Thanks Mibby ? I tried the Elements version of Stereoizer so far and for a feature limited one, it's not too bad, so I will consider the full version. I tend do just mono using a mid/side EQ or some of the PA plugins which include the mono controls. From a Youtube walkthrough video I stumbled across, their mono filter seemed to have some additional controls over it. Although I can't for the life of me think what they were now! I will give the Stereoizer some serious thought now too.
-
They have supposedly tried to address that in their recent updates. A lot of variables though, so I'd be very surprised if it's addressed across all cases.
-
That's one thing I didn't like either. If you select credit, you can enter the coupon code, but if you go with Paypal then you authorize the payment first and then go back to review order where you can enter the code to reduce the price. It all works correctly and you only pay $5 but I don't like it working that way around. At $9.99 it's still a great deal, so I wasn't too concerned as it's not a lot of money, but I would rather they change it.
-
Yep, they had fixed it by the time I'd made my reply. Looks like they're just rotating free certificates instead of paying for one so they need to keep updating. I noticed even the new one expires in September.

AudioAssault: The Crown - Guitar Amp Sim (Mesa Boogie) $5 with code - RRP $39.99 Don't let the price fool you. This punches well above it's price ? Use: AAFIFTY to get it down to $5 3 Channel Californian Amp Sim Modeled on the Mesa Boogie Triple Crown 100* https://audioassault.mx/products/thecrown The clean channel on this one is probably a bit nicer than some of their others. The gain channels are great too and it's got some different functionality. Instead of just clicking on the different IRs, it's more of an amp room so you can just click on the different amps as well and move the microphones too. A great feature that all amps should have, is that all the controls are per channel, so you can configure clean different to high gain and all the bass, mid, treble etc are retained when you switch between channels ? Walk through

Looks like they probably just haven't renewed their certificate in time and probably not too much to be concerned about. Not very professional on their part and I wouldn't be entering credit card details. Not required for this anyway though.

Pros and cons for sure ? The idea of using up a USB port purely for a license seems a little archaic to me. I've got enough audio interfaces, MIDI keyboards, regular keyboards, external hard drives and things that actually do useful stuff when taking up a USB port that make them worth being plugged in and they all add up Then there's the risk of it being misplaced, lost, or stolen if travelling, or gigging. I likely would've have upgraded to 12 when I did unless they got rid of the dongle. Having the option is good though. Lots of people like the eLicenser. That said, ain't broke, don't fix it can't be underestimated either ?
-
That's often not a bad approach. I did the upgrade to 12 and definitely really like it and some of the new features and the conversion was reasonably seamless all things considered. I was converting across to 12 early on so their servers were a bit stressed. I'd recommend 12 though for sure ?
-
@Peter - IK Multimedia are you able to advise on this one please? The upgrade does qualify, however only the free Classic T-Racks Equalizer is available to select. Thanks
-
Living on the edge! Hopefully it's a nice seamless update and doesn't introduce any new issues ?
-
That makes sense and no, they're not exactly cheap.. if it wasn't for the Groove3 pricing "error" and picking up a heap for crazy prices and then getting offered the $99 upgrade, I quite likely wouldn't own the full bundle either! Very glad I do though. There are some real gems in there that will get a heap of use and almost all of the rest are very good as well. That's great about the single $25 charge being a bundle. That should make resale much easier for you ?
-
Value is different to cost and it's in the $49 section though. IK has normally worked on value, so even with the APD one it's a shift from what they've previously done.
-
Any reason in particular you're selling it? I've normally found their stuff to be pretty good.

I had just thought the exact same thing and bought that too... I should've checked back here first! I went to the qualifying section, clicked on buy there, so by rights it should apply to anything in the $49.99 entry point.
-
Haha... you've come to the wrong place! I had no intention of buying it whatsoever either.. I'd even seen it before it had been posted on here and glossed over it.. but after a second pass and demo... this forum has cost me again ? But I'm really looking forward to using this one now... ooops.. I mean, yes.. It's a terrible synth and would only suit dubstep, money saved.. phew! ?
-
I didn't think too much of the presets, although there were a couple I liked, but creating patches from scratch was what made me end up buying it. Might be worth another quick look at that price.
-
Placer probably has it's place... no pun intended ? But I'm not seeing much of a need for that one personally, although I can imagine it's pretty useful for certain types of work. That's a shame about the UI and I've seen plenty of devs make complex plugins intuitive, so I'm sure they could improve there too by the sounds. I was mainly considering the Monofilter as the full version, but stereo widening tools can all be a bit different, so I'll give that one some thought too. I didn't know that about the one seat.. considering their full price, that is very poor of Nugen if that's the case.
-
I grabbed this as well. At that price it's really good. I'm only scratching the surface of it and actually it took me a little while to work my way around it, but this can get some huge sounds. I do have Native Instruments FM8 so I did consider giving it a miss, but I prefer a lot about this synth in comparison. UI and effects are way better, but that's just an example. I guess this might be why they didn't list VST3 as supported: V1.1.1- VST3 support (beta, please report any issues) It's not perfect though and I noticed some small annoyances, but for the sound at that price, it's worth it and they may even fix things as well ?
-
Didn't take you long from demo... that's a good sign!
