  1. I like leaving it installed, but inactive to check for updates, or install a new plugin, so for me it's not too bad a compromise. The fact you need to do it, is appalling though and they just seem completely ignorant to customer demands for changing it. I've read pages of criticisms about it in their forums and even mentioned it in support tickets too. They just don't care. Same with them force installing .aax even though I'll never use them.
  2. Welcome Xoo and you probably don't.. but I do really like some of these! If I didn't already own them, I'd be grabbing it! Reverbs and delays in many ways have such unique character that I don't mind having lots of options.. definitely not needed though.. Haha..
  3. I'm glossing over this one for now.. I tend to not buy anything UA now unless it's a bundle / upgrade. The best prices are all for new users, not those that buy each item over time. As for their sims, I've managed to pick up about 3 for free, or included as a free upgrade (Luna Pro bundle) and I think they actually sound very reasonable. I'm already pretty well covered with Tonex and a bunch of others though, so I just can't see much need to buy this one for myself personally.
  4. I'd agree with most of those, apart from UAD. I just rename it to UA disConnect.exe and it never starts unless I ask it to. I do love some of those simple ones like Kilohearts which I think is just an exe installer that runs on demand as you need it to, without even needing to install it.
  5. Next installment: Advent Calendar Day #3: Inject True Hollywood Intensity into Your Projects With 100 FREE Ear-Shatteringly Epic Braam Hits https://www.ghosthack.de/cinematic-essentials-braams-volume-2
  6. There are some additional cross-grades, especially from the Guitar Amp Bundle I think I saw.
  7. Online, but a simple serial number from memory and seems to be the same according to this:
  8. Thanks Carl, I wasn't aware of the ujam link, but now some of their symphonic ranges make a little more sense, as I thought they were a slightly unusual fit for them. I'd actually love to see consolidation of a lot of company's installers, similar to how we have iLok being common across many developers. At this stage though, I'm only thinking the likely contenders would be either Native Access, or Pulse and I'm not sure either of those would be a desirable fit.
  9. I have that exact same problem with a few different companies too!
  10. Valid concern and you're not alone there. Spitfire definitely has a mix... They all seem to have a preference for their own players at the moment. It is at least somewhat reassuring that Spitfire have literally just released new additions for free to SSO though. Still looking forward to trying them!
  11. Also on that page: UPGRADE TO TRINITY DRUMS 2 AT A REDUCED PRICE: $15 Quite a few people probably got the original Trinity as a freebie a while back from Best Service, so this might be save them a few more bucks if they're considering it 🙂
  12. I tend not to use these types of tools, but even I grabbed it a while back! It gets rave reviews from just about everyone, it's a talented dev and they have really fair prices. I haven't spent a lot of time with it yet, but it does seem quite interesting and useful and it might be good for generating some ideas as starting points.
  13. It seems like whatever we're buying is always going to get cheaper as these companies target new buyers more than existing, so sitting out some of these sales when they aren't the best ones makes perfect sense. My EDU discount was running out during their prior sales and I got SSO at the lowest I'd seen it ever, so I grabbed it. Really nice library, but I'm sure you've already got enough to wait it out until they offer something decent. In saying that, there have been plenty of companies that held out on their flagship product/s and never discounted enough and now they have, I have no interest in them, as I've covered them with other products, so it can also be a risky game that Spitfire is playing.

  15. Agreed! I half wondered if it was a pricing mistake at first 🤣 Some of these sound amazing.

  17. Welcome Brian! Always nice when it works out like that! With a lot of these things if you're not in a hurry you can almost collect entire bundles for only a few bucks, so I wouldn't be surprised. Totally get it on the physical box side of things as well. Just made me pause to look around at a few items taking up a chunk of desk real estate that aren't seeing as much use these days

  19. It is nice seeing something like that and especially with it not being so commonly given away like many of the freebies tend to be. Here's hoping for more of the series
