  1. Bypass all the effects. If that works, then enable them one at a time until the problem resumes.
  2. Simeon, Reid, and Larry are a tag team created to empty wallets... ?
  3. There was a YouTube video recently comparing EZbass and ujam Virtual Bassist v2. That would be a different struggle. I have MODO Bass, and that's not the same at all. What you could do is record/edit your MIDI parts from either EZbass, or ujam Virtual Bassist v2, and then play the part back with a custom MODO bass.
  4. It would seem that NI should consider loosening up some controls with the licensed full Kontakt, so that users can customize their own local installation for this. But it is, what it is! Anyhow, thanks for the helpful info!
  5. So you are saying that even if I was to create a library of my own, I would have to pay NI for a license to encode for Kontakt Player in order to include it in the Library view?
  6. Great info! I have the library now! Looking forward to lots of fun! But just one general question about using Kontakt libraries, since you seem to be a power collector of Kontakt libraries... I recently acquired the full version of Kontakt as a very good crossgrade deal, and I'm stoked that "requires full Kontakt" never needs to be a concern again! However, I've noticed that these 3rd party Kontakt libraries do not show up in the left hand "Libraries" panel like the Native Instruments libraries do. Is there any way to set that up yourself, or are you limited to always using the "Files" view or "Quick-Load" to locate your '.nki' file?
  7. I have repurposed my Windows 7, Intel 3rd gen i5-3570K 3.4 Ghz CPU, with 16GB memory, and a GTX 950 GPU, as my 'media center/gaming' PC in my living room. I load all sorts of crap on that, and take a full disk image weekly. Can roll back if necessary, but so far all is well...
  8. Is there any MIDI export, or MIDI out to your DAW tracks for the patterns you generate?
  9. Just a heads up, about the Live 11.0.5 installer. After the update, the previous point release of 11 was still installed, resulting in a 4GB reduction in my available disk space. So I used the Programs and Features module of Control Panel to remove the previous point release. This resulted in the restoration of my missing disk free space, and version 11.0.5 continued to run, no re-install necessary. Weird!
  10. Does this also happen with other recording software, and while using the same audio interface and drivers?
  11. I've been an Autoruns user for many years.
  12. I've no idea. I acquired an Epic game 3 years ago, and have never installed it, or the Epic installer... plz let me know how it works out... ?
  13. I wouldn't put anything but GOG games on my DAW. At least you know there is no DRM running in the background with that... YMMV.
  14. Fascinating! A pattern sequencer dedicated to string sections! Brilliant!
  15. Free again, but from Epic this time! Until July 22, 2021. https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/free-games
  16. Here's a list: http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/By-Category/ProChannel-Modules
  17. I try to only buy games from GOG, for their DRM-free advantages. Since Obduction is currently $29.99 from GOG, only if you are really allergic to DRM, then that may be the best option. My exception has generally been for bundles, freebies, and/or stupid low deals from other publishers with DRM. But I have only got 1 Epic game so far as a freebie, and never installed it, so cannot say how their installation/activation works. I see that they offer a download of "The Epic Store", so that must be their download/license manager. I load all of the DRM crap on my non-DAW Win 7 desktop, and the only games that I ever consider installing on my Win 10 DAW PC are from GOG. Don't usually game on the DAW, but it does have the best specs!
  18. Obduction is very cool! I bought that a few years ago, and it is quite addictive. Especially once you learn where the "jump" portals are... "A sci-fi adventure from Cyan, the creators of Myst. Abducted far across the universe, you find yourself on a broken alien landscape with odd pieces of Earth. Explore, uncover, solve, and find a way to make it home." A huge full 3D adventure/puzzle masterpiece from the creators of the Myst series. https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/p/obduction You don't need a really high spec machine to run it, but a GPU is recommended:
  19. As far as I know, the Pro Channel in Cakewalk Bandlab is the same one from Sonar Platinium (and X3). Was there something in particular you were looking for?
  20. Perhaps for the assignable control knobs from within Pro Channel?
