  1. Yes, I've bought and sold a few items there. You can find some amazing deals there, if you're lucky. Just ignore that a lot of it is merely people trying to sell the things that they got for free.
  2. I'm still fairly inexperienced with music production and I wonder, what's the big difference between EQs that would make people spend hundreds on them? I mean, I thought they just make certain frequencies louder or quieter. How can they be much different in completing a task that sound so trivial (at least to me)? I understand that some have certain features that others don't have, like dynamic EQ, or M/S equing, but apart from that?
  3. Having the full version of Kontakt, we're spoilt. We get more free instruments than our hard drives can handle. But I remember what it was like not to have Kontakt and how happy I was when there was a free Kontakt Player version that I could use too. So, for the people who can't afford full Kontakt, this is good news. And for those who have the full version: We shouldn't complain. We're already getting plenty.
  4. Remember: It's only $1.24 per plugin, but possibly $37 to $74 per plugin that you'll actually use. ?
  5. Except maybe that most of us already have more compressors and DeEssers and EQs than enough. Even if I trusted Waves, I'd rather spend that money on something that I really need and want
  6. I can trigger MIDI patterns in Ableton Live by pressing single keys? Like I play C1 and Ableton Live plays a whole drum intro MIDI pattern and when I hit C2 I can make it play a different drum MIDI? How? I mean in the fashion like Ujam Beatmaker does. Not talking about triggering different clips in session view
  7. Yay, it's mister D-Fused Sounds in the house. I just saw the deal on KVR and though I'm not a fan of Waves and won't buy the bundle, I appreciate that you give an extra 32€ discount on top. Maybe I should check out your shop more often. ?
  8. I've already got VICE and Glory. They're nice. But I think in the future I'll just build my own Beatmakers by buying ReMIDI 2, throw some MIDI drum patterns into the slots, add an Ableton drum rack or drum VST and save it as presets in Ableton. Just waiting for ReMIDI 2 to be on sale again.
  9. Syntronik 2 contains presets from Syntronik 1 and additional presets that were made for version 2. The presets that were made for Syntronik 2 offer an edit tab that offers some powerful options for sound design that you don't have with Syntronik 1: You can switch each oscillator against one of the many other sampled oscillators, you have envelopes, a modulation matrix ... It almost feels like a real synthesizer. The legacy presets from Syntronik 1 that they've included in Syntronik 2 don't have the edit tab though. Only the new presets.
  10. I don't know if the coupons are generic or if they can only be used once. If somebody needs one, I don't need mine.
  11. The more they try to make us subscribe the less willing I am to even buy from them ?
  12. Deal runs out soon and I'm still undecided. Does anyone know if one can upgrade from LE to the full version? Does MSoundFactory LE count toward the bundle prices? And which sounds are included in the free player version?
  13. The dot that causes problems is not in the filename but in the name of the preset that is inside the file. In Dexed it was similar but with a different character, I think it was "[".
  14. Check your Arturia account on Black Friday. If you own two synths already you might get the V Collection 9 for 150€. That's the offer that I got. I only had Pigments and Analog Lab Lite at that moment. And 33 instruments for 150€ is roughly 4.55€ per synth which is super-cheap.
  15. On the other hand I had a file that Dexed couldn't convert. I don't remember which one it was but it made Dexed crash whereas Arturia DX7 V was able to import it. I'm not sure if I imported it in FM8.
  16. I'm not a synth expert, never worked with the hardware synthesizer. I'm just a hobbyist. Dexed, FM8 and Arturia DX7 V all sound very good to me, but I don't have trained ears or professional speakers. What I can judge though is the user interface and here Arturia is my clear favourite. I like how it looks, the preset browser, the integrated tutorials and how you can access all its presets from within Analog Lab.
  17. @Bruno de Souza Lino my thoughts exactly.
  18. The "All the web patches" link has them in the folder "Dexed v1_0 (Black Winny)/DXCARTFO". But you can also download just the factory patches from https://yamahablackboxes.com/collection/yamaha-dx7-synthesizer/patches/
  19. Can't you try it out already? I believe you can run any Melda product in demo mode for 14 days.
  20. I read that it crashes a lot. But maybe he's fixed that by now. Is it any good? Has anyone tried it? How does it compare to bx_masterdesk?
  21. Are my comments a joke to you? ? I already mentioned that FM8 can import sysex files and I gave a direct link to a huge collection of such files. The collection also contains the original DX7 banks, I believe.
  22. https://nnaud.io/plugins/game-boi-free-retro-game-inspired-plugin/ According to the website: Doesn't sound like it to me at all, but still useful. A free rompler, can't hurt, except your hard drive space maybe. It's funny, because it's been around for a few days but I couldn't install it. Today I received a newsletter mail, telling me that they've fixed the installer issue. It didn't install the files to the correct location. I find it funny because New Nation has a long tradition of fails and it just won't end. However, it's free, so I won't complain.
  23. True. I still managed to get it though by copy-pasting the attributes from the button to the attributes of an "Add to cart" button on a different page, using right-click > Inspect.
