTS-1's performance, and we're unable to reproduce this issue on our end at a standard 44.1 KHz sample rate.
  22. If you have a dump file for the crash we can take a look into it.
  23. @Keni if you use the Cakewalk installer tool off the CbB product page, that will get the update.
