  1. One word. MODO. MODO drums by IK Multimedia. Physical Modeling for drums. The cymbals are sampled.
  2. I got Neoverb in a bundle, but haven't had time to fully learn it yet. It seems like it would be a useful tool, based on a combination of Exponential Audio reverb tech and iZotope intelligence. Probably worth checking out at this price point. Free trial!
  3. Looks like B&H has cleaned up their "sales" on IK products. Full price only now! Oops, my bad. If you log in to your account, you will get an automatic 9% discount...
  4. If you ever use a virtual bass, the Ampeg stuff in AT might be worth it... just sayin... ?
  5. And if you bought that qualifying license on sale, good deal! IK uses the actual retail price for the qualifying product as the price match for the group buy freebies. not what you actually paid! I did this last time. Bought a license for an IK crossgrade from a 3rd party retailer at a huge discount. Then I registered that with IK and got all of the group freebies based on the full retail price!
  6. Nice surprise! Since I already have all of the qualifying products that I'm interested in, thanks to last year's group buy, I will have to sit this one out... But this is a great opportunity for those that do not already have all of the IK products they want to catch up!
  7. You can also check for updates from with the Voltage Modular app.
  8. Review – EZBass (including Fretless and Gospel Extensions) from Toontrack https://soundbytesmag.net/review-ezbass-including-fretless-and-gospel-extensions-from-toontrack/
  9. Did somebody say "Max Headroom"?
  10. Let's hope that we never achieve that! But raising interest rates now sure looks like it would crash everything.
  11. Check the list of Software > Korg Collection 3 Series... https://korg.shop/software/korg-collection-series.html
  12. Good point! My impression is that many developers are probably building and testing their code on the very latest hardware. So the likelihood of issues with older/lesser capable hardware may be overlooked. by them. So freezing synth tracks, and selective sends to FX busses (rather than inserting effects on each track) could be a worthwhile effort if you run into issues with performance on your PC .
  13. No problem! Found what I was looking for, and had just overlooked!
  14. Hey thanks! That's the same link that I posted yesterday. But I took another look and noticed that the VST3 version is a separate executable.
  15. If you do not yet have a squeaky clean LatencyMon report, you will likely continue to have some issues with DPC latency. It is what it is... With an off the shelf laptop, you may encounter DPC latency issues unless you have an exceptional unit. An i7 laptop CPU is relatively under powered compared with a similar desktop CPU. Mobile processors have lower clock speeds to lower heat output and power consumption. Off the shelf laptops are typically optimized for uses other than audio production. So laptop choices should be selected from known good audio laptop models (those that others have had a good real-time audio experience with). Gaming or video editing laptops are not going to be guaranteed to work with real-time audio. Those are not real-time activities.
  16. A link to KORG_Software_Pass_1_1_3 with a Setup.exe v1.1.3 was emailed to me by the KORG Shop. This link at a KORG page downloads the same Setup.exe with a v1.1.3 file. The file hashes match. https://id.korg.com/static_pages/3 That being said, Software Pass seems to have a strange little bug for me. It still shows two products as uninstalled, although I did download all good installers and installed them all successfully. Not a real problem though, but it may offend those with OCD. ? I will ignore the false error ... I will ignore the false error ... I will ignore the false error ... I will ignore the false error ... I will ignore the false error ... I will ignore the false error ... I will ignore the false error ... I will ignore the false error ... I will ignore the false error ... I will ignore the false error ... I will ignore the false error ... I will ignore the false error ... ...
  17. The Korg software downloader worked correctly for me. Did you install the latest Korg Software Pass?
  18. Nixon ended the gold backing of the dollar back in the 70's. Now it's just government promises... and printing presses...
