  1. Out if curiosity, what's the cheapest it ever gets to? I've seen €99 a number of times.
  2. I've seen this one go on sale quite a few times and didn't quite see much of a need.. turns out I've been sleeping on it! This thing can be used to tweak the sound and fatten like they say, but you can actually get crazy creative with it and abuse it. For $12.46 and the fun I've had in one session and the track I've sketched out while messing with it as a result, it's a total no brainer ? PSP once again, did not disappoint! This was also a handy video covering some more of the LFO and automation etc possibilities:
  3. Same and I'd recommend them and their products pretty regularly... And while I still do rate (and use) their products, I don't praise them as much as... When they were good, i.e. pre merger!
  4. For me I'm not sure they quite balance out, but I can see they would for some people ? As for my wallet.. PA hasn't been getting it, but I've been getting quite a few things from other developers instead during this time, so my wallet still isn't seeing a benefit yet ?
  5. Lurssen and Masterdesk are both quite decent. I would normally just use separate compressors, saturation, EQ, etc but for ease of use and decent results these can get people in the ballpark depending on how good the mix is. I've been pretty wary on Cloudbounce and would likely trust PA's newer online (or desktop version) AI Mastering instead personally.
  6. It depends on the company, but for Plugin Alliance, almost all in that range, or less ? $25 was generally the top if I just wanted something sooner, but that was rare.
  7. That's exactly what I do. There is almost always a sale! There are a few exceptions and I have skipped a few intro prices, only to see the standard price increase and they haven't dipped back that low ever again. But the money saved by waiting in general easily makes up for these couple of plugins. So many RRP are a joke these days, so I largely ignore them.
  8. I'd agree with you there. They broke vouchers which I don't like and the minimum spend means most months I'm not buying anything from them anymore, but the new releases at $31 for things you really want is much better. I'm not normally in a mad rush, as I've got plenty of alternatives, so I was generally happy just waiting 6 to 12 months and get stuff $25 or under, but I do like this $31 for new releases as an option and I'm sure plenty of people are taking advantage of it. I haven't used it yet, but I wouldn't rule it out if there's anything extra special they release.
  9. That's about what I expected, but glad to see it confirmed. That counts me out, as I think at some stage I might crossgrade to the V Collection.
  10. I don't have the previous collection, although I do have the FX Collection 3, Pigments and Lab. The only reason I'd consider this is if it gave a greater discount on the crossgrade to V Collection than what I'd pay for this ?
  11. I've never played a real one, but I will say that IK's Hammond B-3X sounds very good to me and better than any other virtual options I've tried. It's fun to play too.
  12. Definitely a step in the right direction by automating the process, but this one snippet still sits a little uneasily with that "if" wording. IMO ideally iLok as a platform should take responsibility for that as well, once an approved licence has been activated initially.
  13. I love that it prompted you to score some freebies and deals! This forum is great like that and easily my favourite ? Enjoy your new sounds! Analog Lab V is a great and the upgrade goes on sale at times too. If you can, sweet talk them into giving you a Lab 4 license instead as it's got a heap more sounds and a few other benefits too from memory ?
  14. Thanks Fleer. I have noticed that does seem to be a bit of a trend. Lars.. please go forth an hunt down some pricing errors on the newly added 4 synths from the collection! ? Haha..
  15. A very good point. I also find it a little funny the thought of paying an annual fee for ZDT to protect the licenses of the software you already paid for.. almost sounds like WUP to me! ? My preference is serial, or offline license file, so if the developers choose to go with iLok instead, then maybe they should pay for ZDT.. or like you said, iLok include it free. But they seems to charge money whichever way they turn, so not sure I see that happening! Maybe if the new open standard C.L.A.P plugin format gets off the ground the same group could look at an open license system based off blockchain and we could ditch iLok altogether ?
  16. Out of curiosity, if I had grabbed this, would it have made any worthwhile reduction in the crossgrade price to V Collection 9? I've been toying with the idea of maybe picking that up at some stage. Or would it be cheaper overall to just to wait and do the crossgrade instead? So far I only have Pigments, Analog Lab and FX Collection 3 really.
  17. Definitely a nice reverb that one. Pretty sure I still have an extra unregistered key for the 2445 EMT reverb ? It now has a new home with one of the members on here ?
  18. Also now available at AudioDeluxe. OldTimerME for $16.65 with code SUMMER22 and you get Antares Choir free with purchase plus earn $0.83 DeluxeBucks ? https://www.audiodeluxe.com/products/psp-audioware-oldtimerme
  19. There's definitely some benefits with that, but if there was another licensing scheme that was as pervasive, then most of those benefits would apply. For me, that's iLoks number one benefit. But they could improve many aspects really easily and keep everyone happy. If they made all authorizations available by Cloud, or Machine and then had an option for a periodic check-in so it cached the authorization in case of internet outages, travel, etc then automatically return those licenses to your license pool, then I'd be more comfortable with it. That would protect everyone from hard drive failures, upgrades messing with the machine ID, etc. Then if people still want to use a dongle, given them that as an option too. Simple way of using the current platform but not penalizing paying customers. I still much prefer real offline keys and offline auth files too! I always support those developers more as I like to reward them ?
  20. I'm generally impressed with most of the plugins I've tried from these guys. Some more than others, but overall they do well.
  21. PSP @ JRRShop - Oldies, but goodies ? https://www.jrrshop.com/psp-oldtimer $99.00 / $19.99 https://www.jrrshop.com/psp-oldtimermb-multiband-compressor-plugin $199.00 / $49.99 Both cheaper in cart and can use the GROUP code for a slight extra saving. - Also now available at AudioDeluxe for $16.65 for OldTimerME with code SUMMER22 and you get Antares Choir free with purchase plus earn $0.83 DeluxeBucks ? https://www.audiodeluxe.com/products/psp-audioware-oldtimerme
  22. I went ahead and grabbed The Famous E Electric Piano and while I did already have some options for Rhodes, this one really is quite nice. I don't even know how to describe it, but it's got a warm an intimate kind of feel and sound to it ? I love the way it sounds when you hold a note for longer and that really nice vibrato. That's probably one of the big differences between what I had and this one. I could probably add some effects to my existing synths/instruments and get a bit closer to it, but some of the supplied presets get it perfect, so for what it cost, it's worth it. There are a decent number of presets too. I tend to program my own when it comes to synths, basses and other things, but not so much pianos (yet!). There's a good variety in there too. Apart from the sound though, this company just seems to get it. I haven't brought anything from them before, so I was impressed by all the simple touches, like clear installation instructions with the serials for Native Access built into the instructions, exact file sizes to check the downloads and a few other things that made for a nice and simple overall experience. I haven't tried the freebies yet either. I suspect this won't be my last purchase from them! ?
  23. I suspect they're going to sell all of these individually before dropping a bundle with them all, just to milk it as far as possible. That way people jumping in one of the bundles have already paid for at least some of the products in it.
  24. I was thinking I might grab the The Famous E Electric Piano.. But I do have quite a few Rhodes patches in various instruments and the IK Stage 73 Mark V along with any others that come with Sampletank 3 / 4... so I'm a little on the fence with it. I've added it to the order for now though and will decide.
