  1. I like this channel strip. It has some secret sauce that magically makes everything sound better! Great for engineer dummies like me! ?
  2. This looks cool! But so far v1.0.0 seems broken here, as I cannot get it to do anything other than inserts, and spin knobs, etc. But as far as FX... NADA. It seems forever stuck in some sort of bypass mode, but it does indicate some input activity on the top bar. Not just with CbB either, as I tried a few alternatives. KVR mentions a Minor update to v1.0.1, but there is no link for it.
  3. Hey you just reminded me that Waves Scheps Omni Channel also has a compressor! With side chain! I forgot about that one. It works in CbB! SOC also has side chain on the Gate and DS modules. $35.99 on sale https://www.waves.com/plugins/scheps-omni-channel#presenting-scheps-omni-channel
  4. I really like the (original) Rapture expansion packs 1 and 2. Some really unique sounds in there. But as far as for creating new sounds from scratch, I would rather use Pigments...
  5. PluginBoutique has virtual bassist upgrades to V2 for $29...
  6. Just curious, do you happen to have another DAW program to test FatChannel in? The simplest way to get one is to use the free Reaper trial version. It's a quick and light download, and won't clutter up your PC. It's only 14.1MB. Yes, MB!!! https://www.reaper.fm/ If the FatChannel plugin works in another program, then that would confirm the installation is good. And also isolates the problem to your Cakewalk setup.
  7. The free Melda MCompressor works with side chaining in Cakewalk. I ran through the IK T-RackS compressors in Cakewalk, but none of them were available as send assignments for sidechaining, unless I am missing something. A few other 3rd party compressors that I have in my plugin collection that did show up for sidechaining in CbB were: PreSonus Fat Channel XT Waves H-Comp Hybrid Compressor ($29 on sale) NI Supercharger (free download with Komplete Start) Tracktion TCompressor (included in the Tracktion DAW Essentials Collection)
  8. How do these suggestions stack up with the IK T-RackS compressors? For example, if you already have them, would you still be looking elsewhere?
  9. Oops! Just realized that my last post was here in the Freeware FX Thread... was replying about a freeware synth to a post here from 'dubdisciple' about another freeware synth, and forget where I was. LOL! ? Apologies for the off-topic post! If a mod wants to move it, that's cool!
  10. Well I never noticed it until you brought it up. Apparently never tried the up/down arrows... ?
  11. Have you checked out Odin 2 yet? It's a freeware (open source, all platform) gem! https://www.thewavewarden.com/odin2 I would say that it rivals commercial synths. Great sound, and lots of fun too! Semi-modular, with 3 Oscillator slots, 3 filter slots, and 3 LFOs. And more...
  12. FatChannel XT is working fine here in CbB. Didn't have to do anything special to get it to work in CbB, other than getting it installed and fully activated in PreSonus Hub. Prior to that (proper activation), it wouldn't work in any DAW.
  13. Yep, the arrow buttons (as shown in the GIF) are still broken as far as incrementing thru the presets. But the other buttons seem to work fine. However, if you use the preset pulldown menu to select a different preset, the arrow buttons will then revert you back to the same 2 presets as above...
  14. If you re-read my OP, you will notice that I moved everything Waves to my "D:" drive with a directory junction. Using that method, the Waves system still thinks I'm using "C:". Less chances of breaking the delicate Waves plugin structure, IMHO. Although YMMV. I'm glad to hear that Waves Central fixed it in your case.
  15. The free Spitfire Audio Labs has an autoharp... https://labs.spitfireaudio.com/
