  1. I couldn't repro a problem rescanning in SONAR X3. It sounds like you might have a particular plugin that was causing the scanner to fail.
  2. It's not as if TTS1 was removed because we don't think GM is a viable workflow. Plus as I said, the MS Wavetable synth isn't something that's ever been a part of the app itself. We simply expose whatever MIDI ports are available in Windows. There have been no changes in the app to remove that. We definitely would like to have some kind of alternative in the future. Personally, I wouldn't want to rely on a GM player for backing tracks. There's much better sounding alternatives, but obviously that's subjective on a few levels.
  3. Product Center downloads to wherever your user Downloads folder in Windows is.
  4. The MS Wavetable synth was never in the app itself. It may show up depending on what driver mode you're in, but it's not really a great solution. The synth is part of Windows. It functions exactly the same as if you were using a physical external MIDI module, but without an obvious way on how to pump that back into the app if you needed. TTS-1 was requested to be removed by Roland. In any case, we were not able to maintain it as it's Roland's source code, and it's been noted for having increasing stability issues as time has gone along. You're definitely right about very quickly feeling like you're in 1998. Not too many people use that kind of workflow these days. Not unless you're working with hardware modules.
  5. They go to the Downloads folder in Windows, which is the same place that the in-app updates go.
  6. If you're on build 098 for CbB, Product Center should see that it is currently installed. It's possible you might need to refresh in CPC. Product Center was updated yesterday to build 051 so the auto-update is expected there.
  7. The 2024.02 update has now been formally released to all. Thanks to everyone for their participation in Early Access!
  8. Hi Folks, Please note that the installer has been updated to 29.09.0.096. This build features an improved sign in workflow. Thanks!
  9. Please note that the installer link has been updated to build 29.02.0.093. This new build includes an improved experience for offline activation as well as some additional improvements for analytics. Please grab the latest. Thanks!
  10. I've played gigs running a laptop using a USB-C adapter like that with a Roland Octa-Capture. Worked like a charm.
  11. The Melodyne installer is just a wrapper for the stock one from Celemony, so if you're already running Melodyne, there's no need to update there. Product Center might not see some existing installs if they haven't been done with the very latest installer versions. There haven't been any binary changes to any of the add-ons for CbB, but the installers were updated a little while back in anticipation of Product Center.
  12. Depending on when your application was received you may yet get a response, it's relative to when it was received and how many other people have already been admitted. It's not a fully open beta, so it's a restricted size pool, so not everyone who applies will be admitted, nothing personal if you don't a response.
  13. There's no change there. Demo mode has the same behavior in the current build. There's a new tool that will handle offline activation for CbB, but its in beta currently. Signing back into BandLab from the help menu will renew the auth license.
  14. You actually can submit an application for it still, which won't guarantee that you'll be admitted as there's a lot of applicants, but it's not fully closed off.
  15. The original question on this thread has been asked and answered. The same other points have been discussed at length in a bunch of other places, no need to keep going in circles. Thanks.
  16. That just means your current activation session is going to expire in that many days. If you sign back into BandLab from Cakewalk, it'll renew the auth license.
  17. This sounds like it's likely an issue with the plugin itself, but can send us a dump file and we'll take a look.
  18. It should definitely be fine when you set it up for Mackie Control.
  19. It's possible there might be something weird with the file too if it's not opening in CbB. It should open though- you could try Safe Mode (holding shift when clicking open on the file from within Cakewalk) and click NO TO ALL when prompted about loading plugins.
  20. You probably have Stop at Project End turned on. It's in the Track View's Options menu.
  21. Cakewalk by BandLab is not going anywhere anytime soon. If anything changes on that front, there would be plenty of advance notice. We have no desire to pull the rug out from anybody. All of your projects from Cakewalk by BandLab and before will all continue to be fine in the new Sonar version as well. Also as has been said in a dozen other threads, the current plan for the new Sonar pricing should be very agreeable to most folks. Nothing is fully finalized, so we can't give out details, but the team is still very hard at work on all aspects of the new version and its delivery. This is unlikely as part of the user agreement for having free CbB is that it requires you to be connected to BandLab. All that's required of this is to have access to free software is the login. That's called cracked/pirated software, aka intellectual property theft. There's some plans in the works for some of this, obviously I can't give any details at this time.
  22. @Alan Bachman You can definitely open .wrk files in Cakewalk by BandLab. Obviously ancient plugins might not be there, but the file format is compatible with CbB. As far as some of the plugs go, you might have more luck recovering those if you have a 32-bit SONAR install, but all the actual data will load in 64-bit fine.
  23. Sad news indeed. My dad actually knew Dave back in the day. Their shop in Flemington is where I bought my #1 Les Paul and Jazz Bass (among others), although that location has been gone for a little while now.
  24. You have Pro Audio 7 and 8 serials registered to your email. You'd need an old version of Windows to get those to work properly though. There's no downloads for any of those versions as they long predate making those available.
  25. We're doing what we can as quickly as we're able to do it. We appreciate people's patience. In the case of offline activation, this is not something that will impact the vast majority of users, so it's kind of a special case scenario. That said, check your PMs. We do what we can to unblock people who reach out.
