  1. I haven't done anything yet, other than ask myself what instruments might orchestrate well with the NI Yangquin that I have... Perhaps a flute and some percussion... from other lands?
  2. Although my opinion on plugins may appear harsh, I am open to updating the integrated Cakewalk workflow for native internal samplers and such. From everything I can see and hear, that is most likely an area where Cakewalk has fallen behind the market leaders in DAW tech...
  3. BandLab has focused on delivering the best free professional DAW in the world!!! So why so much concern for ancient plug-ins? I have all of the plugins from Sonar Platinum, but most of the free stuff out there blows them away from a technical perspective. A lot of that was based on 15 year old tech. The good stuff is still distributed in CbB... If you want more, just go out and download the free plugins that are available, or buy professional plugins if you can afford them.
  4. According to this article, Audacity 3.02 (the current version) is unaffected by the changes. "We should be clear that these changes come with the currently unreleased version 3.03" https://bedroomproducersblog.com/2021/07/12/audacity-spyware/ You could probably use Cakewalk, but using a DAW instead of an audio editor for your purposes could set you up for an unholy learning curve!
  5. Did you try uninstalling and re-installing the Korg driver yet?
  6. The Cakewalk Quadcurve EQ in the Pro Channel is very nice!
  7. I would at least try to completely uninstall the driver and re-install it, as was suggested by Michael.
  8. As are BandLab for keeping it rolling!
  9. If you really like the keyboard, you could always use the old school 5-pin DIN-MIDI out connector from the M-Audio MK-361C, instead of USB. Many audio interfaces (and some keyboards) also offer a DIN-MIDI connection input, as well as there are some dedicated USB MIDI interfaces that could do the job of getting the keyboard MIDI into your PC. Cakewalk should see those alternative MIDI ports as available MIDI inputs. In Cakewalk for example, my Arturia Keylab Mk II shows both MIDI in and out ports from the physical MIDI ports on the rear of that USB connected keyboard. So I could piggy-back a legacy MIDI device from the Arturia if I needed to.
  10. It appears that Hybrid Keys > Atmospheric is included with the free Komplete Start bundle and is Kontakt Player compatible. Do you have the same issue if you run Kontakt Player in standalone mode (i.e. no Cakewalk)?
  11. Even if the drivers are installed, If a USB controller device was unplugged or powered off when Cakewalk was started, it will not be recognized by Cakewalk. Make sure that it's plugged in and powered on before starting Cakewalk. And a reboot with the device connected and powered on never hurts!
  12. It's an issue with Kontakt and the way Cakewalk zeros out certain CC controllers. I don't recall the exact fix, but it's been discussed here before. And I'm sure someone will come along with the answer soon! Or you can search the forum...
  13. If Windows sees a device, then Cakewalk should as well.
  14. Programming jobs will be a dead end when AI takes over... "Would you like fries with that?" ?
